His old self has gone, and he becomes a divinely transformed son of God. Therefore, evil can be cast out, not by man alone or by a dictatorial God who invades our lives but when we open the door and invite God through Christ to enter. “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, then I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. The author is letting us know that when we open the door in faith, believing a divine and human confrontation will transform our sin-ruined lives into radiant personalities. Once we decide to take our problems to God; we should leave them in his hands and let him do his will. God knows what needs to be done therefore, while God is working behind the scene, we are praying, fasting and being grateful for the outcome of the problem. We know that we will be victorious over the enemy therefore; with God all things are possible …show more content…
I thought about the seven sons of Sceva in the book of Acts. Therefore, we have someone attempting to cast out demons that are clearly unworthy to do so. The name of Jesus is being invoked as a talisman of sorts - a magic set of syllables that some one is trying to utter in order to gain control. When this unworthy person attempts to cast out the demon, the demons are the ones that realize the would-be exorcist as a person who may know the name of Jesus, but not really be one of his. When the demons say to the sons of Sceva, “I know Jesus” they are admitting that Jesus has power over them. When they say, “I know of Paul,” it is because they have heard that Paul is one who correctly uses the power of Christ. These demons know that Jesus is working through Paul, much to their consternation. But it is one thing to say a name, and another to understand the one through which the power comes. These sons of Sceva apparently know the words, but not the Christ (Acts
If I was to ask who Jesus was, I would have said that he was Jesus the son of David, son of Abraham. Jesus led many into Christianity and they were called Christians as Jesus was the Christ the son of God whom God sent to save mankind. I believe in Him as a leader and savior, and follow his teachings. I believe in one God, God the father the almighty. Who created heaven and earth, and all things; seen and un-seen Jesus is a divine being whom a virgin mother conceived of. God made this occurrence possible. Jesus however grew and lived among humans on earth over 2000 years ago. Jesus was a Jew, where he lived and died in Israel and spent his life in ministry with his disciples, teaching and spreading of the word of God and
John nine verses one through seven is the being of the grace giving and truth telling of Jesus in this section. When Jesus spoke with the man that was blind I believe he ministered to him and gave him a brief explanation of who he was. The disciples asked him if this man sinned from birth or did his parents sin? Jesus used the truth telling when he answered the disciples by saying this man didn't sin at birth and neither has his parents sinned. It also gives truth-telling by letting the disciples know that it was to give God the glory. Now for the grace-giving part of Jesus, is him giving the Blind man back his sight. The reason why this was grace-giving was because this man had been blind his whole life, but when he came in contact with Jesus, he showed him grace by healing him.
Did you know that Jesus was hiding inside of that Ram when Abraham slaughtered it on the alter? God Himself had prepared this supplying and it materialized at the specific second it was essential. What took place in this trade is that God obligated Himself to perform what He had promised by way of the obedience of a gentleman. From this level on Jesus in human form is essential to carry forth the deliverance of our species from mortality. PS, He obtained the task carried out. This brings us to the on earth ministry of Jesus in human type.
On September 8, 2015, I have decided to interview my cousin Sally Chia about her relationship with Jesus. My cousin was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is 28 years old. She currently lives in Las Vegas and works as a pharmacist. I chose to interview her because I figured she had a close relationship with Jesus. This is because when I was growing up she was the one who taught me about Jesus and his teachings. I have known my cousin Sally all my life, which is for about 14 years. During the interview I asked questions about her own personal relationship with God, and she answered my questions with great answers.
Today we want to look at the causality that took place in the Garden Tomb during the 6 day war.
The Gospels of Jesus tell a story that is a unified story over the four gospels. Each of the four writers had their own point of view that they were writing from. Just a four journalists covering an important story will write from their own point of view
Throughout Jesus’ time here on Earth, he changed many peoples’ lives. For example, he would heal the sick everywhere he went, as well as preaching to thousands of people about God and His Salvation. The Pharisees, a group of legalistic people, were trying very hard to convict Jesus of a crime, because they did not like how he would “rewrite” the laws of the city in order to help people in need of a savior. In fact, there are three distinct times in Matthew 1-14, where Jesus “rewrites” the Jewish law in order to continue ministering to thousands, if not millions, of people.
For the Glory of God, we are created: and that we may worship Him wholeheartedly, He provides our needs on a daily basis.
The primary focus of each of the three quests for the historical Jesus, endeavors a series of approach to challenge the legitimacy of the Synoptic Gospels as an unreliable resource to study Jesus existence; even more, to question the NT portrayal of Jesus veracity, through an intellectual group of scholars applying other ancient book in their research into what is known as today “the Quest of the Historical Jesus.” Unlike the first century Christians, “It was widely assumed that the Jesus presented in the Bible was the man who lived and died—and rose—in Palestine in the first century.”1
friends. Their speaking in foreign tongues became their badge of honor. Competitiveness emerged to see who was more orthodox and more gentle and humble. All their time was devoted to performing good deeds as hurriedly as possible, not wanting their consecration to be challenged. One easy method to prove their devotion was to discover those in hiding without the mark and reveal them to the police. Everyone believed it a duty to report to authorities anyone not giving their loyalty to sweet Jesus. When such sinful people refused to repent, and were publicly executed, Christians of the world shook their heads in disbelief. They could not imagine the extent of the depth of a fallen nature capable of blinding people to such ruin.

There were at least two reasons why I believe Jesus did not answer Pilate’s question, “Are you the King of the Jews?” This charge against Jesus could involve a challenge to the authority of Rome, so Pilate asked a direct question about Jesus’ kingship (Knight 2001, pg. 230).” Many times in the past there had been confusion as to Jesus’ kingship. The kind of kingship Jesus had was so very different and not just being king of the Jews. Thus, had Jesus admitted to being the King of the Jews in court, he would have admitted to being the King, which many were looking for, one who would provide deliverance against Rome and all of Israel’s adversaries. Had Jesus verbalized, “no,” he would have been lying. By the same token, it had been established,
The perfect man lived over two thousand years ago, and no one has been perfect since. Jesus is the man everyone wants to be. He is a man of many great qualities; some of his best traits were kindness and compassion, wisdom, and patience.
Jesus was speaking to His disciples at the time but now those words are directed to you and I.
Jesus founder of humanity changes the course of history. The story in Numbers is about the people in the wilderness “annoyed” and scared of the unknown. Therefore, the Israelites complain and speaking against God and Moses, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and we loathe this worthless food?” Because they were whining! God did the utmost sending venomous snakes among the Israelites to bite and kill them (Numbers 21:5-6).
