It’s senior night for the basketball players at City Christian High School, and for both JV teams, it was the last game of the season. The emotions were running high for players and fans alike, both parties knowing this would the senior’s final chance to play on the court.
After school one day he tried out for the middle school football team. The worst part was having to spend the end of the tryout waiting for the results. The players did all the same drills during the tryout, and now they just stood there and waited. All the boys were standing awkwardly, twitching and with sweaty palms trying

Over the summer Ben's team played in a baseball tournament, his team was not very good and were losing most of their games in this tournament, and this particular one too. With runners on first and second ben went into into the game as a relief pitcher. On the first pitch the batter hit the ball into right field and the right fielder, Cameron Manning. There was a boy named Carlos. Carlos got every thing he wanted, because his parents were rich. His parents were snobby and were show-offs too. Every morning of the summer he went out to his back yard and threw the ball around on his football field in his backyard. Carlos always loves walk out to the fresh smelling green football field. He would do his morning routine. When he woke up he would get ready for the day he would put on his athletic clothes. When he went out he would take the monster truck tire and pull it down and back, down and back, for a total of 1,000 yards. Carlos could always taste his sweat drip into his mouth after the workout. After that he would take a bag of footballs and set one on each 10 yard line until the other side in the endzone. He would throw each football into his field goal post and did that with every football. If he didn’t get every football into the endzone, Carlos would get beat by his father, a multi-million dollar
Charlie lives the teenage dream, his best friend's grandfather is the owner of his favorite football team so every home game he gets to go and sit in the owner's suite. Charlie is very fortunate to have an owner of a NFL team to be his friend. There was a couple times the owner of a NFL team listened to Charlie about players, once there was a QB named Tom Pickett on the Bengals that Charlie was watching and it was a preseason game so all players play, and Charlie figured this guy would get cut. He thought he would get cut because he was a 39 year old man and the Bengals already had a good QB. Charlie noticed something that nobody else did that this guy could throw 15 yards down the field further than he was able to when he was with his other teams. A week later the Bengals cut him, and the Bulldogs picked him up because Charlie had mentioned him. At first Tom was the backup but right before the season opener the starter a
The state tournament was next week it was the biggest tournament of the year. They had practice every day for two hours up till the tournament. Their first game was on Thursday at 12 pm so they had to get out of school early for it. They played a really good team from the south called the kings. The hawks win and advance to the semifinals tomorrow against the
Joe takes the snap and drops back in the pocket to pass. He looks left, right, and left again and nobody is open. He decides quickly that the best thing to do in this situation is to scramble and run it himself into the endzone. He breaks outside and remembers what he's playing for. A scholarship to U of M. But the he thinks deeper to realize what he is actually playing for. He is playing for his brother Ryan who is fighting for our freedom over in Afghanistan. He can now smell the endzone like it is freshly baked bread and the whole room smells like it. Joe feels the pressure on his shoulder like he is squatting 560 pounds in the weight room. Jacob Pendergrass Makes his way to open green. “ The 40, The 30, The 20, The 10, TOUCHDOWN SALEM!!!” The announcer yells through the microphone. The crowd goes nuts and rushes the field. Out of the corner of his eye he sees a man walking over to him with a phone up to the side of his face. He is wearing blue and yellow sweats and a black Tee shirt. He comes up to Joe and introduces himself. “Hello Joe my name is Craig Morgan from the University Of Michigan football team. We would love it if you came to our school and played some ball for us.” Said the man. “I would love to!” Joe replies with excitement. At this point Joe’s knees become very weak and almost falls over because he never would have even thought that he would one day be recruited/picked up by
It was two weeks before the state championship game and Ella and her team had been working really hard to win. Every year Ella's team had made it to state and every year they had lost in the first round. Ella wanted to change that this year and so far it looked like Ella and her team were on the right track. They got up at 5 AM every morning to go to practice at 5:30 and then turned around to go to practice at 3 everyday after school. Their coach drilled them so hard that they could've done every play, drill, and made every shot in their sleep.
Dalton had 2 games at 12:30,and 5:25 and Jersey had 2 games at 10:05,and 2:00. So it would be a busy day. Their dad Bradley Ashtin who played for Sporting KC had a game on Sunday against Real Salt Lake on the twins birthday. It was going to be a surprise for them. Their mom would take them to one of their favorite restaurants and then take them to the stadium. But, they wouldn’t know where they were going to their father´s game . Real Salt Lake are one of the best teams, Bradley and his team played in their whole season. So there dad could watch their games on Saturday. Once they were dressed, they were all ready to go to Overland Park. Overland Park had turf fields, so the ball would roll faster than on regular grass at Legacy and other places. Dalton’s team was playing a really good team from Oklahoma called The Evolution. Once they got there and got settled the teams were ready and were ready to watch Dalton's game. At halftime, it was 2-1 Dalton’s team was winning by 1. One of his teammates Owen scored in the 10’ minute, then the Evolution scored in the 12’ minute. Eventually, Dalton scored in the 20’ minute. By then it was halftime. When it was halftime Jersey and Bradley would usually pass and shoot the ball together. Dalton’s team won all their games 2-1,1-0, and 2-0. Jersey won 2 games and lost one 3-1, 1-0, and 0-2. After their games they went back home to chill and watch some tv. By then both the twins were asleep on the couch watching the Kansas City Chiefs vs Oakland Raiders. That Sunday morning, it was the twins 19 birthday. After their games, their mom would take them back to the house to change and go to the twins favorite restaurant to eat. After they would eat they would go to Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas. The kids thought they were just picking up their dad from practice. By then the twins were walking in when they heard
Over the last 4 years I have had the opportunity to learn about the three pillars of mead football which are commitment, excellence, and hard work. Out of the three commitment has had the biggest impact on me as a player and a student because as I went through the season if I wasn't committed then I wasn't doing my job of being a leader for the underclass men. One major impact commitment had on me was if I didn't show up to a summer lift or even something small like not showing up to an optional football meeting showed to the younger guys that me as a senior leader not being committed gave them the excuse of not showing up. So as I went from freshman year to senior year I really took being committed to football to heart. The one thing
High school basketball superstars Danny Wilcox and Terrell Jamerson are going to a summer camp to play basketball, when they first get there no one notices Danny but then he starts to improve his playing style. Then Terrell gets mixed in with a bad reporter and gets Terrell "lit". Danny knows from the time he sees Terrell's eyes and he tries to get him eye drops before anyone sees him and that’s just when Danny's father walks in and he knew too. Danny and Terrell get benched for a game and of course they loose that game. Then when they come back they win almost every game and make it to the championship round and
Happy February! I don’t know about you, but it was extremely hard to get fired up about the NBA yesterday, what with the Pro Bowl and all. How can an exciting and full Monday slate possibly compare to the true test of grit and determination that was offered in yesterday’s NFL “game” in Hawaii? We’re back for another day of dishing out excellent DFS picks.
We were destroying Lenawee Christian, and at the end of the third quarter we were up 44-6. Coach started to put under classmen in the game. Shortly after, I heard coach calling my name. I could not believe it, that coach was actually going to put me in the game! I was excited and ready to go in. Coach put me on defence in the cornerback position. I have never practiced this position, so I was a little nervous. Little did I know, the first play I was in, I got injured. A senior from the other team ran through
Once upon a time in New York, there was a football named Fred. His dream was to get to be played with in the Super Bowl. For now he isn’t even used for pee-wee football practices. They never use him because he is flat. One day he gets sent in to fix the hole in him. He accidently gets put into the wrong truck and is now with the Super Bowl balls! All of them make fun of him for being new. One of them even calls him a nerd. He cries and cries and cries. Finally, they arrive in New York and get sent off to the stadium. All of the other footballs say that he is never going to get played. The next day is the Super Bowl. One of the footballs is really nice. He helps Fred to never give up on his dreams. When it came game time, Fred got picked to
