This is because knights focused more on fighting techniques and how to improve them, rather than focusing on spiritual beliefs and traditions as well, which is what the samurai did. The knights also had very strong and good armour which helped a lot in battles, while the samurai’s armour changed a lot but wasn’t ever as effective as the knight’s armour. The knight’s weapons were also more advanced and better then the samurai weapons.

In Japan, it’s a common sighting to see samurai being featured in pop culture, such as movies and TV shows. This might be because the samurai had a significant impact on Feudal Japan and influenced the whole of Japan’s history. However, aside from being a powerful warrior race, the samurai also had great culture and philosophy. The word “samurai” came from the Japanese verb “sabarau”, which means “to serve”. This was because a samurai’s role was to serve the daimyos and the samurai actually started out as the daimyo’s servants.

The defense tactics used in ninjutsu are called Taijustu. Ninjas had to be relaxed to do it, and if executed right, they could give an almost infinite amount of counters(Ninjutsu). Ninjas had a shinobigatana, short sword, that was a single-edged blade that was very important to the ninja’s close combat. It allowed the ninjas to quietly crawl through small passageways(Masaaki). Some of the swords had secret compartments. “The scabbard for instance, was made longer than the sword. At the end of the scabbard there was a hidden compartment that was used to hide small weapons”(Ninja Weapons). The next weapon ninjas used was usually six feet in length and was said to be the most dangerous weapon in the ninja arsenal. The name of this mighty weapon was called the staff. “The reason for the hollow part was another trick of the ninja. By flicking the bow, the ninja could launch a poison tipped dart or small knife out of the open end of the staff”(Ninja Weapons). All those weapons
