Nursing is very exciting and rewarding job at the same time it can be very stressful feild.
Throughout my experience working as a Nursing assistant, I was able to identify my strength and weakness. One of my major weakness is being very sensitive when patients are in pain. I sometimes cry with patients and I feel that makes them sadder. I once worked with patient who was suffering from arthritis, and she was getting medication every two hours. She sometimes cried out in pain before her next medication was due. However, the more I get experience I was able to improve and have my emotional under control at certain time especially when someone die and family members are present. Keeping my emotional undercontrol has helped me to became more effective

In general, the work place was full of people from different background and ethnic cultures. However, how you behave with everyone deterimine the success and creativelty of one self. During my work as CNA at queen anne manor senior living, Ihad to learned how to filful the patient needs from cultures perspeictive. It was tought to understand every individuals cultures and values. I have faced challenges most of the time when I work with American borne patients.

A personal attribute that will set me apart from other nurse practitioners is the health care experience that I have. Since I have worked continuously as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) and a nurse intern since 2012, I have had the opportunity to work with patients on an extremely personal level. Working as a CNA has allowed me to work my way up through the field of nursing and it has given me countless learning
Being a nurse may have their own up and downs but some strengths that I have to make it through to being a nurse is communication skills with patients or either customers. I can give good service and be someone they can talk to comfortably and being friendly with them. Another thing that I have is respectfulness because being a nurse you have to respect your patients no matter their race, color, and culture. You have to be a person to respect them so they see how determine you are as a person. Leading up to having determination to work as a nurse and to be someone that can help others as they can in society. I do have a strong determination to being a nurse since I thought about my career and I do want to succeed and graduate with it. Connecting
In my current position as the nurse of Coastal Carolina Integrated Medicine, I exercise ownership and compassion to promote patient satisfaction. My prior position as a medical assistant, at Dr. Zukoski’s office, afforded me opportunities to develop and refine my customer service, telephone etiquette, interpersonal, time management, and Microsoft Office skills. These skills enable me to successfully perform clerical duties. I made it a point to gain work experience while in school, thus demonstrating a solid work ethic. My academic courses helped me to acquire a vast knowledge of management skills, as well as healthcare policies and procedures. I am adept at business troubleshooting and problem-solving, along with management related issues
As future healthcare professionals, it is our job to continue to enhance the systems approach to diversity and cultural competence in every healthcare team/setting in which we take part. Throughout this course, we have learned the importance of becoming educated and more empathetic towards the cultures and backgrounds of our treated patients. This greater understanding of specific populations and their beliefs/traditions allows for a more well-rounded, health-based relationship between patients and their providers. Establishing a rapport with clients is just as essential to overall wellness than the actual service provided by healthcare professionals. In the field of healthcare, “…fundamental change to the status quo will not happen without the active involvement of
Conducting an interview with someone makes you see things in many different perspectives and in a new light. The person I interviewed saw nursing as a broader term that saw things in a different way even though she has just started. She knows that special people need to take roles in being a nurse. I interviewed my aunt, Ann Juknevicius. She is 30 years old and she has been a nurse for 2 years in Illinois now. Relatively she is a new nurse. One of the main reasons why I started the nursing program is because I look up to Annie a lot and she showed me so many different perspectives on how to look at people, different situations, and the way you handle things. I thought that it would be a great interview session to see if Annie’s expectations were the same as the nursing reality.
With my career goal is to become a nurse; just not ole any nurse, a great one. My strengths are very important to have. Faith is needed to help get through tough days and to also spiritually help your patients. I feel like whenever you do a task it should be done with integrity. Being a nurse, you have to be strong-minded and also able to heal and comfort mentally, emotionally, and physically, all great signs of a leader. You always have to remember that you can’t always do everything alone. Teamwork is very important in the healthcare field. Each job is important and is connected to one another. Communication is the key to many careers and very important to nursing because you have to build positive relationships with the people and patients around you.
Unfortunately, I did not have an opportunity to attend a meeting of the nursing organization that I recently became a member of. Ever since I became a member of the American Nurses Association I am very surprised by the frequent emails that I receive from the organization. I find the information that they send to be very interesting and educational. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to become a member and receive the updates and newsletters from the organization. The ANA notifies members when changes are made in the health care field and also when research studies discover new findings. I feel that much of the information provided from the ANA I will continue to incorporate into my future clinical practice as both a nurse and as an
Today, however, was different. I was determined to do everything I can to affect a change in my patient’s attitude and his outlook. After spending some time with my patient during the assessment, where we engaged in a more meaningful and personal conversation, I found out about other details, more than what the chart could possibly acquaint me. Beyond the diagnoses, beyond the disease was a person like I am that have needs, desires, and aspirations; a person capable of feeling the various human emotions. During the course of the assessment, I slowly found myself in a precarious position wherein he was actually affecting a change in me rather than I in him. Clearly, I understood his way of thinking and felt what he was feeling. This patient has taught me that nursing is not just about having an open mind, but also about having an accepting heart. Respecting my patient’s decision does not mean an erosion of my values and straying from my own set of beliefs, it just simply means I care enough. He might have given up, but I am not giving up on
Their leadership, passion, and commitment has inspired me to provide great healthcare to patients and has helped me find my biggest strengths, values, and characters that make nursing right for me which consist of compassion, empathy and my ability to listen and communicate with others. When I work with patients I care deeply about what they need and want in order to make them feel better or to help improve their day. I tend to put their needs above my own and do whatever I can to make them comfortable. I also have the ability to easily relate to other people’s stories and try to understand their throughs and feelings. I am a very good listener and am able to communicate with other people in order to make a situation better when needed. Nurses are more than people who give mediations and bandage people. They are a patient’s support system when they are having a bad day. They are schedulers, coordinators and communicators that make sure all people involved in the patients care know the most recent updates and are much
The attribute that I bring to the nursing profession is resilience. I have overcome domestic violence and brutality to chase down my goals.
Nurses handle different stressful situations during their work. Nursing is based on strength of bearing witness of human suffering. They interact with different type of personalities in during their work hours and deal with aggressive patients, family complaints, legal threats, and fear of losing their job on regular base. They place their needs after the needs of their patients, families.
When we grasp distinctive culture then we will all live in a glad society. The best from among these two approaches to beat the troubles coming about because of cultural impacts is for healthcare staff to be prepared in race balance and social consciousness of another society. This will make them to comprehend that diverse individuals have different cultures and will likewise set them up ahead on what's in store when managing administration clients with respect to their way of life and convictions or
During my clinical placements I have learned a range of nursing skills which enhanced my ability to think critically and be accountable for my own actions in the clinical setting. I think that you will find my background and experience details my high attention to detail, very strong aptitude and adaptability, strong ability to work in a team and excellent work ethics under extreme time pressure while integrating holistic care into practice.
