Mars
Mars, known as the Red Planet, is the fourth planet from the sun. The planet has seasons just like Earth as well as a 24 hour day. NASA should send a manned mission to Mars because scientist could find life, and if something were to happen on Earth, humans would have a place to go. Some people claim going to mars is too, but NASA will keep astronauts safe humans can invest on other planets.
NASA should send a manned mission to Mars because scientist could search for different types of life. One positive outcome of sending astronauts to Mars would be for protection and understanding the world we live on. Ryan Anderson on www.blogs.agu.org website states, "Studying other worlds like Venus and Mars teaches us how special our planet

Don Hassler on the space.com website states, "Radiation is the one environmental characteristic that we don’t have a lot of experience with on Earth because we’re protected by our magnetosphere and relatively thick atmosphere. But it’s a daily fact of life on Mars." (Hassler) Radiation is really common on Mars, and since humans are not used to radiation since we have protection, on Mars it can be a bigger risk. NASA should not send a manned mission to Mars and expose humans like that. However, it is very most likely that NASA will prepare a manned mission for any dangers that there is outside of life on Earth. NASA on the nasa.gov website states, "Using advanced Solar Electric Propulsion (SEP) technologies is an important part of future missions to send larger payloads into deep space and to the Mars system. Unlike chemical propulsion which uses... solar electric propulsion uses electricity from solar arrays to create electromagnetic fields to accelerate and expel charged atoms" (NASA) Before sending a manned mission to Mars, NASA will prepare astronauts for any danger out there. This shows that while some people that sending astronauts to Mars is dangerous NASA is going to already be preparing the astronauts for any
The people that go to mars are risking their lives they can die of many things, including lack of oxygen and sickness. There is no atmosphere on Mars so therefore there is no oxygen which all humans need. The people will try to make an atmosphere by planting plants which let off oxygen, which could easily fail. Some
Richard, an author for the website GOVTEEN Global Community, wrote an article briefly explaining why we as a nation, should not go to Mars. Some of the key points of his argument against going to Mars stressed that the financial cost would be too high, it would require several new spacecraft and ground habitats, and several new technologies that currently do not exist. He also was concerned about the budget cuts that have already stripped the National Aeronautical Space Administration (NASA) to a shell of what the space program used to be. He also stressed that we are still in an armed conflict that has put a strain on our nation, economically and emotionally.
Do you know that there’re only been 40 Missions to Mars and only 18 of them made it, Including manned rockets and satellites, according to Space Facts? Most of these were caused by rockets beginning to leaving the atmosphere then exploding. People should think twice before they plan to go to Mars. That is why adults shouldn’t even go up to Mars in the first place!
“Why We shouldn’t Go To MARS” by Gregg Easterbrook gives reasons for why going to Mars is a waste. On the contrary, “Remarks at the Dedication of the Aerospace Medical Health Center by JFK” by President John F. Kennedy demonstrates how there are many benefits of going to Mars. However, the Political Cartoon represents the amount of money being misspent for a hopeless mission. Twenty people have died going to space. Space exploration has taken away more than enough lives. One more life is not worth it. The sadness and grief that is felt when a family member is lost in space, is much more valuable than going to Mars. If the journey to Mars is the cause of deaths and injuries, it should definitely be avoided. There should be no doubts about saving lives! Ultimately, the space program is a waste of money and effort, so going to Mars should be an avoidable
The topic of going to mars is highly discussed among scholars and ordinary people due to the reason that it is believed that Mars can support human life. Due to the fact, that global warming is on the rise has caused many scientists to believe that eventually the earth’s ecosystem will plummet, making life on earth for humans impossible. Many scientists argue that extra research on mars is needed due to the fact that the human race would eventually be forced to migrate outside of earth, if there is to be a continuation of the human race. However, the funding for such research is immense as it is, and it is projected that this “budget will increase by 20% by the government within the next few years.” This astounding increase in budget, has led to many uncertainties as to why the government funds such an expensive research for humans to leave earth when that money could be spent on the problems relating to global warming. Here on earth it is a fact that global warming is a serious issue regarding the future of the planet. Therefore, the government funds should be allocated to research ways to emit less carbon dioxide or to try and find cleaner and safer ways to create energy for the growing human population. Another reason to stop funding the research and exploration of mars is that most space exploration is caused by human curiosity. Human curiosity has led multi-million dollar institutions like NASA to explore the deep wonders of the world and discover new technologies which changed the world. Despite, the curiosity and the technologies that exploring the universe has brought, this interest is extremely expensive and time consuming. At times the curiosity led space exploration projects were made to look like a patriotic act due to political reasons. As a result, these projects were believed to be well-worth spent since it brought great
For example, worse still, if any of these Martian germs hitched a ride back to Earth, the result could be catastrophic. Animals, plants, and people could be wiped out. Since the Martians have germs that we are not immuned to, it could wipe us all out. In conclusion, a man mission to Mars is way too dangerous.
The articles, “Why We Shouldn’t Go To Mars,” by Gregg Easterbrook, “Remarks at the Dedication of the Aerospace Medical Health Center,” by JFK, and the NASA Political Cartoon, analyzes the pros and cons of conducting research in space. Although, many believe
When scientists colonize mars it will give people the opportunity to find ice underground, it well inspire so many people, and it will allow mankind another place to live. People are ready to go to mars for things the Earth needs. It will be a expensive trip but scientists can do
Colonizing Mars would not only be a scientific breakthrough, but it would be extremely beneficial to the human race and their future. Mars would help humans in many ways by providing a planet for humans to fall back on if any bad event were to happen to Earth. Colonizing Mars would prove to be very helpful and rewarding. Also, many engineers and scientists like Elon Musk, founder of Space x and Tesla, are on board are on board with this futuristic idea.
Humans have always been interested in the idea of exploring space. the scientists, astronauts and researchers have spent decades looking for life on other planets. Mars is the most favorable place in the solar system, other than Earth, for human habitation. It is also the closest planet to Earth. Even though some researchers claim that exploring Mars will help us to understand the Earth better, and a manned mission to Mars is better for humanity, opposing sending a manned mission to Mars for these reasons: because the cost of the exportation is not worth the risk involved. this exploration will have a negative effect on Americans. Mars exploration should be halted because of the cost to the economy, the risk to society and the lack
I believe we should go to Mars because by studying Mars, we could advance into the study of the other planets in our universe, increase our astronomical research, and continually advance our systems and
By going to mars you could have nerve damage, getting blind and dementia, 16% of the loss of bone density, 40% muscle density not work. All these symptoms are a cause of getting people to travel to mars and that is something that we need to prevent from happening and until it is safe to travel, but right now it’s a no to going to mars. Sending robots are less dangerous than sending a human there is less risk because a robot is easier to feed, they are much easier to shield from radiation and could do things that a human could do. A robot is less cost for just sending one and a one-way trip and they don’t have to sleep only to recharge but is way easier than having a human in outer space than a
From the article "Let's Not Move to Mars" by Ed Regis, published by the New York Times on September 21, 2015 states, "As with any cutting-edge technology, there will be continuous threats of equipment failures.."(Regis ). Although NASA thinks that humans already have advanced technology, but it does not mean there will not be any difficulties that can lead to injuries or fatalities toward humans. Furthermore, with the lack of technology, another reason why we should not send humans to Mars would be the amount of money it would take to build a space craft. From the article "why we can't send humans to Mars yet" by Adam Mann states, "humans can't properly store the necessary fuel long enough for a Mars trip, we don't yet have a vehicle capable of landing people on the Martian surface" (Mann). NASA does not yet have the amount of resources and the money to build a space craft that will certainly send humans safely to Mars.
Should humans really risk leaving earth forever to colonize Mars? There are so many high death risks! Colonizing Mars could be dangerous and risky due to deadly dust storms, a sub zero average temperature, and radiation that could possibly kill you.
A forestfire is any uncontrolled fire in combustible vegetation that occurs in the countryside or a wilderness area.[1][2] Other names such as brush fire, bushfire, forest fire, grass fire, hill fire, peat fire, vegetation fire, veldfire, and wildland fire may be used to describe the same phenomenon depending on the type of vegetation being burned. A wildfire differs from other fires by its extensive size, the speed at which it can spread out from its original source, its potential to change direction unexpectedly, and its ability to jump gaps such as roads, rivers and fire breaks.[3] Forest fires are characterized in terms of the cause of ignition, their physical properties such as speed of propagation, the combustible
