New Year’s Eve has become one of the biggest days of the year for parties and events throughout the world. Therefore, an unlimited amount of events are planned and executed on the last day of the year; this year I attended a New Year eve party at the house of a co-worker. The party was held in a neighborhood just inside the city of Charlotte. It has been a while since I attended a house party, so there are some aspects that come along with a house party that will increase the amount of risk associated with the staging of the New Year Eve party. The name of the event was Shari and Cue’s New Year Eve party; the event was held on December 31, 2015. The party started at 9:00pm, and was scheduled to end at 2:00 am January 1, 2016. The event was held at a house so the facility was well managed. There was one entrance into the basement, which led to the crowd being forced to use the same stairway to enter and exit the through the same area. I would have suggested that the event planners had selected another venue to hold the party because the party had a cramped feeling to it. Therefore, the exit and entrance was clearly marked, but it was a lack of actually signs used to identify the exit and entrance. The nature of the event made the need for security to be moot, everyone that was invited to the event was friends of the party host. Thus, security may have been overkill at an event of this scale. The event was lacking ADA accommodations, if there was an attendee that need ADA accommodations to make to the basement where the majority of the activities were being held, then the lack of wheelchair access would have been an issue. When planning an event, the scale and scope of the event is vital to consider the size of the crowd that will be attending the event. The New Year Eve party had between 50-60 attendees throughout the course of the event. Based on the information provided by the event planner, there was probably 15 more guest than they initial planned to host at the party. The location of the event caused the flow of the traffic to become a possible issue. When holding an event in a private neighborhood, there will be a limited number

The manager could have also had discussion with that patron and explained that they had every right to be seated as they did. That the group was not being disruptive or conducting themselves in a threatening manner. This is a prime example that there are some rude people in this
Everyone loves a good Christmas Party. Christmas is a time of togetherness, sharing, family, friends and everything that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. One thing that is usually a party of most festive get together's and also warms you up, is booze. Such is the story of an 1826 Christmas Party at the United States Military Academy. And like most nights that are all blurred together by alcohol, there is sometimes a bad apple or two that ruin it for everyone. I know it is hard to think that the young men who attended West Point could be part of such behavior, but when the falling down water is flowing, it could happen to anyone. The events that would transpire over the days leading up to Christmas end in the infamous events in the
As for an invitee the owner must maintain the premises in a reasonability safe condition under the circumstances. The owner of the stadium could have prevented this type of situation from happening. Like some baseball stadiums they have small nets up along the first base line. Also as for tickets that states in very small font “fans and spectators should be attentive and aware of potential objects coming into the stands, such as foul balls. “ The owner should have make it more clearly and large able and not put it on a ticket. Most fans do not look at the ticket after they get into the stadium. The owner breach the duty and caused
The police saw these as valid reasons to arrest the people there and quickly began ushering them outside. Some were told to wait by the sidewalk, while others were being pushed into toward police vehicles. The police force was not as coordinated as they had hoped to be that night. There were very few police vehicles in the area and the backup cars were supposed to already be at Stonewall, waiting. “So, patrons were required to wait in line for about 15 minutes,” (The Stonewall Inn). When nearby people noticed the large crowd outside Stonewall, they came over to see what was going on. The crowd had grown much larger than just the bar patrons being arrested or let go, when the backup vehicles finally arrived. By this time, the Stonewall community had grown agitated.
“They came knocking on our door because the power was down and they told us that we could not bring anything with us due to that the space was small in size that we had to share with other people that were also going to the conference room and to put all of our belongs on a high shelf or in the bath tub. When we starting heading down to the conference room people were rushing every where and the wind was so strong that people were holding on to other people” - Carol
“Birthday Party” by Katherine Brush uses literary devices such as tone, point of view, diction, and sensory details to achieve her purpose.
She said there were 6 people total in their group, including her and her cousin. Two men who looked like they were around 30 years old, most likely brothers. A pregnant 25-year-old woman with her 10-year-old son, my grandma and her cousin. She
The next biggest incident that occurred between the families was the New years Eve Massacre. This resulted in the death of Roseanne, Airfare and Calvin McCoy and the burning of Ole Randall McCoy’s home. In an effort to end the commotion once and for all, a group of the Hatfields and their supporters hatched a plan to attack Randolph McCoy and his family. Led by Devil Anse’s son Cap and ally Jim Vance, a group of Hatfield men ambushed the McCoys’ home in 1888. New Years eve Night of 1888, was the night the revengeful group acted out their plan. They surrounded Ole Randall McCoy’s house and set it ablaze. At the time the family was asleep so not many made it out. Randall McCoy was fortunate to escape, with a few damaging burns, but sadly
When you decide to have a party, you must realize that the people you invite are there to have a good time. If you do not plan the party correctly and your guests do not enjoy themselves, they may never come back to one of your get-togethers. Take this into consideration when planning the event even if making the necessary arrangements becomes time consuming and tedious. No matter what, remember how important it is to take the time to plan your party step by step. The steps you must take in order to plan the perfect party are to first identify the theme, second calculate your budget, and lastly make the final touches in order to successfully plan and have the perfect
The process of planning a party takes a lot of time and focus to get every detail covered. First of all, you must decide where you will have the party, maybe a club house or your own home. When you have that decided then there are several other steps you must take in order for your party to be successful.
A risk we were concerned about was that some of us may be denied entry for not being dressed correctly, someone being too intoxicated or the venue reaching full capacity early on, meaning the bouncers could simply pick and choose who they wanted and as we weren’t familiar with any of the staff this probably wouldn’t have been us.
I was never a person to go out and party in my hometown, but being 18 and in college I decided I would branch out a little but not to where I would be uncomfortable. Coming to Greensboro I knew there were parts of the city that were prone to violence, being new to the city I did not know where those areas were just yet. We decided earlier in the week that we were going to go out that Saturday, Fredrek started looking on Snapchat for addresses or any flyers for parties that we could go to. He found two, one was downtown at a “club” and the other was a house party. The night we were going out we took an Uber while
On that night, we have encountered four groups of clients. The first group seems to be around 17-21 years old and is a little bit hostile, so we did not spend much time with them and failed to ask questions. Based upon the conversation between the group and the social workers, they have probably stayed at that particular spot for 2 hours which mean they began hanging out before ten o’clock.
The enclosed report contains my analysis of the Salmonella poisoning issue in the recent lot of seafood-stuffed pasta shells. Based on the potential risk to human life, minimization of financial losses and preservation of Mike’s reputation, I recommend that you initiate a recall of the entire lot of pasta
