Thank you for bringing awareness to the value of resourcefulness librarian’s and experts provided. Technology is complex. Thankfully, Marian’s librarians are not only present in Fond Du Lac, but extend support services through the phone as well as email. I have formally, taken advantage in prior research guidance with high quality research journals from external databases that I had never known prior. The librarian provided a wide range of extended resources, personal knowledge with database searches, and printed journal sources (not available online), but mailed to me personally within 2 days was unbelievable. I completely agree with, Liberians are able to save time that is extremely valuable to all of us, nor should a librarian
Besides being entranced with the golden dome, “touchdown Jesus” also found a place in my heart. The Hesburgh Library is one of the most beautiful buildings on campus. It is appropriately named as well. Fr. Hesburgh was an influential leader on campus and throughout the world; he was an advocate for peace rather than violence. Under his tenure, the first female class was admitted into the university, and after serving as president, he was able to witness the first African-American valedictorian. I am sure a dream of Fr. Hesburgh was fulfilled on that spring day. Even after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed, he continued to fight for equality in housing, employment, and higher education for minorities. Hesburgh’s attitude toward equality

The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh was the first to have a Science and Technology department in the country as part of the four regional resource centers for the state of Pennsylvania; the State Library of Harrisburg keeps government, Pennsylvania State University Library obtained agricultural, and the Free Library of Philadelphia maintained music and arts. Using this knowledge, he met with the relatively new directors of University of Pittsburgh library and the Carnegie Mellon library to discuss cooperative possibilities in 1987. They wanted to know how their individual collections could help each other, how to provide better lending services, and most importantly, how to provide the access to all individuals in the city of Pittsburgh. This resulted into the establishment of the Oakland Library Consortium to maximize resources across the universities and city
Founded in 1899, Northern Arizona University’s (NAU) first library opened with a dictionary and encyclopedia in its collection. Located in the central part of the NAU Flagstaff campus, it provides both physical and virtual environments that foster intellectual discovery, collaborative research, and access to technology (Library overview, 2016). As with most academic libraries, the research collections are critical to supporting the curricular and research mission of the university. As of April 2016, members of the NAU community and public have access to more than 670,000 print and e-books, 81,000 e-journals, 161,000 online audio and video recordings (J. Swann, personal communication, April 19, 2016). Successful learning requires inclusive and widespread support along with relevant resources from the library. Thus, the library offers spaces including group and individual study rooms; multi-media production studios, classrooms, and a makerspace. The library’s mission statement confirms the organization is committed to:

My incredible team members got in contact last week and we went on our scavenger hunt at the library today. To be honest I came into the scavenger hunt pretty clueless about where everything is because I typically go to a certain spot there and no where else. So I am grateful for the opportunity I got to see how the Jerry Falwell Library truly is an indispensable resource for any college student. I plan on utilizing the spaces over the next few years to study, brain storm and do homework. Our library also provides countless resources in the building ranging from thousands of books to databases we have access too. The staff members also have a joyful attitude and are willing to help answer questions and concerns.
The District of Columbia Public Libraries are encouraged to develop information, reference, and directional services consistent with the goals of the community. Meeting the information needs of the community calls for a variety of resources and a broad understanding of the kinds of questions that patrons may need answered. The library must make sure that staff is well equipped with the necessary skill they need to provide good information service. I have chosen the Mullen library at the Catholic University of America. The library mission is to provide support and enrich the instructional, service programs and research to students. “The Mullen library system house over more than 1.3 million books and print volumes, provides access to tens of thousands of electronic journals and books, and is staffed by professional librarians (Mullen Library, 2015, pg.2). The students and faculty at Catholic are given several ways to interact with reference librarians. Librarians communicate via email, telephone, in-person, email and through chatting. They also provide research consultations with students and library instruction to guide them. The library carries out its mission by serving as the primary
My studies at The Ohio State University have imparted a broad knowledge base that would be beneficial for a Library Associate to have. I am familiar with a wide variety of technologies and office equipment including computers, tablets, printers, photocopiers, hand-held devices, e-readers, fax machines, cash
The Notre Dame (meaning ‘Our Lady,’ the full name of the cathedral being ‘Notre Dame de Paris,’ or ‘Our Lady of Paris’) cathedral is located in Paris on the Île de la Cité, one of the two remaining natural islands in the river Seine. The Catholic cathedral was preceded by St. Stephen’s, the Merovingian cathedral that stood on the island prior to the construction of the Notre Dame, which required that St. Stephen’s be torn down. The Notre Dame was built when Maurice de Sully, the bishop of Paris at the time, decided a larger sanctuary was necessary to accommodate the growing population of Paris.
