Based on the NCCT practice exam I need to review pharmacology, infection exposure control and safety, phlebotomy, other diagnostic test and ECG troubleshooting and maintenance. I did not do very well on the NCCT practice exam. I know I need to study all the possible abbreviations some of them I just could not recall. A study goal that I want to achieve is to be able to describe in detail what certain body functions are and how they work. The areas of the NLNCC that I experienced for this week was one, three, four and seven. The fourth element in BMS is teaching and is in conjunction with the NLNCC number one. Since the area of nursing is both practical and academic the integration of both areas of nursing into a lecture is a big advantage. This will instill the confidence in a new nurse as well as a seasoned nurse that is expanding their learn capabilities. When putting together my power points for the lectures that I did the best way is to be able to bring in the clinical side of nursing into the lecture. It is as simple as putting two and two together. The NLNCC number three is very much in in conjunction with NLNCC number one and also uses the teaching aspect of BMS. When in teaching and the power points that I used an effective assessment or evaluation is needed. Since I added to my power points I made it not only a teaching opportunity, but an evidence based learning opportunity too for both. The NLNCC’s fourth model is not my strongest. However, I am getting better with it. I am developing multiple choice quizzes from time to time and revising them too, but the more work on this the better I will get. I did aid in the writing of a quiz for the week, but this will really come into play for the final exam preparation for the students. The plan for the following week is to write some questions for the final on the areas that I covered. This will really give me the confidence and comfort level to know I can write for the next level. In BMS this is also a teaching model and deals with the implementation, evaluation and assessment. This leads to the tests that are written and going to be written in the future. The one area that I will need to work on is the area of design of the curriculum design. This week I have had
