Many people have goal short, mid, and long term some of these goals can be personal or educational. What do goals help you with? By setting up goals what do you achieve, how do you set one up and follow that goal. I have created my own educational and personal goals for high school, college, and career. As a high schooler we want to be able to go to college and to be able to reach that, I have set up goals that would lead me to my result. The goals that I have set up was my two-high school goal are to join clubs and to graduate. Having a college goal is difficult, when I say "difficult " I mean we still don’t know what we want... for example what school? where do you want to live, do you even want to go to college? But I have some goas that I would like to reach. My first college goal would be living in a dorm, living at the campus would save gas which means saving money. My second goal is to make new friends, this may be goal that everyone has since preschool. Making new friends means going out having fun because we all know that college can be stressful, but having friends is also helpful with your study's, they could help you on something you don’t understand. My career goals are to become a doctor or a nurse. Becoming a nurse could be baby steps to leading me into becoming a doctor. High schools are what people may recall as stressful, well I like to consider it as our part of our life's where we need to focus and have lots of fun. Some people may not have
For me, thinking about high school is not that scary. I'm actually really excited for my future in high school as I didn’t have a good experience in grade 8. By the end of high school, my goal is to get at least 75% and over in all my subjects. I want to leave high school knowing that I improved more and more each year. Another goal of mine is that by the end of high school I wish to have a proper understanding of wht I want to do in my future. Its important for me to be happy with what I choose to do in my future because if you make a decision with thinking it fully through and not being committed with what you choose, it can ruin your future. My last goal is to leave high school being proud of everything ive done. That’s really important
I want my first year in high school to go very well, and in order to do that I need to set some strong goals. My goals cover my academics, sports, involvement, and social life. The academic goal I have is to get at least an "A-" in every subject, just like I did in 8th grade. Having at least a 3.6 GPA by the end of the year would be a very significant achievement for me. I plan on growing a strong and healthy relationship with all my teachers. Sports and clubs are going to be a very significant part of my year. I intend to have a great cross country season and also get a lead role in the school play this spring once cross country season ends. Signing up for the bowling club is also one of my biggest desires this year. I want a be an active
In high school and college, everyone is supposed to have goals. For those goals, you are supposed to have certain standards. Some standards are different from others. My goals are to the 9th grade, high school in general, and college. Avid, in general, has goals that they'd like us to follow.
all my credits needed to graduate. I already have all my credits to be a senior, but I just need two more
My educational goals have been clear for years. Freshman year of high school, I fell in love with genetics and all the possibilities of helping with it. I didn’t even know what kind of jobs existed in the genetics field, but I knew I would do whatever job that got me helping people. Junior and senior year when I was looking for colleges, I was shocked and almost devastated when I discovered that only one university in Texas offered a genetics major and that I would have to go out of state if I didn’t get accepted there. Luckily, I got accepted and I’m on my way there. Finally, being in college has helped me discover more about what jobs are available to me and the job I want is to be a genetics counselor. Graduate school for genetics counseling
The things that you do in high school affect your life. Setting goals will help you achieve your goals. This paper are my life goals in order each paragraph is a Goal. This paper shows what I have already done to achieve my goal. What I need to do to achieve my goals.
For my overall academic goal I would love to get a 4.0 G.P.A but I would at least like to get a 3.5 G.P.A in all of my general and my college major classes for each semester I take at Florissant Valley and also when I attend Forest Park. My strengths to achieve my goal is to stay in my books and study hard to make sure I dont get distracted so I can achieve my goal every semester. Even though I do well in school I need to work on a couple things, one thing I need to work on is my health and wellness, because to achieve my goal I need to have strength and energy and sense my health is poor I get really tired all the time, also something else I need to work on is time management, I need to stop procrastinating and do things right when I get them
Have you ever wondered about how you’ll graduate high school? If you attend college, or go traveling around the world instead? I know I do, a lot. I especially think about what strengths I will need in order to take part in college and achieve my goal of being an architect. However, I can tell that my abilities of getting work done and learn new things quickly will lead me to graduating high school with a 4.0 grade point average and attending Stanford college which will let me access my dream job or becoming an architect. But before I can go to Stanford, I first have to work on my skills.
When you don’t make a plan, then plan to fail. These are the words to live by. This year 8th grade has been challenging, but I want to make it easier. With the right plan, I will make a difference in the outcome of this school year. That’s why I am making my academic goals. I would like to try to get a 3.0 or higher, I will increase my NWEA test scores and I will my improve my behavior.
Setting goals help increase your motivation by creating a positive climate. They help you plan and gain control over your future and they also add challenge and purpose to your life. Goals also provide a sense of accomplishment. By setting goals you put more focus on the results which make you work smarter not harder, and they reduce stress and add meaning to your life (Milne, 2001, para.). Educational goals are very important to have when thinking of school or even while you are in school. “By
Goals were established in the beginning of this semester that I have tried to accomplish in the past few months. One of my goals was to receive a grade of 90% or higher on my Biology class. To be able to achieve this goal, I started to meet with my biology teacher, Dr. Combs, depending on when she had time to help me and whenever I was available as well. Some days we would meet once a week, but other times we would meet twice a week and discuss what we were learning and the places where I was having trouble in. Another goal was to not fall asleep in any of my classes and not oversleep for my classes. The way I tried to maintain this goal was by setting alarms according to my schedule to have enough time to get ready and be in class. I
Have you ever wondered what it means to set goals? Well, goal setting means to make a plan for yourself which you like to achieve so that after every goal you can feel good. After completing every goal you will feel great! Like Psychologist Carol Dweck says “having a growth mindset you Believe the harder you work, the better you can become”. But then again, we have to have realistic and do-able goals not those that we will never complete. For my own goals, I would like to learn any foreign language other than Spanish. I would also like to gain more muscle and not fat, and ultimately I would like to achieve my most important goal which is to get my bachelors in criminal justice.
For someone to succeed in life, they have to experience different things. School is one of the most crucial factors for someone to succeed, but when college approaches, this is the time when you should set everything aside until you have graduated. But even before thinking about going to college, you should set a goal for high school. Every goal for a middle school student should be to focus academically until graduation comes and high school begins. That is the borderline of taking your school work seriously. Getting into a great high school is very beneficial into a successful career.
Without a doubt my biggest fear is working extremely hard for something I don’t really want. So the utmost important goal in my mind is the goal to achieve greatness and fulfillment through enjoying my life. High school has been the part of my life that has shaped me the most so far. It’s the time I became more self aware with what I care about and that what makes me different allows me to thrive. Especially through the last two years of my high school experience I have found things that have given me stronger drive and dedication. Although multiple things have added to this success the overall outcome is something I will forever greatly appreciate.
Of course as a high school student I’m bound to have life centered goals. As a short term goal I plan to graduate high school, which I will accomplish this coming May. Another goal would be getting a summer job to help my mom start paying my university’s tuition. I know that a summer job will not secure a lot of money, but every little penny counts when you’re persistent on having an intellectual life and career. A long term goal that I have is to enjoy my years as a college student worry free at Houston Baptist University. Obviously that’s not going to happen, but I would much rather have the worries of passing my classes and finals, rather than worrying about me being able to afford the education that I will receive. My other goal is to intern or acquire a job at a hospital or rehabilitation center while I’m in the process of earning my degree in either physical therapy or athletic training.
