Orientation:
The program conducted a parent and student orientations during the week of August 24th. We had about 100 parents in attendance and broke up the group by class year. We provided a parent/handbook in both Spanish and English. This year's goal was to focus on students' grade point average. It was explained that success in the program this year was defined by having a grade point average of a 3.0 or better and how parents could support their children with this goal.

Math 19500 - Precalculus - for the first in the program we had a number of students earning an 85 or better on the Math Departmental Group final. A number of juniors in this class received an A- or better. Students’ Accomplishments and Adjunct Feedback:
Feedback from one of our Adjunct – David Stoler: Hi Sophia. I updated our shared doc to reflect my student’s grades. They were all A+. I'm extremely pleased with the EC students. As you know, we had a dynamic group, and the highest lifted the lowest so that everyone really gave their all and excelled. I was very proud of how hard they worked with and for each other, a key component to workshop. I'm looking forward to my EC class next term!
Autumn Rodriguez’s paper was accepted by the CCNY Owl newspaper for publication

Deborah Diez: "The Bronx is NOT Burning" About Dominicans moving from Washington Heights to the Bronx Revamped the on-boarding process for the 9th graders. We were able to host an assembly introducing the Early College Program to the 9th graders in September and hosted a parent and student meeting in October where about 90% of the parents were in attendance. We also moved the 9th grade CCNY orientation day to late November to avoid any CUNYFirst issues. Projected expenditures in each budget category for January 1 through June 30, 2017:
Study Aboard:
This year due to some budget activities and staffing concerns we decided not to proceed with the Study Aboard program for winter 2017. We will consider the program for either Winter 2018 or July 2018. Winter Session and Spring Course offerings:
Offered courses for both the juniors and seniors. We also introduced to the seniors the Internship program for spring 2017. For the sophomores, and some juniors, the program partnered with the CCNY Public Safety office to offer the following workshops - CPR Training, Self -Defense Training, Emergency Management/Active Shooter and Sexual
