My Plan Assessment Paper Personality tests are beyond easy to find these days. All it takes is a few clicks from your keyboard and google will present you with thousands, if not millions of personality quizzes. However, some tests happen to be more legitimate than others. Recently, I took one such test at the Career Center at Eastern Florida State College. My results were sometimes correct, but seemed to be slightly off at other times. I did really enjoy taking a test built in this format though. The MyPlan Personality Test assesses one’s personality as the Meyers Briggs test does; meaning your personality is categorized into a four-letter description. My results were ESFP; that is, extroverted, sensor, feeler, perceiver. Each letter stands …show more content…
Again here I am an extreme feeler as I tested 88% feeler, and 12% thinker. Essentially these statistics are to show whether you live through your heart, or your head. I clearly tend to listen to my heart more than my brain. Different from logics, who listen to logic and reason, feelers use their emotions to make decisions. They care about other people, and try to put themselves in other people’s shoes. They listen to the personal voicing of opinions and such as opposed to impersonal facts and reasoning. This means that I am considered a humanitarian. Meaning I value people and their rights and will get quite upset when someone’s dignity is taken. Feelers are often viewed as very moral people, that are compassionate towards others. Words that this test used to describe feelers are caring, tender-hearted, considerate, and emotional. I definitely agree with this assessment as I am very much a feeler. I do care very much about people, and I tend to make decisions based of what I feel rather than what I think. Although feelers get a good reputation it isn’t always a good thing. Sometimes you have to make decisions based off what you think/know rather than simply what you feel. Luckily, I have been blessed with amazing parents who have taught me good decision making skills and so I do know how to do things despite what I fee. However, since I am such a strong feeler it can be extremely difficult to make the right decision, and I have definitely screwed up because of following my heart, and not my
The need for another personality test seems small. Personality tests have been in use in American since 1943 when the Meyers Briggs was first published (OPP, 2015). The field is now very diverse. With the Meyers Briggs and Smalley’s Animal Types on one end to What Star Wars Character Are You? On the other, these tests run the gambit from serious to funny, and then on down to time wasters. To really prove your usefulness, a new test must fill a niche in the market. Something only your test can provide. However the 34 vaguely worded themes give no great bit of detail to really
There are many personality tests available on the web that claim to help in deciphering your personality accurately and precisely. This test that I
When discussing the accuracy of personality tests, there is no test, which will provide perfect precision. According to Dr. O'Neil, “an individual's personality is the complex of mental characteristics that makes them unique from other people” (2006, Para 1). O’Neil believes that the potential factors involved in shaping personality include values, beliefs, and expectations that are genetic and environmental (O’Neil, 2006).
Nothing feels better than giving back to a place that has given so much to people. A majority of the little things that we do day by day are taken for granted or they are just seen as nothing major. In reality there are so many things that are given to us and we do not always see the little things in life as anything of mass importance. For our kindness project we decided that it was time for us to give a little to ensure someone had a smile at the end of the day. We partnered up with the Rho Nu club here on campus and together we made tie blankets. These blankets that we made will be donated to the Sacred Heart hospital in Spokane later this month. We decided to do this project in the hopes of giving a little, but making it count for a lot more. We hoped that the children receiving these blankets always get a smile on their face or simply that they just find comfort in these blankets. In this project I was the leader of the group and I did most of the organization of
A very useful model to assess a person personality and behavior pattern is through the use of the big five test. This test allows an administrator to get an accurate and quick assessment of the patients personality. The big five model is a widely used, modern, validated and replicated methodology for evaluating, understanding, and measuring one’s personality (McAdams, 1992). This test is highly associated with those suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder. And through this test those suffering from OCD will reveal their openness, agreeableness,
The results of my Myers-Briggs Personality type test were as follows: extrovert, intuition, thinking and judging. As I read what each category meant, I could see those characteristics within myself. I love to be around people, socializing or just people watching. I prefer things to be planned and to think of solutions outside the box. I also look at the big picture of things before making a plan of action. The following two stories display my thought process in different areas and the affects it had in my life or how I dealt with the situations.
It was too complicated to understand. My results came in as two personalities, ESFJ and ENFJ. According to 16 Personalities, ESFJ is known as the "The Consul." In high school, they're the football players, cheerleaders, student council members or in other words the popular crowd. Extraversion was E, which I had gotten on the Big Five test and basically stating again that I am talkative. I like to talk a lot but when it comes down to doing my school work, I am in full concentration mode. Sensing was S, basically being organized and realistic. Sensors in contrary to Intuitors are more about a day-to-day planner. At the end of the day they want to finish what has to be finished but if course being realistic. Feeling was F, the idea of making decisions based on emotion. It's all about intuition. Judgment was J, going with something and actually doing it. In previous group projects there has always been that one person that changes everything up without telling the group, I dislike this people. If we brainstormed something that we should stick with the plan rather than the flow. My second personality was ENFJ. According to 16 Personalities, “The Protagonist.” People with the ENFJ are born to be leaders, they're the politicians, coaches and teachers, reaching out and inspiring others to achieve and to do good in the world. Three out of the four traits that are in ENFJ were in my first personality type, the remaining one was Intuition. People with this trait tend to prefer speed but in-depth information. I am exactly like when doing
I personally think that this test got some of my personality traits but not all of it was spot on. It said that I am an
Personality assessments can serve as a powerful and impactful tool that benefits the participants or others with whom your paths may cross. Inevitably, taking assessments like this requires self-awareness in order to maximize the value of the results. In this case, the McGraw-Hill assessment covered a wide array of topics which provided an extensive assessment of my values, personality style, motivational influences and contributing factors that drive my behaviors (McGraw-Hill Education, 2017). This evaluation offered me personal insights on how I behave in various situations, the impact my behavior may have on others, additional context around my personality traits and style, and organizational considerations that may influence my actions,
After doing the personality test through The Big Five Project, I would like to reflect on my own personality. Also, I have opinion on the outcome.
I feel my reported Myers Briggs type matched my personality fairly well, however, I definitely know that I am Percieving and not Judging for the final aspect of my personality. The “Profile of…” didn’t quite match my personality as closely as I thought it would, as there were a few phrases I could identify with, but overall I didn’t quite think it was me. The being organized and planning everything out aspect of the ISFJ Profile did not match my personality; I tend to have random energy spikes in doing my work and feel exillerated by the rush of finishing something at the very last moment. My self-estimated type in class did not match my reported type. During class, I jotted down that I was ISFP which was not the same as the ISFJ I got later

I have recently became interested in personality psychology which states that we all have permanente and defined traits. Our personality “type” is also classified and determined and associated with certain personality traits. Upon exploring Myer Bringgs personality information, I find it interesting to realize that everyone can be classified into sixteen categories. As you explore this information, you find that you can ‘fit’ into a few different ‘types’, but you fit best into one specifically. A personality type also tells you a lot about what type of person you are, what careers you might be interested in, and what you will more than likely in certain future situations (such as relationships with your spouse and child). Knowing about
After taking the Individual Personality Assessment my personality trait came back as ESFJ (Extraverted Sensing Feeling Judging). ESJFs are social, structured and very assertive. Most ESJFs enjoy being around a crowd of people without feeling anxious or overwhelmed. ESFJ are very structured when it comes to following plans, events and things of that nature.
Have I ever took a personality test that answer will be no I have not taking one but will like to take one to learn more about what type characteristic shape my personality. I would expect the personality test to show my caring ability, motivation levels and strength ability. Also I would like to test tell me about my social skills as a child I did not have good social skills now as a adult I have better social skills do to self confidence that I lack as a child. My personality has grown since I was a child. A personality test will open many doors to my colorful mind.
