To become a person who is capable of thinking strategically and achieving strategic goals firstly we must understand where we stand. Our right now capabilities should first be understood and solved. We as human beings are not born with the skill to think strategically, we have to develop it. The VARK test: also was done in class but on a website so results were written down in paper. The abbreviation VARK stands for visual, aural, read/write, kinesthetic sensory modalities. Fleming and Mills (1992) suggested four modalities that seemed to reflect the experiences of the students and teachers. Although there is some overlap between them they are defined as follows.
Visual: this preference includes learning visually. Which means pictures, pictograms, graphs, charts, diagrams, circles, arrows and any other form of visually presentation that people use instead of written resources.
Aural: this preference includes things that are heard or spoken. Learners preferring this style usually say they learn better with lectures, group discussions, radio, web chat and talking things through. The Aural preference includes talking out loud as well as talking to oneself. Often people with this preference want to sort things out by speaking first, rather than sorting out their ideas and then speaking.
Read/write: people with this learning style prefers things written. People who prefer this modality are often addicted to PowerPoint, the Internet, lists, diaries, dictionaries, thesauri, quotations and words. Note that most PowerPoint presentations and the Internet, GOOGLE and Wikipedia are essentially suited to those with this preference.

Learning styles are defined as an individual's mode of gaining knowledge. The most common learning styles addressed are auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. For Strategic my first strength it has taught me to try and ask every possible question and pull all information for the member that I can possibly get so I will understand exactly what they need taken care of. The main characteristics of a visual learner are that they remember what they see, instead of what they hear. They also prefer diagrams, pictures and to read and write rather than listening. This learner is usually good at spelling, but forgets names, and needs to study in quite. Also, they would tune out when they try to pay attention and they would need an overall new and purpose beginning a project.

Strategic planning involves making decisions about the organization’s long-term goals and strategies and how the organization decides to implement their goals (Bateman, Snell, Konopaske, pg. 113). Strategies help organizations to have a clear perspective on how to go about accomplishing the goals they have in place. All organizations have a clear vision of what their mission and purpose as a company is, they know how to fulfill the mission, vision, and purpose and they know how to ensure that they accomplish all their goals. However, the route the organization takes to define these things determines how effective they will be.
