Dr. Crumpler motivated to change my career goal into becoming a biomedical technologist
Dr. Crumpler motivated me to change my career goal into becoming a biomedical technologist. It all started when was reading an article online for a black history story for a program at my church on someone famous from the past. So I decided to do some research about Dr. Rebecca Crumpler. I found an article about Dr. Crumpler. Although I could had have chosen other people but I chose Dr. Crumpler. However, she was an amazing woman that loved to help people. She changed the way I think about doctors. This strong and amazing woman was born as a free slave. She was taken and raised by her aunt

My sister born without thymus and this disease is called DiGeroge syndrome. I also have another life experience that changed my mind was that seeing my cousin Tyshria dying slowly from HIV, it kills me knowing that there 's no cure. Also knowing that she will never be able to have kids is even worst.
When the black history program started at my church, I was able to tell everybody on what lessons I learned on achievements. I was even able to tell everyone on what I am determining to achieve something so special like she did. Like for instance, I want to become the first female African American to find a cure for HIV and change many people lives. I want to earn something like the Nobel Peace Prize. I learned and even give some excellent advice to give to the young ones. Also, after reading this story, I was able to live and work towards change in a time when under appreciation. I have been given a chance to take college courses online through my school. And I am blessed for that. She gave me an embodiment of courage

On 08/04/16 at 8:42pm, I was dispatched to 2087 S. Hamilton Rd, on a injury dangerous or vicious dog/injured dog, serious injury, involving a Columbus Police Officer (CPD) being bit by a dog and shooting dog. I arrived at the location. I was advised my CPD personnel that the CPD Officer that was bite was transported to the hospital and that the dog was still breathing. I was escorted to the area where the dog was. The dog was on the ground, next to the dog was dog owner Jackie Fate. I was unable to see any visible injuries to the dog, the dog had shallow breathing. I asked Ms. Fate to wrap the leash around the dog’s mouth to prevent the dog from biting her or me while I placed the dog on the stretcher. Ms. Fate complied, I slowly guided the dog on the
The personal persuasive essay was by hands down the best essay I have written and also the most enjoyable to write. This was the only essay that I felt that I was just talking on paper and it was the only essay that I can see myself actually saying the words that I said in my paper. The fact that it was so natural to me is the reason why I enjoy it so much, it’s not something I had to research and it all came from me, I was the only source. From this paper I learned the art of convincing, now I can sweet talk my way in person when I’m talking to someone but it’s hard to do it on paper where you can’t read off a person to see their reaction. You have to know your audience well so that you can anticipate what they need to hear without you being
Motivation is the force that makes us do things: this is a result of our individual needs being satisfied (or met) so that we have inspiration to complete the task.
I did not meet with Pt. , I was paged by Lisa Micciulla, front desk in the emergency room to please come to the ED concerning an "urgent" situation regarding this Pt. When I arrived in the ED registration area an MGH Security personnel stopped me to talk with Pt's daughter, Charlene McDonald. Pt's daughter explained she was not being allowed to see her father, who she understands was brought to MGH for surgery after a fall. Explained to Ms. McDonald, I was aware of Pt having a gaurdian, and that there was a court ordered visitation schedule between Ms. McDonald and Pt. She reported this was an extreme situation and she showed me text messages she had sent to Pt's guardian, Attorney Tine Hajjar. I advised I could not allow Ms. McDonald access to Pt. Based on the order from probate court. Ms. McDonald has visits with Pt on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday 11:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m.
She was even known as one of the “Big Six” of the Civil Rights Movement, but her role was often overlooked because of sexism. She faced racism all through her life, especially when she was denied entrance into Barnard College because they only let in 2 African American students each year. She was the president of the National Council of Negro Women for forty years and was a founding member of the Council for United Civil Rights Leadership. She, liked Maya Angelou, inspired many African American women through a time in our nation’s history plagued with prejudice towards African Americans and women. Both women were awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for their work to create equality, Heights in 1994 and Maya Angelou in

When I joined the military, I had absolutely no idea what I was getting myself into. It is one of the main reasons why I decided to join the Reserves and not Active duty. The other main reason was because I knew the Reserves would still pay for college while I was only active one weekend a month. Growing up in Killeen, Texas – I was right beside one of the largest Army post which is Fort Hood. I had a lot of friends whose parents were in the military, and two distant cousins who were also in the service. All I knew, (or thought I knew) was they had good money.
From a young age, athletics were a very important part of my life and soccer was my passion. Whether it was playing on boy’s teams and summer leagues, or refereeing tournaments and coaching soccer camps, I was constantly trying to improve my game. When I came to college, I was excited to have the opportunity to continue playing soccer. Unfortunately, I received several concussions and I had some complications that ultimately forced me to stop playing soccer after my sophomore year. At first I was distraught, all of my personal goals were gone and I was no longer working with my teammates toward the goals we set together. However, I realized I needed to find new interests and new objectives to work towards during the rest of my time in college.
As a Lieutenant in the Northfield Village Fire Department I was responsible to respond to and supervise fire suppression and medical emergency duties by evaluating situations, supervising and coordinating operations, ensuring personnel safety, coordinating emergency incident response, conducting overhaul operations to minimize smoke and fire damage, determining cause. During emergency and training operations I worked closely with other department coordinating emergency operations using the incident command system. I was also responsible for preparing and provide training classes for station personnel, completing fire and EMS reports, preparing correspondence and maintaining personnel records.
Being healthy and staying active is not something my family has been worried about. I have to be honest,I thought the same thing before I started wrestling. I ate anything I wanted too, I was not too active. I like to sleep in and play video games. I was out of shape and couldn’t run very far without losing my breath. This all changed when I started to wrestle.
During the motivational interview, I learned that Morgan would like her teacher to read to the class every day and multiple times a day. She enjoys when her teacher reads books to the class since the teacher changes her voice for each character, makes faces, and acts the way the characters in the book acts. Additionally, Morgan enjoys reading by herself occasionally, but prefers that someone read to her. She will read in her free time sometimes, but would prefer doing other activities like art, dance, or cheer. Morgan often reads to her younger siblings since their books are easy to read and she can easily recognize the words. They often read the same book repeatedly. Morgan describes herself as an okay reader, but she feels like learning to read is hard. Morgan dislikes reading aloud books that are on her level since she becomes frustrated when she cannot figure out the words. She said it made her feel bad when she reads aloud since she struggles with many of the words. If Morgan reads a book she enjoys she will sometimes tell her friends about the book, but she admits that books is not what she usually talks about when she is talking to her friends. Furthermore, if Morgan received a book as a gift, she would be happy since she enjoys receiving presents. However, if she had a choice she would prefer to have new clothes. Morgan chooses not to bring books home from school to read even though the class has a cart full of books that students
I am particularly proud of the fact that I did well in my event during track season. I was asked by the track coach to run in an event that I have never done before--300 meter hurdles. At the beginning of the season my times were slow and my technique was poor. I watched the other hurdlers and emulated their effort. I took direction from the coach. As the season progressed, my times steadily improved. At the end of the season I competed for a spot in the regional finals. I am happy that I competed even though I didn’t make the finals. This experience demonstrates my self motivation, my ability to overcome stress and a degree of competence I didn’t know I had in a sport in which success is largely determined by individual effort. At
There was a small group of friends Jim, Mark, Tom, Mary, and Jane. They were all going on a vacation to a cabin up in the Himalayan Mountains. Marks parents owned a cabin up there for many years and they decided to let the group stay for the weekend. All they had to do was promise to not do drugs and break stuff. This wouldn’t be a big deal since all of them were in their senior year of college and were honors students.
