My political views have been influences in different ways as I’ve grown up. I believe what has influenced me today is school and my surroundings.
To elaborate, school influences me based on the criteria that I learn. For example whether it be in government class or my education class I was able to learn more about the laws. The knowledge that I gained help form an opinions on the laws that concern education. I am able to give my input on whether these laws are actually benefitting our education system. Also taking government we learn the roles and importance of government and its leaders allowing me to understand politics better.
My surroundings influences me based on what I hear, see and the effect it leads to. My view against Trumps immigration
I think what has also contributed to my political views is that I have a stay at home dad, doctor mom, and Sudanese family members.
Then my junior year of high school is when my beliefs and opinions started to take shape. I became extremely fascinated with politics and landed my first internship with republican State Senator Guy Reschenthaler. I have realized that younger generations follow in the footsteps of their parents in political views but I was different, my parents are both democrats and I am a republican.
Today, I look back to everything that has happened and how did I come to the thoughts and opinions I have about politics. Family was a primary influence in the development of my political orientation, mainly due to constant relationship between my parents and I. Schools became a source to enforce what I been hearing at home. Then Mass Media took over and tried to paint a picture of functions as a political information-giver to adolescents and young children. With placing political figures in everyday life and association with political parties, I can only imagine what their goal was. The earliest
Education heavily influences one’s view on the world because education teaches how we write, what we write, what is right and wrong, what to evade, what to glide towards, etc. Education changes our views on these things and much more, one story of how education changes your views on the world is the story “Everyday use” by Alice Walker. In this story, the two children Dee and Maggie are much different because Dee left the house for six years to go to the big city and get educated. The education helped her get enough money for a car to get to her old home along with gold earrings, bracelets, and a dress that
A person’s ideology is influenced by their socialisation, mine was heavily influenced by my family.
My understanding of politics and government prior to taking American Government came from my family and their beliefs. It was influenced by the schools I attended, which influenced my respect for this country, and my respect for our flag. They ingrained a sense of patriotism with their teachings. Television and newspapers had a big influence on me in my younger
Just like normal people, I have many lenses that I see through every day. Some of these lenses are the fact that I am a politically conservative, white, male, who is not religious. This has caused me to see the world has a more kind, opportunistic place, than someone who is of another race, who maybe has faced some discrimination in their life. Being conservative causes me to take priority to certain issues than a liberal person normally would. For instance, I feel that defense of yourself and the country is a much bigger deal than a liberal who feels the military is over funded.
Identify and discuss some of the political forces that affect the agency for which you worked and explain how these forces influence the jobs of public and/or criminal justice administrators within that agency. (If you interned at a state, county or city agency, did the current political climate in CA affect the agency? Were there budget restraints? Did you notice if employees were doing more with less? Explain. If you interned at a federal agency, did the election have any effect on the agency? Explain.)
A lot of things have played a role in my personal political socialization. Political ideology is the places where you have informed your beliefs from. The first example of where I get my personal political socialization is from my family. Second I have influence from my location in the U.S.A. Finally I get influence from Narragansett High School which is the school I currently attend. That is where I received my personal political socialization from.
Throughout my life, my beliefs, values, and opinions have been shaped by both my life experiences and those close to me. 18 years is a long period of time, I’ve watched many commercials, watching the presidential campaigns change over the years. Nowadays, it’s become more vibrant for me and I’ve become more interested in the debates they have. My parents, friends, teachers, and the media are just a few things that have impacted me and the decision I took in becoming who I am.
My parents were oblivious when it came to politics so they never passed their views on to me. My father grew up in the back woods of Louisiana and did not have the accessories of TV and internet. My mother grew up here in Houston in a very poor area so her parents never focused on politics. I learned most of what I know now from social networks and school. Although school taught me a great deal on politics I never took it seriously because of social media.
A population’s views on political issues may change as different circumstances occur each day. The environment around us has a powerful influence on the decisions that we produce and the views that we as American citizens choose to hold. After a semester in political science class my views and my political ideology have altered. Today I will explain how political science class has influenced my political ideology.
In my life I have never had any political enforcement or strict religious influence. My parents were very lenient when it came too political preaching. I was taught to be a caring and respectful individual. My political understanding and beliefs have been molded from my early political memories and socialization experiences. As a young adult I have always strived to become knowledgeable about political ideals mainly because I was never really taught to believe in something specific. I eventually was drawn towards many different social and political perspectives, which is how I came to a logical conclusion of how I view the world politically
I think that my behavior is usually influenced by specific values. I feel that I often times have other people in mind when I am behaving a certain way of choosing to do a specific thing. For instance I spend most of my free time doing homework because of my commitment to school and because of how much I value education and because I realize how much society values education. One of the main reasons I am choosing to go to grad school is because I want to be able to support my family and my children when I graduate and I know I will have a better chance of doing that with a masters or a doctorate degree. Therefore I am behaving out of love and obligation to my future family. This could be considered an example of social change, which is a “fundamental
School, to me and among many peers of my age, is not a distant term. I have spent one-third of my life time sitting in classrooms, every week since I was seven years old. After spending this much time in school, many things and experiences that happened there have left their mark in my memory. Some are small incidences while some have had a great impact on me. However, regardless the degree of significance, things that happened all contributed to shape the person that I am now.
