My gold is my dad's snow globe from Italy. He gave me this snow globe when I was six, I enjoyed shaking it and watching the snow settle down to the bottom. It was gold to me because first it was from my dad and second it´s like a model of Italy and since I have never been to Italy it makes it more special. Then one day I was shaking it and it fell out of my hands and shattered into small glass pieces. I cried my heart out and this was when my dad was in Europe so he couldn't buy me another snow globe. Sentence number 3 and 4 match this situation, “Her early leafs a flower but only so an hour”. This to me means that something that makes you happy will at one point break or be lost. When I broke my snow globe there was still the model that use
I was on my wonderful trip at disney world enjoying some time at the rock ‘n’ roller coaster. When i had a great idea to go to the it's a small world ride because it was indoor and it was really cold out here since it was the winter. I started and the dolls were singing,as I continued down the water. Then I saw a rat, but since I was in disney world and their mascot is a mouse, I thought I would say “Meeska mooska Mickey Mouse!” Since that's what they said say in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Then, all of a sudden the floor dropped beneath me and I fell in a room of dolls.
“Nothing Gold Can Stay” by Robert Frost is a poem filled with imagery about nature. He makes us see and even feel the beginning of a new spring day with his very first line “Nature’s first green is gold.” The golden hues that are cast in the mornings light on the trees and filter through the leaves, lets us see the beauty and calmness that is the serenity and purity of the sunrise. This glorious golden hue does not last very long, as shown by the line, “Her hardest hue to hold.” He is showing us that as the sun continues to rise, the light becomes harsher in its brightness and the subtlety of colors become fleeting in their beauty.
Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So eden sank to grief. So dawn goes down today, nothing gold can stay.” is a quote from Ponyboy that he says because he enjoys poetry.
The Blizzard of 1978 was a disaster because it caused so many issues for more than 3 states. Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Southwest Wisconsin were all affected by the high winds of 100 miles per hour and 40-60 inches of snow. Also, some homes’ roofs were torn apart and fell in the home. This killed more than 400 people, buried in 27 feet of snow or more. Weather stations had to readjust their weather chart due to pressures falling below the chart scale. This nearly caused a hurricane to happen. Other regions only saw over a foot of snow from the storm.
Similar to “After Apple-Picking’s” metaphor’s symbolism of death and inability to finish all one’s goals due to the constraints of time, “Nothing Gold Can Stay” (1923) discusses the impermanence of nature. The title itself, “Nothing Gold Can Stay,” echoes a deeper meaning. According to Deirdre Fagan, Assistant Professor for the Department of Languages and Literature at Ferris State University, in Nothing Gold Can Stay, “gold represents what is most prized, spring’s first green and first flower. But all beauty is brief.” Although spring is beautiful, it gives way to time and changes into fall. In the poem, the metaphor is anything good or beautiful must inevitably end, or “nothing gold can stay.” The poem begins with the stanza, “nature’s first
If I was trapped in a snow globe I would play in the snow. I would try to make the best of it. Then, I would try to figure out how to get out. I would bang on the glass. Maybe if I scream the glass would break. No, that wouldn't work I can't scream loud enough. But, if I dig alot I might find a way. Seven hours later……. There is no use. I’m kinda getting hungry and I don't see any food. As I’m trying to get out I see this huge person picks up the globe and starts shaking. I hold onto the tree for dear life while he is shaking the globe. Finally he puts it down. That's the story of when I got stuck in a snow
"Her early leaf's a flower, but only so an hour, then leaf subsides to leaf, and Eden sank to grief, so dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold
I will tell you about THE SNOW GLOBE.It all started when my friends Nitro,James,Ethan, and Break dance Bob and I were going to Snow Globe Universe [No joke]. When we went in they did warn us that some were a default and could suck you in or explode. We thought that they were just kidding until we were looking at one and touched it and we were sucked in! We were in it was England. But worst of all there was a break dance place and Break dance Bob ran off to it. When we finally found him it was 5:00 PM and that meant we were in here for 3 hours!

Robert Frost utilizes many different figurative devices, imagery and allusions in his poem, “Nothing Gold Can Stay” to reveal to the audience that every beautiful thing will come to an end, and any pure or permanent thing will eventually appear false or temporary. These ideas combined with metaphors and alliterations dramatizes the truth of the title, even though it sounds ironic in itself. His allusion and use of different images, depicted in the minds of the reader, further completes his idea on the topic of gold. The poem opens by talking about the beautiful colors of spring, establishing that nature is gold before it is green. Leaves start as flowers, but they do not stay forever. This natural process is related to the fall of the Garden
It tells how all the things eventually were not gold anymore. Even though, the title of this poem is Nothing Gold Can Stay, it basically explains the whole poem about how nothing will remain perfect. It is pretty straight forward and does not imply mulitiple possibilities.
