Philosophy On Education: My Beliefs
Students are the key to our future. In order for them to make sound decisions in life they must be able to understand the consequences for the choices they make. My goal as a teacher will be to make sure they receive the knowledge to make those decisions. I want to be a teacher so that I can mold students to be intelligent, productive citizens in our society. I want to be a role model, someone children can look up to and emulate. I believe I am worthy and capable of being a teacher because I am intelligent, compassionate, and of high moral character. I believe I can encourage students to become the best person they can be. To achieve these goals, there are factors I need to consider, such as:

I would like to have a small library to strengthen students’ ability to read and to use for group reading sessions. New concepts will be introduced using hands on experience by the students. They will be encouraged to ask questions, explore on their own, and talk with each other about various subjects and projects.
Teaching technique is also an important factor to maximize students’ learning ability. I will be the boss in my classroom; I will have the final say. There will be specific rules and guidelines for students to follow. There will be order and students that disrupt the class will be punished. Most punishments will be handled in the classroom and will include taking privileges away or assigning oral reports. I do not want to be intimidating, but I do want respect. In return for order and respect I will give my students respect and confidence. I will use any technique possible to encourage them to learn. I will urge students to recommend ways to teach lessons. I want them to play an active role in the decision making process. I believe this will help them identify and understand new material more readily. Through this inclusive interactive relationship, students will feel like they are contributing to their learning experience. I want them to be at ease with myself and their peers. I believe if students are relaxed in the classroom, distractions such as, what they are wearing or how they fit into
I will establish an authoritarian classroom to make sure the students behave. I will not be a strict teacher, but I will have to stand up enough to be in control of them. I will keep the classroom organized the particular way I described earlier unless the need to rearrange the room occurs. To help keep up students’ motivation I will try a variety of teaching methods and supplements to keep things interesting. I will try my best to keep a constant good attitude and not take out my personal frustrations on my pupils.
I want to know my students. This way I can tailor my teaching methods to the specific needs of my students and class. This is also helpful in resolving discipline problems, which I anticipate to be few and far between. I will do everything in my power to resolve problems within my classroom, using the principal’s office and the administration as a last resort. Students respect a teacher who respects them in return. This approach allows a teacher to get to the heart of a student’s problems without involving outside forces that may alienate the child.
Education is a very important aspect of our lives. It is our education that makes us who we are and determines what we become. Therefore, education is not something to be taken lightly. As a teacher, my goal will be to provide the best possible education for my students. Every student is unique. I must see students for who they are individually and respect their ideas and opinions. Each student has a different learning style. I must take this into consideration because I want to provide a constructive learning opportunity for every student. I believe that every student has the potential to learn.
For many individuals, choosing a career is one of the hardest decisions to be faced with. The majority of students in college spend their first year stressing about what they are going to do with the rest of their life. I, fortunately, have known since I was in middle school that I wanted to be an elementary school teacher. As a future teacher I feel that essentialism and progressivism are going to be my unique philosophies of education.
Education entails individual human development in the cognitive, emotional, creative and social areas. All children are entitled to a free education regardless of race, cultural background or handicaps. For education to be an effective part of the students life, the student and teacher must be actively and enthusiastically involved in learning. A teacher needs to be well prepared and organized. They need to know the perspective goals for each student and ways to achieve these goals. Teachers need to work with students to help them grow and develop ways to use their knowledge.

The theoretical perspectives of Linda Albert, Lee and Marlene Canter, and Rudolph Dreikurs clarify my perspective on classroom management. These theorist's theories can be classified as teacher-centered, and they focus on how to deal with students' misbehavior. I think it is extremely important to know how to manage a student's misbehavior, so that we can have a pleasing learning environment.
I have always leaned toward the profession of education. I feel that a career in education has much to offer, both personally and professionally. The idea of any other career has never been a question; as a child, and now as an adult, I have always known that my interest lay in teaching.
My philosophy of education has evolved from working with students and different educational programs. In order to have a philosophy on education, the term education should be defined. Education is a process that involves reasoning and synthesizing new concepts and information. Education does not take place in confined boundaries. Education should be a continual growth process. For the purposes of this essay, the primary focus will be on my philosophy of education within the framework of the school systems.
My personal philosophy of education encompasses the rights and responsibilities of the student, the parents, the teacher and the community. Each of these entities are directly responsible for the successful education of the student.
My Philosophy on Education encompasses many areas but the result is an approach that I feel will educate every child in the best possible way. I am specializing in Early Childhood, because of this I feel that my philosophy is based on what is best for the child through the age of eight. My Philosophy is a mixture of the Progressivism approach and the Constructivists approach. These beliefs not only focus on one aspect of the classroom but rather on the classroom as a whole.
As a teacher, I hope to accomplish many different things. I would like to develop a good rapport with my students. Helping them as much as possible before school, with math assignments or listening to their problems, and after, by starting a math tutor program or chaperoning a school dance. I want all the students I have in class to achieve some success to help build self-esteem and confidence. I know that seeing an “A” on my assignments or tests makes me feel good. I also want my students to retain most of what they have been taught. I would feel disappointed if students failed to remember what I had tried to teach them. Finally, I would someday like to be recognized as an excellent teacher. I feel that I will be able to do a good
I will establish a non-authoritarian classroom. I believe that the students learn more efficiently if they participate hands-on in their education. I think that students get "burned out" on education when a teacher stands in the front of the room and lectures for long periods of time. My classroom will be very organized. I will plan plenty of work for the students to prevent periods of time when they have nothing to do. I will set forth classroom management strategies such as rules, housekeeping, grading policies, and homework policies on the first day of class and I will review these components often. I will motivate the students by rewarding them for good grades, good manners, and classroom participation. I will enforce the aspects of classroom management throughout the school year. I will discipline the children according to the severity of discipline problems and school policies. My teaching style is to make education interesting and intriguing to students. I will use the newest possible teaching techniques and try my best to make each student excited about school and
The methods of teaching are important. I would be sure to treat each student equally. It is only right to treat every student fairly. Never would I harm a student. Nor would I yell at one. Rousseau was against it as well. Although I would be teaching many students, I would not put too much on them. My main objective in the classroom is to entertain while I
Education is the process of learning that can take place anywhere and at any time. I believe that creativity and activity as well as books and lessons are essential to the learning process. As a teacher, I hope to instill in the children a sense of knowledge and self-worth that will remain with them throughout their lives.
