The schools above are ones I have chosen to apply not only for the attendance, but for the Navy ROTC scholarship because the resources I have at school and by word of mouth provide me with more information about them. The resources I have had lead me to indicate that these schools have what I pursue in my career with the United States Marine Corps. Attending these schools on the west coast of California would allow me to become more familiar with the environment I would have the chance to be based in if stationed in the United States an officer. Being familiar with the area would give me the chance to focus more on developing leadership skills with those who I plan to lead by example. It is my goal to be able to take people from my community
Serving in the United States Army through Army ROTC scholarship is the first step in the assuring that my future is headed in the right direction. Because of the heavy investment that is done by the United States government and citizens for . Serving my country with pride and duty in our future is a big honor. It allows me to experience a regimented, disciplined and honorable welcoming into adulthood. I will be fully prepared to maximize any opportunity that comes my way.
Two colleges I would like to attend is High Point University and UNC Pembroke. I would like to attend High Point because it is near both Winston-Salem and Greensboro. UNC Pembroke is also a great option to attend to because I noticed that the campus is closed off which will help in staying focus but it’s not as close to the city. My academic interest is in natural science involving biology but also math. My social interests is doing activities in the city in order to have a separation from campus life.
This is a great academy for me because it will help know what courses I would like to do and I will learn so much from and there are many reasons why I should be chosen for this academy. Also I feel like this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and this has a lot of advantages and It will benefit me a lot.
Thank you for awarding me a scholarship to further my education at Radford University. In addition I appreciate the graduation gifts, cards and words of encouragement as I celebrated graduation from high school. I promise to work hard and use all gifts wisely. And, most importantly I can’t thank you enough for your prayers, opportunities and support given me growing up in Loudon Avenue Christian Church. Love you, Joseph Sparrow
I personally thank you for your generosity in giving me your Corps of Cadets Scholarship. My family and I are grateful for your Support
The ROTC program is going to be a staple for my future. First the main reasons that I wish to receive this scholarship are that it will provide money for schooling and help further my career in the military. This scholarship will provide me with a chance to focus more on my school work, and spend less time worrying about money to pay for school. The scholarship would also allow me to graduate without debt, that in turn would give me the chance to invest early and save for my future. The next reason why I would appreciate the scholarship is being able to become an officer right out of college. Becoming an officer would allow me to start my military career in a higher station, consequently, giving me the opportunity to further my career as far
Naval Academy offers an exceptional education and impressive academic internships with institutions such as NASA & Boeing and summer training cruises within the Navy itself. These challenging opportunities will enable me to further develop my leadership & critical thinking skills. I have successfully used these skills in the past, but a Naval Academy education will further refine them, allowing me to serve my country fully, both on active duty and in the years to follow.
Since its formation during the early years of our nation the United States Navy has always stood out among other militaries, playing a vital role in the protection of our own country as well as the rest of the world. Founded upon the core values of honor, courage, and commitment the Navy has continued to uphold its men and women to exceptionally high moral, mental, and physical standards for nearly 240 years. It is my favorite branch of the military and becoming an officer in it has been a goal of mine for a long time.
The Department of Navy offers different Child & Youth Programs (CYP) for children ages six weeks to 18 years. The specific CYP program that will be discussed in this paper is the Child Development Center (CDC), located at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Maryland. Within the different Child & Youth Programs, the CDC at Patuxent River provides care for children six weeks to five years of age. There are consistent philosophy, goals, and objectives for all Child Development Centers. The philosophy of the Patuxent River Navy CYP Child Development Center states:
I would like to thank this foundation and it’s donors for considering and choosing me as a recipient for the scholarship award of $2,500. It means so much to me to receive this award that will allow me the chance to continue my studies at the University of Virginia under their nursing program so that I can become the nurse that I someday aspire to be.
To attend the United States Naval Academy has been a dream of mine for a while, due to the prestige of attending such institution. the Academy offers many things that cannot be had at many universities, such as becoming an officer after graduation, summer programs aboard navy ships, and a structured schedule. To be able to attend an institution such as the Naval Academy is a goal of mine because of the opportunity it offers. The main reasons I want to attend the Naval Academy is because of the majors they offer, the experience of being a Midshipmen, and the opportunities after graduation.
Leadership Development, and the desire to serve my country are two main reasons that have guided my life towards wanting to attend a service academy. Always having to ability to demonstrate great leadership has been an extraordinary part of my life. I have had the opportunity to meet past graduates, and they showed me how services academies take special pride in developing there cadets into fine young men and women. The United States Military Academy produced several people (ex: Robert E Lee, Ulysses S. Grant) who are not only prodigious leaders, but have had a tremendous impact on the U.S.A itself. Personally, I have always believed that everybody has the duty to serve their country in some sort of way. Being able to attend a Service Academy
I have a family of five, two brothers and two parents. My dad works for Ricoh, a company that sells printers, copiers and software. He grew up in a Greek household in northern Chicago. My mom started her own interior design business a few years ago and works for herself. She grew up on a farm in eastern Indiana in the small town of Fort Wayne. My brother Nick is enrolled at University of Iowa and will graduate with a finance major in May. My other brother Drew is a sophomore at University of Illinois and plans to major in finance or accounting. Then there is Matt, the fidgety man who tinkers with electronics, enjoys woodworking and creates better alternatives for random things (toys, RC cars, furniture, etc.). I plan to pursue engineering at University of Illinois, University of Iowa or University of Iowa State because of my love for problem solving and working with others. Golf will forever be apart of my life and so will my passion for pond hockey (as long as my body lets me). I may be quiet and shy when I first meet you but I’m a totally new person around my friends and very outgoing. I’m determined to work hard and make a change in the world someday. I hope to create a lasting legacy on this Earth.
I would like to attend a military academy because I would like to be the best that I can be, while at the same time, serving my country. Education at the AFA is comparable to the best universities in the country, including my prospective major, Astronautical Engineering; so, the service academy is an excellent academic choice for me. Additionally, only the best-of-the-best attend these academies, and being surrounded by such great people will be terrific to make new friends and network.
In my search to discover the best environment to continue my studies I have come across many schools. While I have been impressed by each, Virginia Tech is the only to have genuinely captured my attention. Spending a night with the Corps was the single greatest experience of my life and has led me to pursue not only Virginia Tech but the Corps as well. Being exposed to reputable college students chasing their dreams has influenced me to do the same. If their presence was able to impact me so strongly, what can I achieve after four years of being surrounded by the Corps of Cadets? An institution built on distinguished students of high moral value is unquestionably the conclusion of my college pursuit. Virginia Tech is where I belong.
