With the completion of my second secondary education practical, I have now been welcomed into two different schools and been a part of two different teaching staff. I have got to experience and been witness to many different types of classrooms, teaching strategies and student behaviours in my time at the schools. From watching and talking to the staff members from both institutions about their ideas and strategies that work well for them and their students, along with discussions about theorists in tutorials, I have constructed my own beliefs and ideas around my knowledge today, on how students learn and what the role of the teacher is in the classroom.

Visual Prefer using pictures, images, and spatial understanding.
Aural Prefer using sound and music.
Verbal Prefer using words, both in speech and writing.
Physical Prefer using your body, hands and sense of touch.
Logical Prefer using logic, reasoning and systems.
Social Prefer to learn in groups or with other people.
Solitary Prefer to work alone and use self-study.
Even with my small groups of students I have taught on practicals, there has always been a range of student abilities within the groups. When we discuss a class, we cannot think of the students as all the same, that they learn and interpret information equally. Each learner is an individual and each has their own learning capability.
