The beginning of this class coincides with the beginning of my assigning graded work to the students in my class. As I began to express the importance of vocabulary to the students in my class, it dawned on me that I must meet the same expectation in my course.
At this point in my college career, I have reached the limit as to what the Miami-Dade Honors College can offer me. So far I have pursued an Associate in Arts degree in Biology and am looking forward to the next step in my education. My experiences here have allowed me to grow heavily both as a student and an individual, but I am limited in the amount of resources currently available to me. For example, I do not have the variety of courses and study abroad opportunities that four-year college students have. Hence, I have taken all the science and math courses towards my associates degree at Miami-Dade College, but I am left to explore other options to continue to advance my preparation for a career in the science field. This is because I have
I am honored to be in ASB this year and enjoy making a difference in the school and being a leader, and I’m looking forward to making a bigger difference next year at the school. I have learned numerous tips on how to be a leader by writing essays and showing what we learned in different committees in ASB and in our larger world. Throughout my year in ASB I learned how to be a better leader, and because of that I used these skills to make the school a better place to be in and a more amusing and exciting place to go to school.
I am honored and appreciated to have been selected to receive the Jim & Phyl Woodhouse Endowed Scholarship, in the amount of $1000. Let me tell you a little about myself, growing up in a larger than normal family has its setbacks and struggles; but non-the-less special. Also growing up
I am the founder and president of the SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) Chapter at my school, and I've helped create SADD chapters at other middle and high schools in multiple school districts. Currently, there are about 40 students in my SADD chapter. I started my SADD group my freshman year, so I have been involved with my SADD group for almost three years now.
I do not meet the 3.0 cumulative GPA requirement. My intention is to gain unrestricted admissions to the graduate program and earn my Masters of Education degree. I would appreciate the opportunity to enroll in the fall 2015 term to demonstrate my academic ability at the graduate level. Additionally, participation in the fall term would help me prepare for the opportunity to transition to a full time course load if accepted for the spring term.
UC Merced doesn't offer a med school for graduate students, so I plan on transferring into one of the five undergrad UC schools that offer a med school, to make the transition easier for applying. The five UC's I'll be applying to are UC Davis, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Irvine, and UC San Diego. While attending a UC, I must meet the requirements for my Biology major. The requirements for biology are most science related courses such as Contemporary Biology and Lab, Biology; The Cell, General Chemistry, Principles of Organic Chemistry, Genral Chemistry II, Calculus I, Calculus II, Introduction to Scientific Data Analysis, Probability & Statistics. These are all the required prep work to get into a great med
Over the next three semesters, I will be a part of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and the Gators Walk for the Children’s Heart Foundation. I will also be an AMSA director and will be employed by the University of Florida Call Center.
LD is a thirteen year-old Haitian -American seventh grader who is enrolled in the 7th grade General Education program at Middle School 500. She lives in a large household that is comprised of her paternal grandmother, her father, younger brother, aunt, the aunt’s boyfriend, along with her aunt’s two children ages 2 and 4. LD was referred for counseling by her Guidance Counselor due to conflicts in the home with her grandmother and aunt. The source of LD’s problem stems from her grandmother’s strong ties to Haitian culture and traditions. Although LD was initially referred for family problems, the dynamics of LD’s situation changed when her grandmother died suddenly before the holidays. As a result, the focus of LD’s sessions was changed
Working afterschool at my family’s business while doing homework and playing sports allowed me to manage my time and my priorities. Whether joining NCSSM’s Residential or Online program, I will be able to welcome it will loving responsible hands into my schedule. Not only would I work hard into committing to my future and current education but also for the community that makes me who I am through volunteering and projects. I won’t just try to squeeze these opportunities into my schedule but allow myself to allot a piece of my agenda for it so I can give it my all towards it. NCSSM Residential program allows me to clubs and sports on the same campus as where I learn and, in addition, lays in the center of Durham, a city full of opportunities.
The doctor of nursing practice (DNP) professional, regarding care of the general population, must consider many situations that may alter the delivery of effective medical treatments. In the beginning of this class we reviewed many of those situations with greater focus on the vulnerability populations. Preventive care remains by far the best interventions for this group. The prepared DNP professional must be ready to assess and address effectively epidemiology and health as well as facilitating evidence-based further development of healthier people priority tasks.
“Why I Chose Southwest” I am a homeschooled high school senior. As a homeschool student, I cannot take AP classes. To remedy this, I decided to take dual classes at Southwest Tennessee Community College. I have selected Southwest for a multitude of reasons: to provide challenging courses in preparation for college, to grant me college credit, and to complete my high school education. I have chosen to take Pre Calculus, English Composition, and Anatomy & Physiology this semester. In January, I take Pre Calculus 2 and Anatomy & Physiology 2.

Over my four tests in high school physical education, the patter between tests is dependent on the test itself. As you can see in the chart and graphs above my 12 minute run increased for my 9th grade post test, decreased for my 10th grade pre test and once again
