My Profession Psychiatrists are physicians who treat mental disorders. Psychiatrists use a combination of medicine and counseling to treat mental disorders. While they primarily focus on mental disorders, they are also qualified to diagnose mental and physical facets of the psychological disorder. There are many different branches of psychiatrists including Addiction Psychiatrists, Adult Psychiatrists, Pediatric Psychiatrists, and Geriatric Psychiatrists. These are specialized psychiatrist, who have to attend more schooling to become specialized. There are also General Psychiatrist, who don’t specialize in anything. Three types of grants are PELL grants, TPEG grants, and the TEXAS grant. Three types of loans are: Direct subsidized, direct unsubsidized loans, Texas B- On Time Loans. Two types of scholarships are: The Regent’s scholarships and the President’s Endowed Scholarships. The average amount a student gets isv $9,267. The courses I needed to take for my first year of college would be, in addition of the bare requirements would be a lot of biology classes, since I am getting a bachelor’s degree in biology. TAMU does quite a bit for their students upon graduation. 59 percent of them enter the workforce, with 8.7 percent having professional jobs. TAMU also has a career center, with workshops to help students be prepared. Since my profession requires a medical school, I chose TAMU medical school, which costs around $20,000 a year and is located in Bryan, Texas. The information is quite similar to TAMU, so I will keep this part brief. The acceptance rate is just around fifty percent, while less than before, is still relatively high. Other than that, the information is the same, with the exception of that the facilities are smaller and have less students. TAMU is also relatively inexpensive and has a career center for its graduates. I see myself at this job in fifteen years 1q The only thing I am worried about is the high-stress level of the job. Everything about this job is very precise, and messing up could have severe consequences. The high-stress level could potentially lead to unhappiness and high anxiety levels. I already am an anxious person, so magnifying anxiety would not be a good idea. The thing that excites me the most about my job is helping people. Helping people would give me satisfaction in life.
