As future pharmacists, we are going to face with not only the medications but also the patients, which the former ones are our tools while the latter ones are the people we use correct tools to care about. We are required to combine our pharmacy knowledge among medications with patients’ different health conditions to create the patient-centered care and provide the best outcomes. However, this care trend is in transition now, from professional-orientated to patient-centered.

Improving the aspect of health care is an important objective for all health care providers. One piece of improving the aspect of health care is ensuring that medicines are being used properly and effectively. Another piece of improving the aspect of health care is ensuring that pharmacists are being paid for putting their practices or services to use. “Pharmacists have comprehensive and unique education and training in the use of medications for the treatment, management, and prevention of diseases to contribute to the health care team.” There have been many studies conducted that has shown when pharmacists are involved in the health care team, patient results have significantly improved. Without having the provider status, patients and payments for pharmacists are closed off from the prosperity of a pharmacist 's’ services.

PharmaCARE has many stakeholders. The stakeholders include: the company and its employees; the healers (the inviduals that provide support and share information about indigenous cures); the African nation of Colberia where the factory is located and Colberians who provide the human capital to harvest plants and in return gain meaningful employment. Materials for the packaging and production of the products are also stakeholders. The FDA, insurance companies, and distributing pharmacies are all stakeholders. The communities in New Jersey are stakeholders. Stakeholders also include low income consumers to whom PharmaCARE own foundation that sponsors healthcare, educational programs, and scholarships, but rely on the parent firm to provide it

In order to prosper in the company, we need to do many changes for a better future of the company. First of all, we need to identify methods for collecting opinions and input from employee. This means having weekly meetings and collecting verbal/written surveys, that way it allows everyone to contribute and input ideas/opinion. Secondly we need to determine skills needed for each position, training and resource. I visited a well community pharmacy on 02-11-2017. The well pharmacist mentor provided me with academic and professional support and facilitated my learning. During the placement, the responsible pharmacist asked me some questions to test my knowledge and understanding. This support enabled me to achieve the visit goals and to link my learning at the University to real-life practice. I observed how NHS and private prescriptions are dispensed in the pharmacy. Also, how the well pharmacy standards operating procedures(SOPs) are applied in the workplace and which member of the team performs the legal and clinical checks on the prescriptions. Pharmacists play a vital and active role in society in the health care system where they provide medicines to patients as well as providing information about the medicine such as side effects. Pharmacology interests me as I can apply my learning to ensure I know how to develop and use medicines for the maximum benefit of patients. I also admire that it is a career where I can communicate with the public and help patients to take part in decisions which affect their health and wellbeing. In addition, I will constantly be developing my knowledge throughout the years and putting my knowledge into practice.

The purpose of a community pharmacy is to provide patients with a safe and trustworthy environment to pick up their monthly prescriptions. The typical process involves patients seeing their doctors, being diagnosed with a health condition, and being prescribed medications to treat these health conditions. Patients are then expected to bring their prescriptions to their pharmacy to get them filled and proceed to get the medications refilled on a monthly basis. The challenging aspect of this process is that most patients are not on just one medication to treat their conditions. Rather, most patients are usually taking multiple medications to treat their chronic health conditions.3

Pharmacy is an essential part of modern day health care. Pharmacists today are well trained, highly skilled and easily accessible to the public. However, pharmacy was not always as convenient and advanced as it currently is today. Since the times of prehistoric man, pharmacy has evolved greatly over the years and has become a safer, more efficient and more important part of society.

The practice of pharmacy provides individuals with a variety of options to fulfill their personal and professional desires. Many pharmacy students begin school with an idea of what realm of pharmacy they want to go into upon graduation. Most individuals choose community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy or they return to academia. Although, community and hospital pharmacy are the two major career paths for recent pharmacy graduates, there are many other ways to practice pharmacy. Pharmacists are employed by the military, pharmaceutical companies, long term care facilities, universities, government and federal agencies, and various other unique locations. This paper will compare and contrast Pharmacy Benefit Management, Office Based Medication Management and Government/Federal Pharmacy.

Because a pharmacist has the life of the patient in their hand, they must be very mindful of their job.

By reading more and more about ownership in pharmacy through this course, I came up with a good vision on the subject. I knew that there are many types of ownerships in pharmacy such as independent pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, MTM services, consulting pharmacy, and more. Then, I have read about being successful, and what I need, to be successful at ownership. Hence, gaining more skills, such as management, innovation, motivation, and commitment will help me in my career plan. Because ownership needs more patience and more support, only hard workers are capable to succeed at ownership. After that, I have read about how to start a new business, and I knew that it’s very important to get an expert advice. It doesn’t matter how much experience I have in pharmacy, because I still need an expert advice. More simply, there are other sides of ownership that I don’t know such as laws and regulations, or things related to accounting. Definitely, I will need an advice from a lawyer and accountant. I may need also to ask a consultancy services company to cooperate with me.
