Hello to a new adventure.” This quote sums up the feelings that come to mind as I fill out this application to transfer to Rutgers New Brunswick. My experience so far at Rutgers has taught me a lot about myself, and the people around me. It taught me that I am a part of a bigger picture, and each of us as individuals have a huge impact on the society around us. However, I have come to peace that it is time to move on from the Newark campus and pursue my degree at Rutgers New Brunswick School of Arts and Sciences. New Brunswick would be a more logical option for my studies due to a shorter commute from home, and a better computer science program.

Although the location of the campus is important to me, it is only a small factor as to why I am passionate towards attending this specific program. NCCU has been known for many things throughout the years, but the most important thing they have been known for is creating a leader out of every student that graduates from their university. Back in 2011, before I graduated in 2012, I did much research on Schools of Education’s in North Carolina that had high graduation rates. I came up with many schools such as Elon University, Appalachian State, and North Carolina Central University. My original choice was Elon University, but I didn’t get accepted to them when I first applied. I was heartbroken but I later learned that school’s decision gave me the opportunity to find a better fit for me. I chose NCCU because the school’s operation is very smooth, they fit my personal needs, and they have an awesome education program.
