Why I want to Attend GHP 2013 The Governor’s Honors Program has been a dream of mine ever since by brother, Dammy, went there. He would talk about it constantly while I listened intensively. Dammy spoke of the classes he had for technology, his roommate, and the fun classes and activities he got to do after he finished classes. He told me about the time he went swimming and the gym class he had. Dammy also spoke about the new people he met, his PA, and how much fun they had. His words encouraged me to try and make it to GHP. He has always been my role model and I try to follow in his footsteps, especially when he talks about the activity with excitement.
When you ask somebody why they chose the path they are taking they will usually respond with the sense that they have wanted to follow that path for as long as they can remember, sometimes they lie about this, and sometimes that is the truth. It is not in my case.
When I found out about this opportunity I was extremely excited. I am always up for learning and experiencing new things, especially when they involve something I love. I want to attend the Ag-Discovery Program at Texas A&M University because I feel certain that it would give me a chance to expand my knowledge in agriculture science. It will also be an introduction into life at college . This program will help me advance my knowledge and help pursue my career in animal studies. If accepted, I would work respectfully, responsibly and always be ready to learn each day. Attending this program will show colleges that I am serious about my studies and that I am committed to learning. It will also show them that I have set goals for myself and
I admire how the university allows students to spend their first two years taking various general courses in the College of LSA that help them decide on a future that is fitting for them. Although confident I want to continue my education in the College of Pharmacy, I will have two years to determine if I am interested in pursuing a PharmD, PhD in pharmaceutical sciences or another alternative path. What appealed to me that most schools do not have is Michigan’s REU Program that allows undergraduate students to have research opportunities to help advance them early in their college careers. I also look forward to gaining practical experience and clinical experience if enrolled. The College of LSA and the College of Pharmacy are both conveniently located on Central Campus, close to the heart of the social and educational scenes. Being able to take classes and live in the most inhabited part of campus allows me to get involved more easily, while everything is at the tip of my
Not only might this program ignite an interest in me pursuing an engineering field in the Army or Navy but would also give me a foundation to build off if I do decide to pursue a profession there. Once I graduate from college I plan to pursue a job that would allow me to gain experience while also giving me the opportunity to continue exploring my career path. After I gather some more experience from my job, I hope to open my own business, specializing in my chosen engineering discipline. The experience and knowledge that I can gain from this program will be valuable in every step of attaining my career
Many friends have taken or are going to take this class, which motivates my inner want in exploring this advanced class. Before my junior year began, I took time and vacillated between taking AP literature or AP biology--I decided on the latter. My masochistic self and other peers took AP chemistry last school year; knowing that there is a lot of work in that class, I didn’t want to add another class with a massive workload, which is why I find myself here in my senior
Out of all of the skin care products in the world, your bathroom cabinet needs to be filled with products researched and designed by me. When I entered high school, I discovered my passion for selecting lip sticks, lip glosses, lotions, perfumes, and makeup foundations. You name it. After learning

McBride’s mother was a quester. At a young age her family migrated across the western world from Poland to the United States. She grew up in small town Suffolk, North Carolina. Her quest had multiple stops along to way to a final destination; making their family’s journey as a whole
Ever since I was in middle school I knew what I wanted to be and that is a doctor. Ever since that day my mind hasn’t faltered and I’ve been doing everything I can to get me there. My first step was going to a medical magnet high school which I did. In my high school I took classes such as AP Biology that really interested me. The great opportunities for research at Dartmouth for undergraduates would definitely help me get there because I would actually be doing what I love while opening my doors to even more opportunities.
Bill and Tim Allman. From the Olde Mill Farm to you. These are the words I have grown up seeing on the side of glass milk bottles displayed in my house. My legacy, four generations of farmers, have taught me the value the farming and hard work. For a long
I am attracted to this specific college and program because it is focused enough on what I need to be a Genetic Counselor. This major is not too focused where I would be forced to stay with genetics as a career if I decide to change my mind. Majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology would allow me to be exposed to other biological sciences besides Biology if I do decide to change my career choice.
Purdue is more than just a college to me. I was captivated by how Purdue allows students to achieve their goals, but also guides them to get there through challenging classes and caring staff. Purdue has proved to me that I can dive deep into the classes to learn about life in the real world, as well as thrive in it. With a club for everyone, I will be able to pursue my current passions as well as explore more. Purdue is not simply another college. Purdue is a school that will build the future of America and the
Why is this Graduate program right for you, both academically and professionally? What might you contribute to the program, both as a student and afterwards?
My Dream: I particularly love experimenting with the challenges involved in understanding Chemistry. The different aspects of Chemistry, as well as the continually changing requirements of our society, fascinate me. I wish to build up my career as a renowned researcher and participate in the cutting-edge research in the field of Chemistry. I also dream to have hundreds of publications in conferences and Journals with high impact factor. I believe that pursuing higher studies will be the best way for me to start the journey towards my goal. Moreover, the Ph.D. degree would not only extend my understanding of what I have learned until now but also help me to develop my career as an academician in future. A doctoral degree could help me to train up myself in finding; evaluating and documenting a research problem in a methodical way that I need most to become an organized and meticulous researcher in future. In every society, doctorates are widely recognized as exceptional talents and intellectual elites since they can have a significant contribution to the world through their research on analyzing the existing problems and finding feasible solutions.
