In this assignment I am going to explain about the role of the effective communication
“Effective communication occurs only if the receiver understands the exact information or idea that the sender intended to transmit. Many of the problems that occur in an organization are: the direct result of people failing to communicate and processes that leads to confusion and can cause good plans to fail” (Clark, 2015).
Proofreading and revising is a very crucial step in the writing process. If a person does not proofread then the essay they worked on may not make sense and may overall confuse the reader. Using correct punctuation shows how sentences are supposed to be read. Once I have made sure all my sentences are grammatically correct I then compose my final copy of the essay.
Firstly, when it comes to my strengths in writing, I do not believe I carry many. Of the few I possess, my word selection is a constant advantage for me. I try not to settle for undereducated vocabulary. I see this as taking the easy way out and I do not believe I learn from this. Another one of my strengths when it comes to writing is my adequate spelling. Accurate spelling is strongly in my nature. When I am reading I can sense when a word is spelled incorrectly. My final strength in writing is organization. I believe my work is clear to follow. This is important so I can get my message across to my reader. Although I am solid in these aspects of my writing, they
According to Murray, when a student completes a draft, they consider the job of writing done-and their teachers to often agree (Muller, 2014).
Xcom285 has taught me many valuable assets that I can use in my future, but I believe that the most valuable thing that I have learned is that communications is not just talking. Communications is about listening and writing as well. It is important in business communications to understand that to effectively communicate one need’s to tune into everything that is going on around him or her. This means that he or she needs to understand the audience, the purpose of, and the most effective way to deliver or receive the message. When discussing resources businesses use to effectively communicate, I learned other methods of
Being able to communicate effectively builds trust, respect, enhances learning and accomplishes goals. Within my job role the level of communication I have to uphold has to be one of paramount importance. I have a role of great responsibility dealing with clients and their families or advocates, internal staff and external agencies. Therefore, my communication has to be clear and concise whilst I am conveying instruction and information. I consider communication to be successful
The best way to get better at something is to practice and have peers critique your style and fundamentals. As a student, I have my professor and my fellow peers to proofread and critique my writing. With these corrections I have learned I have many new strengths and weaknesses in my writing since before I started school at COTC. I have also been given many different types of resources to help improve my writing.
I am similar to the novelist Anne Tyler because she once said “If I waited ‘til I felt like writing, I’d never write at all.” This is me all too well because if I also waited until I “felt” like writing I would not ever write either. Writing is not something I do for fun; it is like a chore. In this paper I will discuss what kind of student I am, how strong my formal English writing skills are, any special needs I have, my major, and dream job.
My middle school writing career, I would say was pretty successful. I’ve written about many things, but my favorites were when I wrote narratives preferably fictional, these are always the best to write about, because it sparks up creativity and it gets the reader really interested into the stories. I like reading these sort of stories and that’s where I get a lot of my ideas from. I think in writing my strengths are creativity, punctuation, and attention to audience. My weaknesses are the process of starting a writing (analysis and argument) because at first I’m always doubting myself about what I wrote, but after I get the hang of it, it becomes easier and I can write it more smoothly.
On a scale to rate my writing ability I would rate myself a five. I believe I have trouble with sentence structure and I often find myself composing run-on sentences. My vocabulary level is adequate compared to others at my level of education. My spelling through, is laughable without an ability to spell grammar without a spell check at my disposal. I have no confidence in my capability to use correct punctuation, commas are a big problem for me as well as semicolons. I do not think I would rate my writing ability below a five because social media has enabled me to see other people’s writing ability.
