LAX- There is little rain throughout the year and it spikes during the winter season. There is little to no rain during the summer. The temperature doesn't get very hot and it doesn't get very cold either, there isn't a very big variation in either.
Oulu, Finland- It rains every month and it is pretty constant throughout the year. Their temperature had a bigger variation, the year starts off very cold and peaks during July and cools off at the end of the year.
New Orleans, L.- It rains a lot during the year, and rains every month. There are defined winter and summer season in terms of temperature but not for precipitation because it rains throughout the year.
Ottawa, Canada- It rains every month and seems like it increases little by little
The city is located right where temperate and tropical climates collide. The weather never dips below 50 degrees and, according to a NASA study, is much less likely to experience a hurricane compared to the rest of the state. Because of the Indian River to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, however, Satellite Beach can get quite humid year-round.
I noticed that the city has humid climate that is slightly modified by its relative proximity to the Atlantic Seaboard and The Great Lakes. The area experiences extremes of all four seasons, with temperatures ranging from zero to 90° F depending on the month. The city experiences a significant amount of rain most of the year and a slight bit of snow during the winter time.
Hawaii, translated from the ancient Hawaiian language should mean paradise because that's what it is. Hawaii has a climate that varies only several degrees in temperature year round and the sun always shines. The rainy season is in January, but it isn't so rainy that it deters visitors. In fact, winter is one of the most popular times of year to visit Hawaii. This is probably because it is cold and dreary just about everywhere else in the United States. Hawaii makes for the perfect getaway for Californians because it is only about a three-hour flight.
Because the country is located directly in the path of the hurricane belt, winds and rain are stronger, bringing cooler temperatures and causing rainfall that varies from year to year with 53 inches in the east regions, 82 inches in the northeast, and 17 inches in the west. This is typical for this region, and cold temperatures are not at all experienced. Due to this particular type of climate, the country has more than 50 percent of agricultural land use, and 40 percent forest area.
New Orleans is an American city known for being very different from the rest of America. The differences vary in food, attitude, location, and atmosphere. These differences make New Orleans a unique part of America, and they have survived through many cases of adversity such as white supremacy, Hurricane Katrina, and many others. If events like these occurred in any other city across America, it would have caused mass diaspora and eventually the collapse of the city into something unrecognizable. New Orleans is a different story. New Orleans has resisted much of the change that has taken hold of the rest of the country. They have traditions that have been passed down and an attitude that is only at home in New Orleans.
The city's of Chicago, Cleveland and Omaha were on the same longitude. Chicago and Cleveland had around the same amount of rainfall expect for Omaha and it was higher in average fall than the two. In temperature Omaha was the coldest out of Chicago and Cleveland. The reason why Omaha, Neb has the most rainfall and temperature was because it is father away from the equator than the others, which is why Latitude effects the temperature, rainfall and many more things with that location.
Rain in New orleans is normal and the monthly average is about 4 to 5 inches of precipitation. One of the biggest businesses in New Orleans is Entergy Corporation. That company’s assets is $38.69 billion.
To begin with, Arkansas rains more often throughout the whole year; therefore, the air is more humid in most cities. One of the reasons is the Arkansas River that runs through this state, and it brings water from the East to into Mississippi River on the South. At the same time, California is a desert state, so there is little to no rain during the year. Since there is no major river or lake, the air is dry in most
Throughout the year, three-month periods of rain and dry weather alternate. Along the Pacific coast precipitation is heavy. At Bogotá the annual rainfall averages about 1060 mm (about 42 in), and in Barranquilla it averages about 800 mm (about 32 in). Dry weather prevails on the slopes of the Cordillera Oriental.
The pattern of precipitation in Brisbane is not regular. The Bureau of Meteorology of Australia (2015) has mentioned that the number of rainfall days has decreased but the intensity of rainfall has increased. From the data below, we can demonstrate that the data is not following any particular trend. In 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2014, rainfall received is just half of the amount of rainfall in 2010. Also, the intensity of rainfall received was highest in the days of months of December and January as compared to rainfall days of other months.
Earth has four seasons but they do not all occur at the same time everywhere. The reasoning behind this is not too difficult. It takes a complete twenty-four hours (one day) for the earth to make one turn/rotate on axis and three hundred and sixty-five days (one year) to complete an entire orbit around the sun. While doing this though, the earth is tilted at a 23.5-degree angle, following an elliptical path. The sun is not centered in the middle of the path though. The earth and sun are closest when it's January. Most would think that this suggests it would be most humid in January then. Well, the tilt of the earth causes the northern hemisphere to face away from the sun and the southern hemisphere to face towards the sun, giving the Southern
The climate is dry and hot from March to May and wet during typhoon season
U.S. Conditions like Florida and other states with a high range of hot spells are perfect
Today is a rainy day and the temperature has been in the low forties all day. The environment has shaped my behavior immensely today. I tend to be extremely productive on rainy days. I love the rain and it puts me in a mellow happy mood and when I’m in those moods I tend to do things to improve my day of life like cleaning and doing homework. “Tweaking the environment is about making the right behaviors a little bit easier and the wrong behavior a little bit harder.” I am actually writing a majority of this paper today, which happens to be black Friday. Usually on black Friday my parents make my brother and I leave the house. My mom and dad go shopping early in the morning and wrap a lot of the presents later in the day. Since it was raining and I was kicked out of the house for the greater good, I figured I would trap myself in Starbucks and crank out as much work as I could. Having the change of setting and mood of the environment around me I was able to stay more focused than I would have if I were trying to do work on my kitchen table. I am a person who gets easily distracted so shaping the environment to make change easier for me would consist of trial and error for what works. Trying new things and recording their outcome, then sticking to what works best it a great was to shape the environment and behavior. An Amazon 1-click-style tweak I can create for myself to make my goal easier would be to get a time every week where I go to a quiet place, whether it
