My family and I have a christmas tradition that involves watching movies all night Christmas Eve and open our presents at midnight. Six years ago I got a tablet. I was so excited for when I woke up a few hour later after it had been charging and couldn’t wait to use it. If I had known what I know now about what happens next, I would not be so anxious. Christmas Day 2015, my sixth grade year. I woke up and of course I was the first up of my brother, sister, mom, and dad. When I rushed to the living room to play with my present, it happened. I started coughing to the point when I collapsed. I was laying on the floor coughing out every bit of air that was in me and that is when I felt the lack of breath. A lot of stuff had happened to me, but that was the first time in my life when I thought I was going to die and the pain made me actually want to. I was alone in my house, having the worst experience of my life, and if it wasn’t for my father waking up and hearing me. He rushed to get me an inhaler, but it only helped me regain the ability to breath. I could not stand, I could not talk, I could not eat, I could barely breath, I felt like a fish out of water and I felt helpless. I was rushed to the E.R where I found out that a throat infection was the cause of all the pain, and that my weight caused the asthma attack.
