"Hedy. Hedy? Hedy!" My director said as he tried to gain my attention. I was shooting my one hundredth movie today and I was very bored. "Yes John?" I asked "I need you hear under the moonlight," He said I can 't do this right now, my head was throbbing. "Sorry, I can 't I need to go home. My kids are waiting and I don 't very well," I said with hope he would say that I could go home. After all I am here all day every day. "Okay that is fine. Be here early tomorrow so we can get a head start," He said with ignorance. I left with it being completely silent. It was pouring outside. The rain was pounding on the roof as if it was trying to get in the building. My head was racing about this one idea I have that will probably never work. …show more content…
I 've never told anyone before about this. "Why would you want that? Most people would love a title like yours. Stick with it," he said with a tone in his voice "When you get out would you mind signing an autograph?" He asked with a smirk. "I usually would but I don 't do good to those like you," I replied with a bigger smirk. "Ouch!" I heard my son say. "What was that?" I said. "Nothing, I want to go out tonight I 'll see you at eleven thirty," my daughter said. "Wait! I just got here," I said "Why are you home so early?" My son questioned. "I thought of a great idea for an invention today!" I said. "Ugh, Mom it 's never going to work. Stop trying please," my daughter rudely said. "Just leave please," I said hurt. I went down to the basement and started working on my invention it took all night but the next morning I think I did something great. I was planning on going to the navy today to present it. "Excuse me how can I help you?" The navy chief 's secretary asked me. "Um.. Can I talk to the head chief please?" I asked. "Of course, and aren 't you Hedy Lamar? Are you back with another invention? You don 't seem the intelligent type. I would stop making things so you don 't embarrass yourself. Focus on your career, " She asked. I was taken back. "Why yes I am! Thanks for the advice now where can I find him?" I asked annoyed. My eyes started to tear up so I went to the bathroom and got fixed up. I walked into his office
“Honestly, I'm not sure anymore. I don’t think I can do it any longer,” I murmured
“That sounds like so much fun, but I work until closing again tomorrow night. Maybe we can just go do something next-” before Cinderella even got the chance to finish her sentence, Archie interrupted.
“Remember we were looking for something pretty for me to work on. I came up with another idea.”
Mike glanced at me again with a warm smile. "The best of luck to you."
"Ohhh, you should tell me about it later, when you look presentable." She insulted. Damn her. I gave a tired nod before turning my attention to Mr. Harland who was about to begin speaking.
“Oh just a few friends of mine” he replied with a hint of a smirk on his face.
"Who knows how long this is going to take. I'd rather come inside than sit here." He shrugged walking with me to my front door. I pushed open my door to find a note hung on the other side.
She rubbed his hand. “I guess it was a bit unfair. But I just wanted to beat you at something.”
I scoffed quietly. "If I didn't, I wouldn't be working as a teacher, now would I?"
“What do you mean?” He asked, his eyebrows furrowing and you had to fight the slight smile that came to your lips at the adorable sight.
“School has been ok,” was all I could offer to the man who had left my life when I was just a small child. After that the kitchen was quiet until my mother came back
“All right, sounds good,” I said, a smile crossing my face. After closing the drawer, I faced him. “Can I ask you something?”
“Of course! What was I thinking? You of all people wouldn't do something so foolish.”
"My class meets in here at 11:30," I continued. "I showed up early on accident."
"That's why I'm heading home now," I stated. "I'm going to go drop you off at home and head back home for the day."
