My Observation During The Internship Period

The purpose of the proposed study is to explore how interns are influenced by the internship in regards to their career choice. The data will be collected from the three different field sites; Higbee and Associates, Legal Aid Society of Orange County and Public Defenders Office of Santa Ana with assessing total of 50-60 interns who will be participating in these three different field sites. Using the previous studies as a guideline I will use the combination of interviews and questionnaires to assess the attitudes of the interns regarding the before and after the internship. After assessing the interns the proposed study will conduct a follow-up study with the interns after six years to see the impact of the internship on the career

How have the values, attitudes, and beliefs of this organization developed and changed over a 40-year period, and how have these changes affected the way they deliver services?

An organization’s purpose and primary objectives, its internal function is defined in its mission statement. The mission statement assures that external and internal stakeholders understand the plan and goals the organization is trying to accomplish. An organizations philosophy explains the beliefs used to carry out that mission. The purpose of this paper is to discuss my organization’s mission, and my unit’s mission, and how they are aliened. I will discuss centralized and decentralized structures that apply to my facility. Furthermore, I will look at pros and cons of the facilities nursing model and discuss ways nursing could strengthen the organization.

The Office of the Inspector General (OIC) has worked since 1976 to combat fraud and abuse in Medicare, Medicaid, and other Department of Health and Human Service agencies (Week 5 Overview). HHS OIG is the largest inspector general’s office in the Federal Government, with approximately 1,600 dedicated to combating fraud, waste and abuse and to improving the efficiency of HHS programs (OIG.HHS. Gov). The organization utilized several other agency units that help make up the HHS OIG agency. Each department is an entity in itself that serves an agreement in the protection providing health insurance, promote public health, protect the safety of food and drugs, and provide funds for medical research and much more.

Alongside these nursing aids, our organization offers health concierge services to clients in their own comforts at home. Among the services we provide to our clients include Companion Care, which is designed to meet the needs of the elderly, Respite Care for patients recovering from illness, Jet Care geared towards the traveling customers, and Home Care that is focused on home-based care delivery. I have served in Home Care of La Jolla since its creation in 2002. The interest to offer a more customized and a need-based service to special groups in the society is the main reason for concentrating in the long-term care industry.

During both my internship and my pre-internship classroom experience, I have had students with suspected Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). One was in the process of being diagnosed with Alcohol Related Neurodevelopmental Disorder, the other was suspected to have partial Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Though both students were quite different, they did share some commonalities. Both had trouble with following directions and trouble with memory. I also had trouble reaching both in the classroom as they needed more individual instruction than I could give them. There were often times I felt like I was making no difference at all, which was devastating as a teacher. These students though the most challenging have made the most lasting impact

Weekly visits from the doctor helps keep the care going in the right track. A physiotherapist visits weekly and is also on call whenever needed. But his plan bristled with difficulties.

Since the hospital is a community based acute care hospital, there are numerous subunits. Under the president of Hospital AB and Health Center, the total organization is divided into seven major units which are controlled by seven senior vice presidents. Each unit under the senior vice president is further subdivided into sub units according to the services being provided. The hospital has a distinct subunit configuration for the nursing departments. Each unit is under either a vice president or a director. The major subunits are perioperative services, nursing practice and education, behavior health services, heart center, out patient women services and perinatal clinic, inpatient women services and pharmacy. Each of these major subunits is further subdivided based on the services being provided. The senior vice president for all these units also oversees the programs for patient safety, patient satisfaction and joint commission accreditation. The departments of imaging services, rehabilitation services, cancer center, breast center and quality management comes under another senior vice president (unknown author, 2005).

During my time at Accounting Firm X I learned many lessons that apply not only to accounting and the principles and practices associated with that subject, but also to life as a professional in a real world work setting. The purpose of this essay is to highlight my experiences at Accounting Firm X to shed light upon key learning experiences that can contribute to a holistic educational experience. In this essay I will first describe my goals and expectations. Next, I will go in to detail about my daily routine and how these exercises contributed toward the overall experience. I will then explore the overall lessons learned from my time spent at the firm.

Today was the first day of internship. I attended a new hire training secession about 8 hours and heard about the history of Novogradac & Company LLP, met the partners of the firm, completed all new hire paperwork and turned in to HR. In addition, I learned about ProSystem Engagement which company has been using for audit and tax preparation software. At the end of the day, all intern received a tour of office and met their own team members.
