In the current generation, there is not much to differentiate between a male and a female when it comes to the perspective of responsibility. The aspect of strength and weaknesses is something that cannot be used to state whether an individual is a man or woman. Every individual has his or her set of weaknesses and a set of things he considers his or her strength. Men and women the same, we all struggle to maintain our lives and fight for the future. Life is somehow based on the rule of the jungle where only the individuals with the ability and capability to do what it takes succeeds. The moment that an individual’s weaknesses overcome his strength and the society realizes the same that is the moment an individual’s world is turned around. His or her sense of fight is lost, and he becomes a nobody in the society. However, the modern generation has realized that weaknesses are only weaknesses if you allow them to be. I am at the age of thirty now, already graduated and very ready to pursue my life dreams. In fact, I have started that journey. In the journey, however, I the role that my strengths play in achieving my dreams and the weaknesses that I have that tends to draw me back in life. In this document, I will be discussing myself stressing so much on my strengths and highlighting my weaknesses. I know and understand perfectly well that my destiny is always with me, right into my own hands and it is either I make a decision and pursue it or rely on my weaknesses and let
Upon completion of the StrengthsFinder survey, I discovered that my five greatest strengths were Achiever, Discipline, Responsibility, Relator, and Competition. However, I was skeptical about the initial results until I read what each strength entails. I found most of the information given to be accurate. According to the description of those strengths, I discovered that I use them daily without realizing it.
When I took my strengths test I was not necessarily shocked with what I received, more with what I did not receive. I thought for sure that I would have received positivity because people are always telling me how positive I am. Through learning about my strengths I have come to realize that all five of my strengths together may be the cause of my positive attitude, and all five of my strengths working together constantly are what people see. My strengths are restorative, communication, input, strategic, and achiever.
Self-assessments are usually hard for people to do because most of us don’t know much about ourselves. It is difficult for me to see my strengths because I typically only see my weaknesses. I had to start this assignment with an outline listing three strengths and three weakness to begin writing. In writing this paper I have learned a lot about my qualities that will help and/or hurt me in my college career.
As children, many of us were taught that we could be anything we wanted to be with enough hard work, determination and believing in ourselves. According to Rath (2007), we cannot be anything we want to be, however, we can be a lot more of who we already are. Strengths Finder 2.0 focuses on finding specific talents an individual possesses, so they can then develop them into strengths. Donald O. Clifton created a database containing 34 of the most common talents based on a 40-year study of human strengths. The Clifton StrengthsFinder was created and then evolved into Strengths Finder 2.0. This book focuses on talents because talents are more likely to be consistent through the lifetime; nevertheless, knowledge, skills, and practice also play important roles in personal strengths (Rath, 2007). These talents are then evolved into strengths. After taking the short Strengths Finder 2.0 test my recognized strengths included, in order of highest to lowest, achiever, learner, responsibility, harmony and consistency. This paper will focus on my top three strengths, achiever, learner and responsibility and how these play into my personal life, nursing practice and how finding my strengths can lead to personal growth.
What are your main strengths?Punctuality, adaptability, precision and organisation. These are the strengths I possess, and the qualities that I believe will allow me to excel in this field of work. I understand that being punctual is crucial when working in a warehouse and distribution setting. Arranging deliveries with couriers takes tight time keeping abilities, where forward-planning is key. I would describe myself as having a strong work ethic; I am enthusiastic and dedicated to put in the time and work that is necessary to achieve the task at hand. I also have a lot of motivation to succeed. As an example, during college four students and I were assigned to do a group presentation within a three week deadline. I assigned each of my partners
I have well-developed people skills and excellent relationships, though possessing the Feeling (F) trait, having excellent analytical abilities; though Introverted (I), being the defender of others. Consequently, possessing this particular personality trait could be very beneficial as I will continue my career in the healthcare field. After attending many interviews over this year, I have been asked “What are my strengths” numerous times. After careful consideration, the two characteristics that I feel are my greatest strengths are my passion for teaching, and the fact that I am coachable. According to Benekos (2016), Passion for teaching includes the ability to teach students how to learn and to instill enthusiasm and interest in learning. Since I was a little kid, I have always had a love of numbers. From playing with numbers, to calculating numbers, to talking about numbers, I have always been very fond of numbers. As an adult and mathematics teacher now, I try to instill my students with that same love and enthusiasm that I have for numbers. Everyday that I am in the
Throughout this interview that was conducted with my brother I learned a lot of things about myself that I never knew before, which will certainly help me in the future when I will be applying for work or volunteer positions. According to my brother I have many strengths, skills, qualities, talents and things that I need to work on. During the interview with my brother he said that my strengths were hard working, considerate, easy-going, generous, responsible, patient, passionate, loyal, dependable and determined. I never knew I obtained half of the strengths he mentioned but when he did I was stunned that he thought all of this about me. I also notice that all of these strengths is important when applying to careers or volunteer work because a manager will want to hire someone that is hard working and
The strengths and weaknesses of a committed actor can be paradoxical. For this area I chose to consult with an acting colleague of 17 years. I thought it was necessary to have an objective perspective to honestly describe what has been observed from someone that knows me, personally. The following paragraph from a close friend and veteran actor explains this quandary in her description of me.
My current strengths include; my honesty and passion towards my work. I have always been positive and confident regarding my aims and targets. Along with these, I am a good decision maker, due to which I can make right and quick decisions. Moreover, I have ability to motivate others and do team work. I am also a responsible person, when I make a target; I work day and night to achieve my goal.
One of my strengths is that I am hardworking with everything I do. I want to do well when I attempt something, so I make sure I give my all to everything that I attempt to accomplish. This usually pays off and when it does not, I know I tried my best and that is all the matters to me. I am also very dependable and trustworthy. My manager made a revelation yesterday that I had never called into work within the five years that I have worked there. I have a strong morale code and feel guilty when I miss an obligation; therefore, I try to do it as little as possible.
As a communicator, I acknowledge that I have strengths and weaknesses. I was raised in a small country town and had an ethnocentric view on other cultures. After learning from lectures, I have become aware of this barrier and realised I needed to learn to understand other cultures. Now, I reflect on my behaviours and interactions. I acknowledge biases and plan to improve on difficult situations. I request feedback from my friends, family on my communication. This is now a strength, and has influenced my above average Meta-Cognition score of 5.5.
I feel that I have a fair amount of strengths, however there are a lot of aspects of myself that I would like to work on. One of my biggest strengths would have to be my personality, When discussing personality I try and stay away from work/education related aspects such as work ethic or organization. When I talk about my personality, I’m talking about qualities that make me, me. I am extremely extroverted, there isn’t anyone I won’t approach and start a conversation with. I also see myself as someone who is honest, respectful, caring and empathetic. Besides my personality, some of my strengths include determination and drive, along with being passionate about any task put in front of me, along with the amount of connections and networking I’ve accomplished over the years.
My greatest strength in life is my high moral values and standards. I believe I can make the right decisions that will best benefit my life and the lives around me. Being able to make the right decisions in life will really help me be successful in the work world. I believe having the values also gives me a great outlook on life itself.
