I would first of all like to say thank you for providing me with the chance to apply as a National Honors Society Member. Becoming a member of the National Honors Society would be an outstanding achievement for me. Academics have been the most important thing to me ever since I was able to receive a grade. I understand that to become a member of the National Honors Society you must make intelligible how you are outstanding in the following areas; Academics, Character, Leadership, and Service. While in National Honors Society I hope to grow as an individual in each of these areas as well as assisting others in the growing process too. Academics play a big role in this specific Honors Society, and I am proud to say that I have a 4.4 GPA and even more proud to say that I plan to exceed a 4.5 GPA by the end of my senior year. Academics are one of the most important things in high school in my opinion. My past two years in high school I have made all A’s and only two B’s which were 92’s. …show more content…
I will always encourage people to do their best and will always guide people into the right path. I will always promote excellent behavior and will exemplify it as well. Leadership is not all about telling others what to do in my opinion. I believe that leadership is about accepting responsibilities and working together as a group to make excellent decisions. Being a leader comes in when you need to lead someone in the right path and standing up for what is right. I am leader inside and outside of the classroom. Inside the classroom I am always helping others understand their work more. Outside of the classroom I am always encouraging people to make good decisions. My sophomore year I was captain of the JV cheer squad. As the season went on I realized that everyone should have a say in the decisions being made and I also learned that being a leader is not all about being
Leadership is being able to guide other students into being the best they can be. I am a leader who is always positive and cheering others on to achieve their goals. At my school, I have a position as the Vice President of Academics in National Honors Society. Since I have obtained this position, I encourage other students in this group to participate in service projects which is where one volunteers to help out the community in some aspect. These volunteering opportunities are good thing to do because it builds character and it is always fun helping others out. As a leader, I bring new ideas to the table on where we should help out in the community and anything that we could do in school that would fun and helpful. Along with participating in National Honors Society at my school, I am also involved in our Student Government Association. Although I do not have a leadership position in this club, I still engage in the activities that we do. For the past two years, I have gone to an annual meeting for leadership where multiple schools attend. At this meeting there are fun activities where you learn more about leadership and how to be a good leader. As a leader, these meetings help because it is always good to learn new
An important part of National Honor Society is the Academic excellence of its members. Throughout my Freshman and first semester of Sophomore year I have worked and studied hard to maintain a perfect 4.0 grade point average and an ‘A’ in every class. Currently I am taking Advanced Placement US History, a difficult class for those who wish to go beyond the typical classes. With hours of studying and paying close
As a member of National Honors Society, I hope to contribute towards being involved and helping to improve our community both in and out of the school environment. Within school, I do my best to represent myself academically and challenge myself to new material when given the opportunity. This can be reflected by my grades and GPA, which I will continue to work on as my high school career progresses. I have always done whatever it took to keep myself in the honor roll, and have kept myself within that range ever since middle school when honor roll started to be announced. I not only represent myself academically, but I represent our school when doing activities such as sports and music. My skills are well pronounced in whatever extracurriculars
The National Honor Society is a group of kids that excel; they work with the community to improve the community and their abilities simultaneously. I believe that I would be a fantastic addition to Lynden’s Nation Honor Society Chapter because I exemplify the four points of the National Honor Society scholarship, service, leadership, and character. One of my strongest points is scholarship. The reason that I show scholarship is because I am willing to work very hard at everything that I do. When I was a kid, I did terrible in school, my grades were bad and I was heavily tutored during and after classes.
To be chosen as a candidate to become a National Honor Society member is a huge honor. I have been working very hard these past years and to finally be recognized for it feels great. I am a very hard working person and I love to help when I can. I believe I am responsible, hard working and easy to get along with, so I would love to be apart of National Honor Society to do even more than what I already have done. My academic achievements show that I am very hardworking and responsible.
National Honor Society My acceptance into the National Honor Society is one that I am exceptionally proud of. I was inducted into the society in 11th grade and will continue to be a member throughout my senior year. Those inducted meet the standards of the four pillars which are scholarship, leadership, service, and character. I have worked extremely hard in my studies throughout my four years of high school and feel that it is right to be recognized. It is nice to be surrounded by like-minded individuals and those who are determined to achieve greatness.
The National Honors Society allows students to be build and create traits that are essential in a successful adult. I truly believe that hold many of these traits and joining the National Honor Society will grant me the opportunity to expand on these traits and grow as a person. Thus far I have focus greatly on the scholarship aspect of NHS and have been dedicated to my academics. I have held my GPA above 4.0 and have always been devoted to maintaining that high level of academic success. The skills I have shown in devoting myself to my academics can be easily translated into my dedication for the other aspects of leadership, service and character. Having previously held a officer role in the National Junior Honor Society I have gained experience
I believe the most important requirement for gaining membership at National Honor Society would be a student’s personality and character. First of all, I learned to maintain a positive attitude even after my failures. I came to the United States as a freshman in 2010. At that time, I really had hard time learning English and I didn’t do well on my exams. But I didn’t give up easily. Instead, I put more efforts on my weakness and I overcame the difficulty I had. Secondly, I learned how to take care of myself and how to initiate new relationship with others, as well as how to adjust myself in new environments. That is why I make a lot of friends in my community. I am also an enthusiastic person who would like to help and motive other students. I think I can be a good role model for other younger students.
National Honor Society is a greatly beneficial club to join; it offers a chance for students to express their dedication to school as well as their distinguished characteristic traits of leadership, integrity, and altruism. As I reflect upon my high school career, I displayed these qualities, making me a candidate for National Honor Society. Due to this opportunity, I write to you an application for this club. It offers a chance for me to express my commitment to my community and my school.
The reason that I am interested in becoming a member of the National Honor Society is because the National Honor Society represents all of the values that I find most important in my education and life. National Honor Society requires academic excellence throughout high school. At the beginning of my Freshman year, I set a goal to graduate with a 4.0 GPA. I have worked diligently to achieve and maintain this grade point average while taking several advanced classes. So far, I have taken three classes for college credit and plan to take multiple more during my senior year. Through the course of my high school education, I have realized how important it is for an individual to develop and maintain these studious habits. All of the habits I have developed through becoming an excellent
I am over excited to continue getting honor roll throughout my years in high school. After highschool, I am going to try my best to get into a well known, or very good, college. I am going to try my hardest to get into the medical field. I am counting on my grades, attendance, behavior, and sports to get me to become a successful worker. I have also received “Perfect Attendance” plenty of times in my years of middle school.
Thank you for your consideration of me as a candidate for the National Honor Society, it means a tremendous deal to me. I have worked extremely hard to earn my chance to become a member of the National Honor Society and this application resembles a small prize on the enduring path to success for me. I believe, as a member of the National Honor Society, I will be able to enhance my spirit of service and accomplish more service goals and projects. Although, I already have many leadership skills under my belt, I can only imagine the many more skills I will gain from being a member of the National Honor Society. I believe you can never stop learning.
I think I should be considered for a membership for the National Junior Honor Society or NJHS because I am a different individual with a dream. My dream is to fulfill my parents dream and make them proud. My parents have done so much for me and they deserve to be repaid. My parents want me to go to a good college and graduate
This has been ingrained into my mind, so that I show leadership everyday with ease. In the classroom I strive to not only be my best to also help others do their best. To do this I always do my best to include everyone in group projects, I also encourage and provide support to others to make everyone feel involved. Outside of school I also show leadership in my extracurricular activities. For example as teammate on a basketball team I boost my other teammates morals by celebrating their accomplishments as well as trying to get everyone on the team involved by passing
I lead by example and try to listen to what everyone has to say. Whenever we have school projects, I try my best to make sure everyone is involved in some kind of way. At times, I tend to be more of a follower rather than a leader and I am aiming for a change through this institute. Leaders play an important role in groups all throughout life. They have the opportunity to share their life experiences and the lessons they have learned through that experience. A good leader plays many roles such as providing guidance and support for the group as well as young people.
