I would describe my identity as a very unique one. For instance it was developed over years of hard-work and misfortune. Growing up in low income family I’ve learned to appreciate what comes to me when it comes to me, this has taught me to be patient and to live within my means. Growing up in a very violent and troubled part of the city meant I could not grow up normally, I was sheltered (continuously). I could not play outside or visit friends, it wasn’t until my mother became a realtor and my father gained a promotion which led to us moving away from what is now more of a slum than what it was. Through years of being surrounded by wildlife I finally figured out my calling, which is animal rehabilitation or at least to set up some sort of refuge for animals who would otherwise perish in the wild. With this being said, I also focus my efforts towards the environment, which ultimately led to me beekeeping. I believe that if you do your part to solve a problem you have every right to complain about it, however, I don’t mean to come off as being irresponsibly dauntless, what I mean is that if you play your part, fix the problem (or at least help solve the problem), you can never hold it against yourself for not trying or succeeding. As much as a cliché as it may seem I believe that harsh times build character and that they most certaninly do not last forever. As years pass, from studying animals and plants on a daily basis, I’ve learned that life, regardless of what is in front of it or holding it back will always find a way to persevere. Never in my life would I have ever pictured myself training and rehabilitating dangerous birds of prey and various reptiles, nor did I picture myself dealing with swarms of bees at such a young
