My Past, Present, and Future

In this essay I will be writing about the past, present and future of my life. I will be

reflecting on many different aspects of my life good and bad. This paper will show how I have

coped with different situations and how they have affected my life. It will also tell you how these

different situations have changed me as a person and how I wish for my future to be.

My parents went through a lot of jobs throughout my child hood, but at this particular time my dad lost his job and my mom ended up getting diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis which made things even harder at home. My mom was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis when I was 14 years old. The doctors informed us that it was due to excessive alcohol intake. This event led to me getting a job and helping out the family. It was really hard to watch my mom’s illness get worse due to her not taking care of herself. My dad and I tried to help her and get her to stop drinking but it didn’t work because my dad drank just as much. I felt like there was nothing I could do, and that I had nobody around that understood what I was going through. I started opening up to my family and friends after a while and telling them what was going on. I was extremely happy to learn that having my friends and family as a support group helped me cope with the situation. When I came to realize this I was rarely home and always with my friends to take my mind off of everything. I believe that if I wouldn’t have had the great friends and family to help me through this hard time that I would have been a lot more stressed out and unhappy.
