Introduction
My personal values act as a basis for determining right and wrong in my daily life. My life, my parents, my husband and my children have all played valuable roles in the development of my core values. The following is an ever changing personal ethics creed, that I plan on using to help guide me in my endeavors.

I watched my mother deal with an abusive husband, while protecting me from his violent ways. She maintained a strong supportive mother role in the face of significant hardship. From life experience, I feel that fundamental beliefs come from those experiences, experiences that all of us have. In the Bible, the Book of Matthew says: “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 7:12, English Standard Version). This ethos, to me, extends into every aspect of my life. As I try to live my life, to the best of my abilities, I try to bring this statement into all of my actions. The Golden Rule does not apply only to me, I feel that it should be a governing mantra of mankind. To make the world hospitable, the Golden Rule should be a pillar in all human interaction.
