The article “My Team Saved My Life” by Sally M. Hernandez has helped me make this paragraph. In my opinion, all kids should learn CPR because when important times like these come it should be mandatory that students know CPR. According to Sally M. Hernandez, “Because Taylor started CPR so quickly, Paris had not suffered brain damage.” (on page 29, in paragraph 18). If Taylor had not known CPR Paris could have suffered brain damage and possibly died, but thanks to Taylor she survived. In conclusion, I believe all kids should learn CPR. Hernandez also stated, more than 350,000 suffer sudden cardiac arrest. This is a big reason CPR should be required. At least by age 16 they should because it is required to know CPR when you get to college. Most
Have you ever thought about what you would do if a family member suddenly stopped breathing? Imagine that you grow up in a small town, the population is 700 people, and one morning you wake up and everyone in the town is dead. On any given day 670 people die of sudden cardiac arrest. Could it be a loved one, someone you care deeply for, or just a complete stranger? The chances are that someone in your family is going to die of sudden cardiac arrest in your lifetime. On average it takes an ambulance no less than seven minutes to reach someone in need, therefore, every adult should know how to administer CPR.
The most important advantage is that CPR can potentially save lives. Ensuring that all drivers have the accreditation would decrease the death toll annually as many people are involved in car crashes every year. When a witness stands at the scene without a CPR accreditation, they cannot do anything in their power to help the casualty, except calling for help. Depending on the circumstances, help may arrive too late. If they do attempt to do CPR without having the skills, they will only put the casualty’s life more at risk as they are not doing it by procedure.
Patients who are suffering from cardiac arrests and neurologic outcomes have a high chance of needing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Efficient use of both hands-only CPR versus breathing and hand use CPR may improve their survival chances and boost their neurologic outcomes when they undergo any form of an attack. The hands-only CPR versus breathing and hand use CPR training programs assist nurses, and the public on the treatment criteria to efficiently handle patients with cardiac arrests emergencies, resulting in an increase of the cardiac arrests survival rates for many patients across the world (Lamboy & Donohue, 2015).
If you see a child in need of CPR you will first begin to check for a response from the child. Next you will have someone call 911 if there is
Victor Dioquino September 18, 2014 COM103 September Save a Life! Compress a Chest Specific Purpose: To persuade my audience to save a life with CPR and everyone should learn CPR. Like all first responder Flight bedics are CPR certified, they have many gadgets that could save many lives and care for injuries. Its very important for them to observe the patient and find out who s/he is so when they get to the hospital the doctors know exactly what to do.
Central Idea: Drowning is one of the leading causes of death in children and I want to discuss how to prevent it. In this speech, I will discuss lifeguarding techniques and demonstrate CPR.
Let's hope you are never in a situation where someone is in need of CPR. CPR stands for "Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation". If you are CPR certified, you then have the ability to save an individuals life. As an Emergency Medical Technician,I went through special training, where I was required to have learn how to preform CPR.
The percentage of laypersons (i.e. population not working in the medical field) trained in CPR (i.e. minimum 30 minutes hands-only CPR class) will increase by 40% by October 2016.
Thesis: It is easy for anybody to learn CPR, and is something everyone should do to help save someone's life!
CPR training just like HIPAA they are both required for clinicals and any field work. During our time at Clinicals you would never know when this training would need to be put to use. Having this certification helps protect you when you want to help someone at anytime. This gives us a headstart in getting out certification early because then we will be ready for when it needs to be
Attention Getter: What if one of your friends just fell to the ground because they couldn’t breathe, would you know what to do, could you perform CPR if it was needed? It is said by the American Heart Association that sadly 70% of Americans do not know how to do CPR, or they just don’t remember how.
CPR is an incredibly important skill for lifeguards. Amber Smith, pool manager from Papio Bay Pool in Papillion, says they have roughly 15-20 saves each summer at their pool. One save at Papio Bay consisted of a guard administering CPR to a child who had fallen down the slide.
Prior to attending the CSL class, I completed the lab preparations which included basic CPR questions and watched the video clip provided. I understood the procedures for CPR outside and within a hospital environment. When given an event of a cardiac arrest in hospital, the emergency alarm is pressed and pillows are removed from behind the patient to allow the head to be tilted backwards to open the airways. Within this time the ratio of 30 compressions to 2 breaths are given while a call is made
I was raised on the South Side of Chicago. I pretty much raised myself due to the fact my father is an alcoholic and gang banger. My mother was always working trying to support my four siblings and I. My mother could not always keep up with bills so we would get evicted a couple times a year. This was the norm for me. Lucky, for me I was accept to a boarding school where I begged my mother to let me attend. I honestly believe that school saved my life especially when I would lose a friend to gun violence. Not only that, there is where I found Jesus. My family did not raise me to be a man of God, but I met a man who taught how to become one. He would go out his way to take me to church driving an extra hour for I can receive the word of God.
