What can be said about the passion that fuels the mind of a young woman? As a young child, passion was what I heavily relied on. Passion was the heaven sent I needed in order to be what I always dreamed of: a scientist. I remember pretending to save humankind with a cure all antidote that would save it from disease and disorder. The whole experience was very real to me then, as it is now. Ever since I was young, I wanted to make a difference in society that would impact it a much larger scale. That is why I firmly believe I am following my rightful pursuit as a Biology major who has a passionate interest in working within research. Factors I discussed in my other influenced me to choose this course of but primarily, it's the impact I could make on so many young leaders who look have similar backgrounds to mine that makes the major I am pursuing so much more attainable, no matter how difficult and demanding it can be at times. .My goals in life for myself and my family also contributes to my chosen field of study. These factors are so important to me because I view it as a solution that could inspire and influence so many others. The goal of being the first person on my mother's side to ever graduate from college. Also, the opportunity making my parents proud of their daughter, a daughter who will make the country they came to love and respect proud. The dream and passion to be a scientist will not only help my community here in The United States of America, but I also plan
Writing is not just marking letters, words, or symbols on a piece of work. My perspective states that writing is not just expressing yourself through words; in fact, it is mostly one’s expression; your emotions, thoughts, beliefs, etc. Correspondingly, according to myself, writing is extremely artistic and evocative way to reveal one self’s personality. Most important, I am in the creative writing class, because I desired to be in it, due to the fact that it is my passion, it is a way I can express myself thoroughly, and it makes me feel as if I am in a whole different world where I can reveal everything I desire.
My passion out of hundreds of careers in the U.S is to pursue a career in Nursing. I choose this career because l believes in the change that Nurse brings to help make the world a better place. To fully comprehend the changes Nurses are creating in our society today and why I ‘am passionate about been part of the revolution, one has to look at the role they play in enhancing healthcare service. Nurses play an essential role as the first line of defense for health wellness and information. In addition steeping into someone’s life at their lowest moment and making a difference to their overall experience is an incredible privilege. Mahatma Gandi once said, "the best way to find yourself, is to lose yourself in the service of others. Hopeless
Flurries of snow roiled in motion under the command of capricious, roaring winds. I stood and marveled at the sight as my eyes traced the white balls thudding against the ground and architectures all at once at exactly the same speeds. Particles of snow danced in joyful synchronization in mid December of ‘05. This was my earliest recollection. This was the day I left my family 12,678 kilometers away to come to the United states for the pursuit of a better way of life. I remember sitting on a rusty old bench on the first day of Kindergarten. The sounds of children at play echoed from the playground, stomping and running and laughing. None of the worries of adults crossed their minds, only how to elude capture by their friends. The rhythmic creaking of swings went back and forth, and some kids tried to time their jumps from the swings to the rhythm. I was one of those children growing up who would pry open a brand new remote control car to pull every component apart than play with it. I surmise this is where my love of engineering truly began.
To adequately explain my immense love of the arts and social sciences, I must first recount my experiences of art and how that experience shaped me to become, and I quote my mother, the “artsy fartsy” person I am today. Like any child, when I was in elementary school, I changed what career path I wanted to pursue frequently. In kindergarten, after watching Bob Ross paint in an afterschool infomercial that a teacher showed (and being so enthralled with it, I nearly cried), I decided I wanted to be an artist. A traveling art merchant who lived in Paris because to me, France was the epicenter of artistic innovation. My mother encouraged me to follow my heart, and I did. I'd won several local art competitions by the time I was ten and life was good. Sadly, by the time I was in third grade, my romanticized view of art had changed drastically. I was disenchanted with the art scene in my town, and I told my mother that I wanted nothing to do with crayons, let alone a full-blown art career. Not surprisingly, I quickly latched on to another hobby, singing. My passion for singing, at the time, was so pure and my talents were limitless. My friends and family told me it was a natural gift, and that I was given a vocal range that rivaled even the best in the business, and I believed them. They fueled my desire to train my voice, to join every local choir I could, and to eventually even travel as far as Los Angeles to showcase my talents. But, I slowly became disenchanted with singing
Everyone has that certain thing that makes them who they are. That certain thing for me is soccer. It’s my hobby, my biggest interest, and my passion. Soccer isn’t just a sport for me, it’s my life. It has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have played the intriguing game of soccer since I was four years old, and I have loved it ever since.
I hope to gain work experience, to grow in my love for the outdoors and my passion for protecting the environment, and to meet new people who share my passions. I look forward to seeing Yellowstone for the first time and gaining skills that will prepare me for my future occupation in Conservation. Likewise, I seek to earn the tools needed to be successful with my career goals. With this preparation, I will continue fueling my passion for Conservation by involving myself with various programs that further my education and drive me to further my work in the field. By testing out a career in Conservation, I will have a clearer idea of whether or not I wish to pursue a similar occupation.
My initial passion for science is where my ambition began but immediately after beginning practical experience, I became inundated with intrigue for medicine. The prospect of a career that will push my learning capabilities to the limit while keeping up with the endless advances that often forefronts modern medicine in the news, fascinates me. From the respected staff to the thankful patients, the versatility and reward of medicine as a subject has become the reason that compels me to pursue this vocational course where the aim is primarily to help those in need.
When I first glanced at the prompts and saw the one that asked me to speak of a passion of mine, I knew that this was definitely the prompt I had to choose. My passion is my love for comedy. Comedy has always been a huge part of my life and continues to be to this day. It has encompassed my life for as long as I can remember. Whether I was looking to others to make me laugh, developing laughter from being around my family, or myself making others laugh the memories are embedded in my mind. With these memories I have come to the conclusion that I have always found a way to make others laugh. I really don’t know if I make people laugh to gain friends or some other reason; whatever it may be, it has sparked a realization that this is something I love to do.
Although life is overbooked and filled with stressors, I can relax and enjoy playing soccer. Wearing the colors and badge of the team I’m on is something I hold with pride, and I work to play well while representing my team. At the same time, I train and work hard to excel and reach higher levels of competitive soccer. Even with the constant ups and downs and quiet car-rides when we lose, my passion for the game still tends to bring me back to the game and take my mind off of all my cares. Many a time I would sit and want to quit, but all the adversity and strong work ethic shapes who I am today. Through all my experiences, soccer is one of my favorite things to do and a passion I fully enjoy. Playing in the high-intensity travel and school games, plus coaching of my little brother’s team all are activities I love.
My passion is about soccer and how there are kids that can’t play this amazing sport due to financial costs. The equipment needed for this sport can be on the costly side, just for a soccer ball can be $20 and shin guards can be $15 and for a pair of cleats is $50 to like $250. For buying all of this could cost people next to $200 on the cheap side. My passion for soccer and this organization came by when I had a neighbor who couldn't afford all the stuff needed to play the sport and he was really good. So I always wondered if goodwill is really the only store to have used stuff for a good price but they never really have soccer stuff. Then I found this place that will take used soccer equipment and put it at very low prices for people that
My path to medicine does not follow a typical route. It was not until I was 25 that I found my passion for medicine. Shortly before then, I had emigrated from Australia to the United States. I saw this move as an opportunity to leave my first career, banking, behind. I had known for a few years that banking just was not for me. While I liked helping people achieve their goals, financial goals seemed rather shallow. After all, there is only so many houses, cars, boats, etc. that somebody can enjoy. I wanted to help people in a way that was more personally fulfilling, so I decided to train as an EMT shortly after I immigrated. I saw EMT training as a pathway to help people in what is often a time of their greatest need. However, it was not
There are a variety of things that I love and that I love to do, but I only have one true passion; that passion is with animals. Not only do I love animals in general, but I also love caring for and working with them. For as long as I can remember, I have always had a pet present in my life. I like to think that for that reason it is why I love animals as much as I do. For the most part, animals are friendly and can be like a friend when you need one. Animals are also incredibly cute, which is kind of a lame point to make, but it is still is an important part as to why I feel such compassion towards animals. As a child, I always had a special spot in my heart for animals. I can recall as far back as my first cat, Casper, who was like a best friend for my young self. He would let me play with him, he was gentle, and he was very friendly. He fell ill at an old age and I would wipe his drool and brush his knotty fur because it was hard for him to care for himself. My interest in the veterinary medicine most likely comes from this experience. Now I have two more cats, Phoebe and Luna, and one dog, Kasey. I like to think I have a great connection with all three, but I have an especially strong bond with my youngest cat, Luna. When I picked out Luna as a kitten at the shelter, I could see that we immediately had a connection. She was a very feral kitten and would not let anyone get close to her, let alone touch her, but she let me pet her. It was in that moment that I knew that
Hope you are well. My name is Mitchell, I fell in love with cooking and baking when I was a small girl. My mother was an excellent cook, her food was exemptio0nal and everybody who visited our home used to give her very good remarks about the food. Our neighbors used to seek her services to bake for them cakes for different occasional. Her cookies were very good and my friends used to visit my home just to get a cookie from her. She taught most of the things I know about cooking and I believe I learned from the best. I thank her for introducing me to cooking and baking.
My desire and passion for helping others is intertwine with my personal and professional life experiences. Growing up in Guatemala, a third world country, helped me become the person I am today. My first twelve years in my native country taught me lessons that changed my perspective and shaped who I am and who I want to be in the future. From a young age, I had this great admiration for nature and in Guatemala I was able to admire it. I remember endless nights looking at the stars and patiently waiting for a shooting star. Nature was my play room. Life in Guatemala was beautiful but it wasn’t easy. It was not until I came to the United States that I begin to realize how much my mother had sheltered me from the violence and poverty that surrounded us. Sadly, my beautiful country is fill with corruption. The rich exploit the poor and laws are created to protect does in power regardless of their wrongdoing. In Guatemala, women are treated unequally because our society has rigid gender roles and has created a culture that takes pride in masculinity and machismo. It was well known in my small village that if a man found a female attractive and wanted her for himself he could “robarte” which translates to “steal you.” My mother and many other women in my family experienced this. My father was a policeman in Guatemala and he was attracted to my mother. My mother, on the other hand, was not looking for any serious relationship because she was only 17 years old. The city closest to
Almost all little girls start their primary schooling years wanting to play school and wanting to learn. At home they act like they are teaching their own classroom and leading their group of students in front of them (most likely a stuffed animal), but their imagination, creativity, and eagerness to learn is at the peak when they begin their first day of school. Ever since that day I still want to be an educator and to make a difference in this field for the better. I have always found that the most intriguing thing for me in life is conveying knowledge and skills onto other people and watching in their eyes when the switch finally clicks that they understand what I have been trying to teach them. Knowing that the impact you made for just that short amount of time in that child’s life may never be forgotten.
