Matthew 24:29-35 “MY PREDICTION OF WHEN JESUS WILL RETURN...”
It doesn’t take much looking to discover that Wikipedia has an article dealing with 44 past predictions of when Jesus would come back and 6 future predictions. Obviously no one has predicted the right date yet. There is another website that lists 242 predicted dates for the end of the world. This is most intriguing in light of the fact that in Matthew 24:36 Jesus says: "“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only." (Matthew 24:36, ESV)
In the verses we’re going to look at today, Jesus describes His coming. He is still answering the disciples questions asked in Matthew 24:3 "As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to

him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”" (Matthew 24:3, ESV) The setting is the Mount of Olives. The lessons are called the Olivet Discourse. The longest answer Jesus gave to any line of questioning.
The first part of their question: “When will these things be?” relates to the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple and is graphically described in verses 15-28. The second part of their question relates to knowing the sign of Christ’s coming and that comes in verses 29-35. And regarding the question of the end of the age, the disciples are told they cannot…
