Believe it or not, this was the first paper I wrote in about a year. Receiving this assignment, I had to really think about how to approach this assignment since it has been so long. My approach to this assignment was to first decide who I want my three audiences to be. After that, decide the word that I wanted to define for them. I choose the word digital literacy. Deep down I knew what digital literacy meant, but I wanted to be sure because it is so broad of a term. I had to do a bit of research to confirm my suspicions of the word. Then I imagined myself explaining the term as if I am talking to the intended audience. In doing this, I would put the thought down and as a result, the first draft was completed. Upon reading the comments of my peer reviewers, Kathryn Jahn and Trevor Hembry, and taking the …show more content…
As I was reading my first draft I also noticed how distracting the section titles were. It really made me lose focus as I was reading, so I decided to take it out. Trevor mentioned about my use of the technique Etymology, and how my use of the technique confused the reader. I read what I wrote, and he was right about it being confusing. My usage of it was not clear and concise, so I edited in a way to try to explain the origin of the word and transition into the definition of digital literacy. Another point I would like to point out is my peers and the tutor thought that my audience was too broad. They read my audience analysis and had trouble understanding who my audience was. Kathryn said, “For your audience analyses, really focus more on who you are talking to (focus more on broad background terms then specific names).” She along with the tutor thought my audience is too broad and that I should really narrow it down. Originally my audience analysis 1 was meant for the club members but their suggestions were to mention that the members are STEM majors which will give the reader an idea of who and what the audience
*Customer called to check if the scheduled appointment she has for installation today (08/10/2015) will push through. Through probing, CAE identified that the customer is supposed to have internet, TV and security system installed today however there was no specific time provided. CAE had started the call appropriately and assured assistance however, the account was not properly authenticated, the CAE only verified the customer’s service address.

At time of pickup the system will allow the employee to bring up the specified reservation and to print out a "rental agreement” The system will require the employee to verify the information on the "Rental Agreement" and to then input into the system a notice that the agreement has been gone over. This will ensure that the employee has in fact gone over the agreement and everything is in place.
On September 11, 2015, I was pulled over and accused of going 76mph on a road where the speed limit was 45mph. At first I was in shock because I was unaware that my driving was so recklessly, however, that same day one of my tires was found to be flat resulting in a trip to Tire Kingdom to purchase a new tire. When I arrived, a few of the mechanics on duty commented on the size of my tires. They informed me that the rims that were on my car at the time, and had been on my car since before I bought it, were nineteen inches long and the rims designed for my car are supposed to be fifteen inches long. They then went on to explain that due to the size of the tires versus the size of the car, my speedometer was actually displaying my speed to be
The topic of my colleague’s schema focuses on discovering the great public art pieces throughout the globe, such as the city buildings, local landmarks, and so on. Since the concept of public arts is somewhat broad, I mainly collect the data of those well-known sculptures in divergent cities. At the beginning, the process of collecting the accurate mobile survey data for someone else’s schema was quite challenging. As knowing what the founder actually wish to include in his data is the first puzzle to resolve, I searched dozens of sculptures through the world in order to filter for the best ten options. In addition, I borrowed from my own experiences to try to maximum recall the sculptures that I have seen before in different areas. However, the data itself should be more objective
There once was a young computer named Mac, whose job was to gather, process, output, and store data and information. He was born in 2013 and contained 4 gigabytes also known as 4 billion bytes on his RAM. He used He lost both of his parents when they were sold from best buy, so now his is on his own trying to figure out his life and how to do his job. I believe i would make a difference on this server because of my history helping on other servers. I have heard a lot of positive feedback on servers saying I am good at helping and that they love the work that I am doing. I believe I can make a big difference on the server and help out the staff as they are doing a great job

There is sufficient fake news today that validation of certain packets of SOCMINT might have to simply be thrown on the back burner. There is so little fact checking anyways so one implication is that SOCMINT will be directed to the final user and mass-disseminated if it must reach a large group with the ever present stamp “take this with a grain of salt” or “rumor has it…” The benefit of seeing the big picture remains and patterns can still be detected. “The massive sample size creates something of a normalizing effect and enables higher confidence levels in the inferring of trends, anomalies and patterns which might normally escape notice with small datasets, with implications for future predictions.” (Lim, 2015. 4).
I made one other staff application before on a server called PowerCraft. I was fortunate enough (and lucky enough) to actually come through. The staff application format over at PowerCraft's website was similar to the format on this
During my semester off in spring of 2012, I was in China taking care of my paternal grandfather who passed away from lung cancer the April of that year. I was raised by my paternal grandparents and was really close to him. While I was in China, I volunteered at the Fujian Medical University Affiliated First Hospital. I mainly worked in the pediatric ward where I assisted physicians as they went on their rounds and helped with physican exmainations and took down medical history. I also served as translator for patients and families that spoke English. That summer I shadowed Dr Simon Chang, a Radiation Oncologist at the New York Presbyterian Hospital.
After completing this assignment, I feel as though the way I think and my outlook on certain things has changed in small, yet significant ways. For example, one of the most interesting myths, myth 28 (There’s Safety in Numbers), has changed the way I will react in situations of emergency. Having the awareness of the tendency to ignore someone in need when in a crowd will help me to overcome that tendency and actually help. I also found myths 15 (IQ Tests Are Biased against Certain Groups of People) and 20 (Researchers Have Demonstrated That Dreams Possess Symbolic Meaning) very interesting. I held some belief that dreams meant something more than just the random occurrences we see, so knowing they hold no insight into our minds and psyches makes me feel less distrait. As for myth 15, I simply found it amazing that so many people would rather blame the IQ tests for the inconsistencies in scores, rather than look deeper and take responsibility for the social disadvantages and prejudices against groups.
While sitting at my desk in a classroom overflowing with colorful decorations, my 1st grade classmates and I were taught how to add and subtract. At that moment, I had no idea that numbers would soon become one of the biggest factors in my life. Before I knew it, my journey as a number on a sheet of paper began. From third grade to my senior year of high school, I have been tested in every way, shape, and form and compared to kids all around the country. My test scores decided if I was able to move on to the next grade, what classes I took, and will soon factor into what college I will be attending. Those numbers have seemingly been the determinant in how successful I have been academically and how successful I am expected to be. Numbers even
I met my best friend Briana Williams when I was eight years old, in the second grade at Flat Rock Elementary School. Ms. Wyatt our second grade teacher would always line us up next to each other because we were both about the same height. Before you knew it we began forming a friendship.
