This upcoming New Year could be the best you’ve ever had.
This could be the year when you accomplish more than you ever imagined.
This could be the year when you finally feel content and stop waiting for the next big thing to make you happy.
This could be the year when you invest more in relationships.
This could be the year when you feel awesome about yourself.
When a New Year approaches, we all seem to get out a pen and start writing down our resolutions. While I am guilty of doing this myself, often trying to improve myself by forming new habits or setting new goals, one has to wonder when it becomes more important to consider of what to let go of rather than what you need to add to your life. 2015 was a great year for our family but it was also very challenging, one with many tears and anxiety. I’m kind of excited to start fresh with 2016 just around the corner. With that in mind, instead of adding resolutions and to-do’s for the new year, I’ve decided to take my own advice and let go of things for the new year.

Letting people take over your schedule.
In the last few years, I’ve cut way back on the number of events and obligations I commit to during the holiday season. I want to enjoy time with my friends and family and relax in the comfort of my home. I don’t want to rush around like a chicken with its head cut off. You can’t do it all, so pick and choose the most meaningful events carefully.
