When I was fist informed of something called National Junior Honor Society in middle school, I was unsure if I wanted to be a part of it, but soon after research and explanation, I quickly knew that this was something I wanted to join. As I was handed my candidate letter just a few weeks ago, it excited me to have the opportunity of something great that can lead me to new openings. I believe that being part of this society will truly be an honor and allow me to feel accomplished from all of the hard work I have put into school these past three years. Upon graduation, it is my goal to be a distinguished graduate and maintain my 4.0 GPA. When I completed my freshman year, I was unhappy with my GPA, but had the motivation to raise it nearly three points higher the following year. Doing well in school has not only come to me because I know it is necessary in order to have a great future, but it is also used to challenge me. Having this challenge allows me to complete my work on time and award myself with the feeling that I know I did exceptional on an assignment.
My three years of high school have provided me with an opportunity to join many groups such as the Water Polo and Swimming teams along with being a Girl Scout and in the SADD and KEY clubs. I believe that my involvement in the National Junior Honors Society could change my future significantly. It is an outstanding opportunity to develop many skills that can be used in high school, college, and my future career. The National Honor Society is a prestigious group of students, and is is quite the accomplishment to be affiliated with this organization. It would be an honor for any scholar to be a part of. The group learns how to become fantastic leaders and beneficial members of their community. Each member has to excel in four areas: character, leadership, service, and scholarship. Throughout my freshman year at Notre Dame Preparatory I have participated in many new activities that have allowed me to grow in character, leadership, and service. Examples of such activities include school athletics, membership in the United States Civil Air Patrol, and ushering at my Catholic parish. Through school athletics I have not only grown in my athletic ability in the sports of track and cross country, but I have grown in my ability to move through adversity and challenges. Being eligible to become a member of the National Honor Society is a great honor. Becoming a member will open opportunities for me to grow as a person and help me reach my future career goals. I am privileged to be considered for the National Junior Honor Society. There are not many adolescents with the qualities found within a NJHS member, and I would be honored to be an anomaly. The National Junior Honor Society is an admired, well-respected organization I would love to be a part of. One tenet I can promote is scholarship. Evident from my eligibility for applying for the NJHS, I have earned exemplary grades throughout my school career.

Being chosen to be a candidate for a membership for the National Honor Society is such an honor to me. It shows that I have worked hard in all aspects of my life to show leadership, success, excellence and service, despite the many challenges I have faced along the way. It also proves to myself that I have worked hard to maintain my grades in ninth, tenth, and some of eleventh grade while maintaining a part time job, and volunteering at a barn in my hometown.
There is the question at hand as to what qualities I possess that could better National Honor Society. The National Honors Society allows students to be build and create traits that are essential in a successful adult. I truly believe that hold many of these traits and joining the National Honor Society will grant me the opportunity to expand on these traits and grow as a person. Thus far I have focus greatly on the scholarship aspect of NHS and have been dedicated to my academics. I have held my GPA above 4.0 and have always been devoted to maintaining that high level of academic success. The time and effort I have put into each and every day to shape who I am displays my dedication. Growing up, I had a vision of who I wanted to become because of the influential people who surrounded me. As my current chapter is coming to an end, I realized I obtained my goal; I have managed to play every sport that interested me. My goal led me to play my three favorite sports, all four years of high school. Along with my athletic abilities, I have managed to maintain a spot in the top ten percent of my class, which made me eligible to participate in National Honor Society.
I’m so honored, to be eligible for National Honor Society. Ever since my dad told about N.H.S. back in 8th grade, that became my goal. My dad told me that to be in it you need to be an excellent student but, also help others. In my middle school years, I participated in Boy Scouts. But, due to sports and having a job, I had leave. But, a big requirement for them was to be apart in the community. Making you have to volunteer, participate in the different things, helping others,Boy Scouts made it fun. I’ve been lucky to have been apart of it leaving me with much knowledge that I can use everyday.
First of all, I would like to thank you and the Honor Society for this humbling opportunity for me to join the National Honor Society. This is a chance that I have been hoping for since the first time I heard of this organization, how it can help those who belong to it and how they have in turn help those of their community. I think I should be considered for a membership for the National Junior Honor Society or NJHS because I am a different individual with a dream. My dream is to fulfill my parents dream and make them proud. My parents have done so much for me and they deserve to be repaid. My parents want me to go to a good college and graduate
