Thesis: Although Chinese Cuisine may have some roots from China, it has become Americanized thorough out the years. INTRODUCTION Attention getter: Did you know the number of Chinese restaurants in the United States out number McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, and Wendy’s combined according to Clarissa Wei’s article “An illustrated history of Americanized Chinese food”. Have you ever wondered how authentic your Chinese food actually is? Although Chinese Cuisine may have some roots from China, it has become Americanized thorough out the years. Relevance to the audience: Every Neighborhood in New York for the most part has a Chinese restaurant of some kind. Chinese takeout is easy and affordable, especially for us as new Yorkers and college students who are constantly on the go. Credibility: I always had an interest in Chinese Cuisine especially since I went to high school in Flushing Queens, which is an area known for having a very large Chinese Population.
