What's mine is yours. Having lived a year in a student hostel I understood this phrase was the best to describe my first year student life. We shared everything: all of bright spots, all of difficult moments, all of the books and all of the cakes. My roommates are my best friends now and I trust them as I would myself. I believe amazing adventures and close friendship are waiting for us too! Also I believe, my dear roommate, you’ll get at least one new hobby living with me. I promise I’ll share to you with my frenzy for mountains. Oh, that’s really amazing! I’m a participant of the university tourist all around team(sports tourism university team member) and every weekend we get to go to incredibly picturesque places of Zailiyskiy Alatau.
My transcripts aren’t the best, I’ll admit, but they are not the worst either. I noticed that I had ‘lazy’ grades. I passed most of my classes, but the ones I failed were because of after school or home projects.
I wanted to improve my writing skills, make my writing pieces stronger, learn how to keep readers engaged in my writing pieces, and work on my MLA formatting coming into the class. When I took English 113, I discovered that MLA formatting was something that I needed to work on. There were certain elements of MLA formatting that I would forget to incorporate into my papers such as putting my last name in the right hand corner of my paper, not double spacing my header, and remembering to not underline nor bold the title of my papers.
There is no other place that would make me work this hard at everything I do, but now I know I could do it. Before being an MEHS student, I relied in only my grades, but getting those good grades with such simplicity was bringing me nowhere. After hearing about Mt. Edgecumbe I was scared that I could not make it up there. After two years of being a student there, I understand that succeeding at Mt. Edgecumbe is no simple task, but it could be done by someone who truly give it everything they have. Although this would be one of he most streaneus accomplishments I had ever achieved, I know I that I could do it if given the
When assigned my first essay, “My Greatest Accomplishment,” I took time to brainstorm different ideas that defined me. The accomplishment that stood out the most to me was qualifying for State Track in four events on a sprained ankle. While writing this essay, I felt like a baby learning how to walk. My writing was unsteady and I took a few tumbles trying to get the paragraphs to flow. This reminded me of trying to run on my sprained ankle at the State-qualifying meet. However, like I finished the paper, I finished my events with qualifying times. I knew the essay would prove difficult, but I grew hopeful while writing because I knew I had numerous
There is a trend in my transcript however it’s good. My freshman year I played football, and had to keep my grades up; although, I failed my honors English class with a D I had to make it up my sophomore
“The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand”. This inspiring quote said by legendary football coach, Vince Lombardi, describes the characteristics in order to be successful. Like football, to be a successful Honors student at Hillsborough High School, students must possess the will to succeed above normal expectations. This drive to succeed, inspires diligent, dedicated, driven Honors students. I, like many other successful Honors students, am hardworking, determined, and intelligent.
This class has been a stepping stone to my accomplishments as a writer. Over the course of semester, I have been challenged to tackle several different writing styles and succeed in each one in a unique way. It is through the rhetoric, technology, research, and collaboration used in this class that has progressed me as a writer and an individual.
This paper is a reflective analysis of my personal and professional development of my knowledge, skills, attitudes, showing how one aspect of my training has developed over year two of my nursing degree. It shall focus on communication, by using the nursing handover as an example.
The most appreciated accomplishments in life; come from struggle. As a teenager, I failed to complete college. My failure was not a lack of intellect; rather it was a lack of discipline and commitment. A decade and a half later, I have grown to appreciate the value of putting in effort. Southern New Hampshire University’s English Composition course is my first attempt at redemptive accomplishment.
High School Transcripts reflect on the individual's academic effort not who they are or they represent. The transcripts show the struggles and strengths throughout each subject or even as a whole. As i reflect on my transcripts i come to realize my strengths through each subject and my capabilities. On my transcripts i can see my academic victories through these four years at Valley High School. My biggest achievement shown on my transcript is keeping a weighted GPA of 3.5. I have also been capable of maintaining A’s and B’s which is something i am proud of.
My personal accomplishment has taught me a lot about myself and who I am as a person. It taught me how much strength I actually have within myself that I never in a million years thought I had. It was hundred times more difficult that I thought it was going to be going into it. This challenge that I feel that has been an important demonstration of a personal accomplishment is when I attended a student trooper program a couple of years ago.
During this year in writing workshop I really feel that I grew as a writer and I think that this is shown in the progression of my pieces. I feel that I started off strong and finished even better and I hope that you can also see my progression.
Our team practice everyday for 2 hours and our record was 23-1. We were the first team ever to win in our age division to ever win for St.Mary’s. We had a hard time in the beginning of the season. One of our best players injured her knee. She was running towards the loose ball and her knee twisted. She was out for the rest of the season. Looking back on it made me better because I learned how hard you to to practice or try to achieve your goal.
Within Sports Coaching Literature, it has been established that reflection is a generic term for intellectual and effective activities, in which individuals examine their experiences, in order to develop new understanding and intrapersonal appreciation (Knowles, et al., 2006). Research in this field has advocated reflective practice as an approach to professional development which positively impacts coaching effectiveness (Cropley, et al., 2012). This reflective report shall discuss, analyse and evaluate my own personal development throughout my first semester spent studying at UCFB, in order to develop new understanding and intrapersonal appreciation, and help explore my decisions and experiences, increasing understanding of
