The Agency Little did James Shaw know that the day his best friend Alex Marshall went missing would change not only the rest of his life but the course of history as well. It was a time when the FBI, police, and overall government was corrupt. They could monitor not only one’s phone but all other smart devices including cars and televisions whenever they wanted. This was exactly the problem one night in San Antonio Texas. It was early in the evening. James was at his best friend Alex’s house packing his things to go home while Alex was downstairs, getting a glass of water. Other than the running of a faucet and occasionally shuffle of feet, it was silent. Silent, until the backyard door suddenly banged shut and glass shattered. James, a curious and daring boy of 17, rushed down and into the kitchen, only to find Alex gone, his glass of water broken on the floor. It was the next morning. He traveled by foot for hours, James couldn’t call a cab, bring a phone, or have any electronic device with him, in apprehension the FBI could track it. Days passed and James still didn't have any clues as to where his friend may be. One day, however James was looking in a convenience shop when he realized something. Alex had always talked about living out in the country and wanting to live there someday. James recalled him mentioning this exactly: “One day, I want to move out into Bandera, and get a big house.
