1.2 Problem statement The current problem is the loss of potential proteins and fibers that can be profitable as to be used as feedstock for cattle or poultry. This can also be used in the production of biofuels, such as ethanol or methanol. The proteins and fibers are in the form of dull or fine cornels or as chaff that is blown out at the back of a self-propelled combine harvester. The main problem is not only to capture the dull and fine cornels and chaff, but to separate them from the MOG mixed with them and to package it. The project consist of two parts: 1) Separation of the dull and fine cornels and chaff and 2) the packaging of the separated dull and fine cornels and chaff. 1.3 Objective of the project The objective of the project is to design a workable machine that would separate the dull and fine cornels and chaff form the trash MOG. The other part of the two part project, would be controlled by another student. Contact must be held between the two students to insure that the two parts of the project would merge with each other without any complications and to insure that the project would reach its main coal. 1.4 Scope and limitations The idea is to design a suction blower or a similar mechanism that would be inserted at the back of the self-propelled combine harvester. This would separate the materials leaving the harvester and leave the unwanted MOG to be spread over a wide area or trough it in a heap at the back of the harvester. The MOG would either be
