My personal goal as many of other students is to complete my BSN and after to advance my education in Leadership and Management. My professional goal is to improve my knowledge and critical thinking as an employee of the health care, and learn more management and leadership skills that I can use in my current position. Christian Camaraderie will help me in archiving my goals with the support provided the Academic personnel and with the support of other students that became brother and sister in Christ. This is one of the areas that makes difference in this school because is based in the faith of our Christ the Lord and emphasis the trust, friendship and love. As online student, I am not able to participate on any extracurricular activities,
In high school, I never imagined attending the nation's number one public research institution. It was something that no one from my community had done, and the lack of representation from others in my community seemed to disencourage me from even applying. It was not until my senior year of high school that I began applying to colleges, when my older sister encouraged me to apply to the University of Michigan. She saw potential in the things that I could accomplish, but even her encouragement lacked to make me understand how I could be admitted into this predominately white institution. However, I applied early action and was ecstatic when I was accepted.
For my educational plans, I have a clear understanding and vision of where I want to go and who I have the desire to be. For now, I would like to graduate with my Associates in Arts degree in Nursing from Indian River State College. I believe Indian River State is an excellent place to begin my journey and recieve my education in order to better prepair myself for what is yet to come. After I recieve my Associates degree from Indian River, I plan to transfer to the University of South Florida in order to extend my education and potentially recieve my Bachelors and Masters of Science degree in Nursing.
An experience in a biomedical research will help me to succeed in my long-term educational goals. My long-term goal is to attend a MD-PHD program at a Medical School. As a scientist, I would like to study the genetics of disease causing organisms and human genetics. Currently, I am studying Biochemistry at the University of Maryland, which I think will equip me with a knowledge of human biochemistry. However, since undergraduate schools mainly focus on theoretical not the practical application of most subjects, I need to participate in a hands on research project over the summer because It will give me an opportunity to apply my knowledge in a laboratory. This is when the summer research program at the University of Maryland school of medicine
Going to college has been a dream of mine growing up. I am the first ever in my family to go to college but figuring out how to pay for it has been a challenge. I desire to achieve my academic and career goals and this scholarship can help me succeed in my journey.
The professional goal that I have set for myself to achieve is to be the Head of Sports Medicine in college, which is similar to an administrative job. My primary purpose after years of studying in a major university is to become an athletic trainer at a Community College, where I will have both the option to teach and also to be an assistant Athletic Director. I had graduated from a Community College in New Jersey. Athletic training staff have a lot of influence and help every athlete to transfer and continue their education and their sport if the athlete wishes to do so. The head athletic trainer, Lisa, had helped every student-athlete achieve their goal to continue playing or go to college for an excellent education program. My professional
My mother battled mental illness during her life. Unfortunately she lost her battle in September 2013. Since her surprising death I have soul-searched and researched ways to help others like my mother. That introspection has brought me to your program, Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling.
My academic goal is to graduate Argosy University with a bachelors degree in Forensic Psychology in three years time. Forensic Psychology is the study of the criminal mind, in a nutshell. The main motivation to achieve this goal would be intrinsic. I love asking questions and knowing the answers as to why people do what they do, and in a criminals case, what led them to committing the crime. This goal, however, may have some extrinsic motivation as well. Being knowledgeable about certain behaviors that criminals poses may help solve or even prevent a crime. In addition, having a degree will help open different paths in life, ones that may present me with greater job opportunities. My attitude toward the learning process will help my achievement of each goal because I am eager, determined and motivated. My greatest desire is to succeed in life, and obtaining an education is one thing I know will help me. I perhaps will need to make some adjustments along my journey. I do not know yet if I will find another educational path that intrigues me the most. For now, I do not feel that any adjustments need to be made.
I am intrested in gaining my Masters (MS) in Psychology to extend my knowledge within this field and make an impact in society. Graduate school will llow me to understand the human mind and how they all function individually. I aim to teach Psychology and become a Academic advisor at a collegiate level. While choosing a path during my undergraduate studies, I knew that anything I decided to do would make a impact in society and that has become my passion. While taking a few Psychology classes during my undergraduate studies, I was very intrigued with my class Social Psychology as it seemed to involve both Sociology being my major and Psychology. I m intrested in helping the community
Professional Goals: I still have a little time left to figure out what grade it is that I want to teach. I’m honestly lost in this because I most enjoy working with college level student, but I absolutely love elementary level children as well. Over the past few years, I have worked here at Lone Star College under a few different titles. I was offered a job while taking a 1302 English class. The next semester, I began to work in developmental classes. I have supported several different English class along with some Educt classes as well. It has been my job to tailor the information that the professor has covered to meet the needs of my students, and I’ve become quite good at this. I am currently a Level III Master English tutor, and the Peer
I have chosen to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Management from Franklin University. I decided on this degree as I have spent the past seventeen years creating a career in the I.T industry, for one of the largest financial institutions in the world, and feel that this would present me with more opportunities for growth. I believe I have the technology knowledge and experience now, and I want to show that I have the leadership and management skills that will take me to the next level. This will also, hopefully, lead to promotions and more influence within my department, as well as the financial benefits that accompany them. My wife returned to school as an adult learner when she was 26 and obtained her
My immediate education goal is to graduate with at least a 3.75 GPA while maintaining some, if not most of my current campus activities. I used to think that I had to get 100% on every single assignment just to be good enough, and that had slowed me down quite a bit. Since I realized that a 90%, in most cases, is just the same as a 100%, I have been able to save a lot of time working on my school work, yet still get outstanding results. I have been continuously working on my problem solving as well as time management skills, to make sure that I will not waste both my and the company time in the future. I have also been taking many safety courses provided through SAChE (Safety and Chemical Engineering Education) to set myself apart from others.
Both my personal and professional goals animate me and motivate me to pursue and finish my degree. The personal and professional are fundamentally interconnected. Personally I aim to live a life filled with a sense of meaning, and growth. These terms are purposefully broad in nature so that I have space to specify how they manifest themselves in a variety of ways. These broad personal aims become more tangible, and are matched, through more exact professional goals. Currently, I am working with a start-up charter school project serving the needs of high-school dropouts. This aligns with my sense of meaning because service to others, particularly through education, is valuable to me. Within the next five years I would like to found my own social entrepreneurship project. I do not see a world in which accomplishing this, and my broader aims, is
1) My professional and personal goals are to utilize my analytical mind to be an asset to a company that appreciates my ability
Choosing a career in medicine is my first career choice, and in many ways it is the only career choice I want. From professional athletes that we see on television, to the educators that have taught me and many others through the years, they all have committed themselves to extensive study. They have practiced countless of hours to master their individual skill set for their profession. I see myself following in the same footsteps, but as a pediatrician. I want to also master the skills that it takes to be a great doctor. It may not be simple and the outcome may not be near, but with extensive studying and practice I want to achieve and master the set of skills of pediatric diagnosis and eventually improve the medical process. This is my
