I think that four-year colleges give you much more opportunities and expand your horizons. You have so many more choices at a real college compared to just a community college. Four-year colleges a lot of times have faculty and staff that have experience in the class or field that they are teaching, unlike two-year colleges. At a 4-year college you also have access to better resources such as bigger libraries, gymnasiums, and more advisors than you would at a two-year college. You have more chances to get involved in clubs, organizations, and teams like there are at four-year
One of the best benefits about a two year school is the small class sizes and opportunity to know the professors well. Whereas, a majority of the four year schools have large class sizes in enormous lecture halls with professors the students rarely get to know. Small class sizes allow individuals to receive the help they need in order to master the subject and have their questions answered directly by their professors. Being able to know professors on a first name basis allows for students to build relationships with professionals who can help the further down the road in their major and career. These relationships can provide the students with opportunities from recommendations, internships, and advice from the trusted professors they are privileged in knowing. Students at most four year
Marine by graduating in boot camp which is 3 months. Before becoming a U.S. Marine, I’d have to have a high school diploma and be in the delayed entry program for the Marine Corps which I already am in. I’d also have to achieve a minimum score of a 32 for the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test which is the minimum score requirement for the Marine Corps. Since I have already scored a score of 39 in the ASVAB and passed through the full physical check in a Military Processing Stations (MEPS) and got my ship date which is on August 13 to the three month Marine boot camp, I will have my chance to become a Marine. Since I’ve had Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) as my elective since my freshman year of high school, I would be promoted to a rank of an E-2 which is Private First Class (PFC). A PFC would make a monthly basic pay of $1,793.40 a month and a yearly basic pay of $21,520.80. When I have graduate from the U.S. Marine Corps boot camp, I will have to train and learn at the School of Infantry (SOI).The work environment when enlisting as an active duty Marine, you would have a 3-4 year contract that dictates how long you will stay in the Marines and what Military Occupational Speciality code (MOS) which is your field of work or job that you have for the whole 3-4 years of your
Unlike community college, universities have a campus that extends over a very large area with many secondary buildings that have consists of classes. In respect to that, they also offer on-campus housing and dorms, which might be rare in the case of community colleges. Due to this reason most foreign students tend to enroll at four-year colleges. Why is community college the most effective option? The answer to that question is simple. Community colleges provide just as much opportunities as a four year does, but just as a lower price. Price is a very important topic now a days and saving can be very beneficial to one's future. Another example of college price is the two colleges compared. Manuel S. Public 2- and 4-Year Colleges' Impact on Loan Debt", conducts a study to determine the price difference between starting at a two year school versus starting at a four year school. The outcome of the test was that a two year school has less expensive student loans. The study

After my time in Virginia ended I finally got the assignment I really wanted. I got assigned to the Big E herself, the USS Enterprise. She was a beautiful beast. The biggest and best aircraft carrier ever to sail the sea. It was not a big move for me as her home port was in Norfolk, Virgina. Her Captain was Robert Leushchener and he was by far my favorite commanding officer I ever served under. I was a member of the crew when he was relieved of command and that almost made me rethink my career in the navy. Of course he eventually became an admiral and I even talked to him a couple of years ago when a bunch of us that served together had a reunion and used the Skype to talk to him. I was actually serving on the ship when they filmed
Since its formation during the early years of our nation the United States Navy has always stood out among other militaries, playing a vital role in the protection of our own country as well as the rest of the world. Founded upon the core values of honor, courage, and commitment the Navy has continued to uphold its men and women to exceptionally high moral, mental, and physical standards for nearly 240 years. It is my favorite branch of the military and becoming an officer in it has been a goal of mine for a long time.

The essay, “Two years are better than Four” was written by Lis Addison which was published in the They Say, I Say book. This essay is about the author, Liz Addison explaining her feelings and experiences of going to a two-year community college. In her essay she talks about a man named Rick Perlstein who believed that college really doesn't matter that much, but going to a four-year college is better than going to a two-year community college due to the college experience being better. Throughout the essay Addison mostly compares and contrasts why going to a two-year community college is better than going to a four-year college. She uses what Mr. Perlstein says about his years at a four-year college to write her essay and explain why a community college is more beneficial to students and their futures. Throughout the essay she lists all the benefits of what a two-year community college can do for some students that a four year university can not.
