SOULCYCLE COVERLETTER
Why I love Fitness?
Fitness is a adventure with highs and lows just like mountains and peaks and valleys. There are setbacks, aches, pains, bruising and darkness. The one thing that outshines these real things and the most rewarding of all is the spiritual journey. I love fitness because it gives back so much and it seems the more effort you put in the greater the rewards. There is also a camaraderie between those who partake in the fitness journey that is quietly peaceful and safe. I can find solitude in training and I can also gain support in training with groups. I also love that I have found the "Fountain of Youth" in training with weights. I am an avid cyclist, personal trainer, and Spin instructor and trust

I also saw @soulcycle was tagged and I thought Wow! My dream girl is giving a shout out to some dude for teaching some class!? Me being so inquisitive as to what class I googled Soulcycle and learned that @mantazvinas was a Soulcycle instructor. I delved deeper into research and stumbled on a YouTube video with Live with Regis and Kelly and I got my first look inside the doors of a class. My first initial response was wow they are weight training on the bike and dynamically stretching pretty cool great music good group interactions. I then found what I believe as to why I want to be a SoulCycle instructor when I viewed the "A Fireside Chat with Co-Founders Elizabeth Cutler and Julie Rice". I immediately found the SoulCycle website and looked at the instructor criteria. I am a big "brand" guy and I believe the Co-Founders have a splendid vision when it comes to the grand vision of an hour long Spin class. I mean this is a business model I'd love to be affiliated with and I would die for an opportunity to grow in this type of job. SoulCycle has a presence in the community and a following in social media and it was raised from the ground up from these two women and I can respect that a lot. That being said most notably I'd like to get with the health benefits that full time instructors
I've always been the odd man out on any sports team who looked forward to conditioning at the end of practice and would hold my plank an extra few seconds until I really felt the pain. I loved pushing myself beyond my expected limits and the satisfaction of leaving the gym knowing I gave my full effort. Although the thought of taking a weight lifting class was extremely intimidating, I acknowledged my deep love for training and bettering myself.
The Spirituality Scavenger Hunt gave me a different, unique perspective of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, my new school. When going to IUPUI I was not surrounded by spirituality like I am here. I never took time to tour my beautiful school, let alone understand the meaning behind it. As my group went around and gave their definition of spirituality, it broadened the way I think about God and why things happen the way they do. The most important take-away from this great experience, is not to judge someone on their beliefs and values. Everyone sees and thinks about things differently, and I really learned a breathtaking lesson from my fellow classmates. I learned new ways of practicing spirituality during our scavenger hunt. I learned that I can practice
When discussing how to guard your heart and stay spiritually fit we must first examine the definition of self-care and a youth ministry setting. Self care means to maintain your health and self being whether through actions or attitudes. Self care in a ministry setting means to keep your faith strong and live righteous to maintain spiritually fit. Doing this will help lessen stress and keep them spiritually fit when put through life's trials.
When I first think of the word spiritual I think of my Christian roots, but as I have grown older the word spirituality has been something I think about quite often. The ways the world connects, whether between people, nature or both and how a person feels connected to the world or a higher being. I believe that spiritually can come in many shapes and forms. One of the ways I feel most spiritually connect is through dance.
I think back to about six months ago when I was sitting at home in Evansville, Indiana. I knew that I was going to be coming to Liberty University for seminary in the spring and it was time to choose the classes that I would be taking. I was working to try to fit everything into my schedule and figure out which classes were offered when. As it turns out, there were only about 4 that I could feasibly and logically fit into my schedule. I had an idea of all of them except one. Discipleship Ministries 520: Spiritual Formation. To be completely honest, the topic was foreign to me. I could deduct off the two words that it was about being formed spiritually but that was about it. I know that I will get into this later
Prior to relocating it was so easy making my daily agenda without consulting God and presuming that it was acceptable. While in the transition of relocating though, the necessity of prioritizing and seeking God on a higher level became imminent. Once that transition period was completed I could see how my past behaviors warranted change. Through the hand of God, more in-filling of the Holy Spirit, understanding of his perspective, wisdom, increased knowledge, and peace facilitated the changes.
My personal general theology is based on the scripture John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” This has always impacted the way that I have talked about God to others. I’ve spoken about God in a manner of love because He loves us enough to give His only begotten son for our salvation. God loves us enough to make our process toward salvation easier by allowing our requirement to merely believe in Him. God loves us enough to allow our souls not to perish, if we believe in Him. God’s love is the foundation of my personal theology. In this project I will cover areas that relate to God’s love for us. The topics
Obviously, a spiritual assistant must be knowledgeable about Franciscan spirituality and have a thorough understanding of the secular Franciscan way of life.
The Bible commands Christians to go out and make disciples; however, this is impossible without first becoming a disciple of Christ. It is important to understand that discipleship should start with the individual and then go out. Christians need to become examples to live by before they can begin the important task of finding, helping, and making disciples. The Bible contains guidance, standards, and examples of being a disciple who makes disciples. A Christian disciple is someone who follows Christ and makes disciples. The goal of discipleship is to become more Christ like, being drawn closer to Him, and going out and making new disciples. Discipleship is a life long journey that refers not only to your own personal relationship with Christ, but also the act of going out and making disciples.
Two of the most controversial facets of the historical Jesus’ ministry are the concepts of his roles as an apocalyptic prophet as well as an exorcist. These two aspects are controversial due to their complex and extreme nature. The assertion that the historical Jesus was an apocalyptic prophet has been highly contested amongst a variety of scholars such as E.P Sanders, Albert Schweitzer, Bart Ehrman and many others. Jesus’ apocalyptic proclamations consisted of the declaration of the arrival of the Kingdom of God, which will spark the cosmic battle between good and evil. In addition, Jesus’ role as an exorcist was a significant aspect of his work. During his ministry over 2000 years ago, Jesus performed exorcisms to heal an individual who has
Traveling not only affords one with a break from everyday life, but with the opportunity to grow intellectually as a person. I am one of the lucky individuals who can say that they have visited every continent excluding Antarctica. Traveling often broadens my perspective of what humanity truly is, and of what responsibilities human beings have to their respective communities. Each travel destination played its respective roll in shaping my spiritual beliefs, and I can honestly say I would not be the person I am today without the experiences I have had in the different corners of the world. Though each destination offers its own adventure, no other place shifted my perception of not only myself, but humanity quite like Egypt.
In order to formulate an appropriate definition and understanding of Christian Spirituality, one must first understand the concept of Spirituality. The term Spirituality is not one that is conventional and unanimously accepted. David B. Perrin, in his book, Studying Christian Spirituality (2007) he describes what “authentic spirituality” is not: the “spiritual life” and “body life” are not detached, and it encompasses all of life’s aspects, for example, the psychological, social and intellectual dimensions, he goes on to say that these dimensions are crucial in understanding spirituality. Perrin also states that some would say that they are “spiritual, but not religious”, therefore it can be said that spirituality is not always associated with
And how compulsory it is to be on time at our various places of worship.
Every Sunday, I attended a church called Greater Mt. Pleasant. My Christian journey symbolized a flawless perspective of the church: it was thrilling and motivating. On Sundays, I dressed up in “Sunday Best”: a solid white shirt, black tie, and black shoes. I walked to church with my Bible in my hand. After the choir sang our welcome song, Pastor Joel D. Taylor preached and motivated his congregation to trust in God. Trusting in God meant that I would believe in him through any circumstance I endure,
Spirituality from a generic personal development perspective can be defined as a person who uses all of their internal resources effectively.
