My main goal as of right now is to get my RN licenses. I have other goals alongside that I want to achieve as well. Such as finding a group to do mission work with and be able to use my nursing licenses to help countries struggling with bad health and also spreading the gospel to people who may have never heard it. Of course other things as finding a woman and having a family with her. As of now though my only plan is to get my nursing licenses. Now most of the requirements are very obvious and that it’s mostly about getting good grades and graduating high school. I wanna acquire as many scholarships as I can in order to pay for most of my college, but if that fails it’s not the end of the world just more of a struggle. I need to get great
“Levi Coffin Describes Margaret Garner’s Attempt to Escape Slavery” is a story about a slave named Margaret Garner, who attempted to escape slavery in the winter of 1856. The story took place in Boone County, Kentucky – a slave state and Cincinnati, Ohio - where slavery is illegal. The author, Levi Coffin, a prosperous Quaker and abolitionist, who was an active leader in the Underground Railroad network that helped thousands of fugitive slaves escape to freedom. He was a religious man and an opponent of African American slavery and felt it was his duty to feed the hungry and clothe the naked, no matter the color of the person. Several years after slavery was abolished in America, Coffin was encouraged by many of his friends to write his memoir of how Margaret Garner was driven to kill her child and attempt to kill her other three children and herself. It is the heartbreaking honesty in this act of brutality which displays what the lives of slaves were like; This shows how far an enslaved mother will go to protect her children from the pain they would endure if taken back to slavery.
Most people are terrified of death; telling people that they will suffer eternity in hell after death is the final clincher for many people. In Jonathan Edwards’ Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, Edwards pushes the limits to convince readers and listeners to accept God as their Lord and savior. Edwards utilizes his writing style to inform and persuade people, all while evoking fear and moral questioning in his audience.
1. Why are the centuries of the Tang and song dynasties in China sometimes referred to as a “golden age”?
I have a lot of dreams. Dreams to change the world and do great things. My first dream is to receive my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, followed by working as a nurse for a few years to gain hands-on experience. Second, I intend to further my education by obtaining a Master’s degree and working on improving my skills, knowledge, and understandings of the nursing field. I want to be a nurse anesthetist. They administer anesthesia to patients. When I eventually retire, I intend on giving back to future generations of nurses by becoming a Nursing Instructor, educating them and watching them grow and develop into the best-equipped nurses they can be. As a result of my experiences in life, I am more mature, grounded, and I realize that even when
After high school, my plan is to go to college majoring in nursing. While I am in the nursing program, I will intern for a hospital or a doctor’s office for more hands on experience. Following my RN degree, I plan to pursue my goal of continuing my education and becoming a nurse practitioner. I intend to work at a doctor’s office or a hospital as a RN while going to school to help pay off my loans and be able to be financially stable without needing my mother’s help. MY long term goal is to be a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Women Health. I have a desire to treat and educate those in need of medical
In 2014, I was a freshman at Hope high school, I was cool with most people. I loved to learn new things such as math and history, but I had different opinions about how I felt about everyone. I disliked my classmates just the thought of talking and making new friends made me not like school, I grew up with it as school goes by. I finally made new friends and also I was an A’s and B’s student. Most importantly I came to school almost everyday and came on time.Coming to class and learn has been one of my favorite thing to do.
My future starts with going to college and earning a degree in nursing. More specifically, i will earn a BSN (bachelors in science of nursing). I plan on attending University of Charleston in the fall. After spending about four years earning this degree i plan to join a traveling company and become a traveling nurse. I plan to only stay in North America when i travel. By becoming a travel nurse, i gain many benefits that most nurses don't get. My goal with this is to work a minimum of five years to gain and save enough money to support and pay for going back to college to gain either a master's or a doctorates degree. When i go back, i plan to specialize in neonatal nursing and eventually work up to becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner or a neonatal doctor. After earning that degree i will go back and continue traveling. Now my goals for accomplishing these future plans are fairly simple: study hard,
The past two years in the community college have been great. I have learned a lot from my well respected instructors and my peers. So now, I want to transfer to a four year college and continue to grow, broaden my understandings and improve my communication skills. Now I'm about to complete my associate in science program at Trident Technical College, in Charleston, South Carolina, where I have been successful academically and socially. During this time I was a peer tutor which furthered my knowledge of the United States and its culture all while working part time jobs. These experiences have contributed to my education as a whole. My goal is to transfer to a university and attain my bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Becoming a nurse is a goal that I have had for quite some time having seen the lack of healthcare in a developing country and the vast needs of the people. I believe it is a great profession that would allow me to be a catalyst for change while allowing me to show compassion to people and help them. Saving other people’s lives is a great incentive for me, because I came from coming from a country where people die from contaminated water, lack of food, clothing and less than sanitary conditions in some areas. Once I finish my BSN, I want to pass the knowledge I've learned to others and help those who are in need. I want to be able to help the people of the United States and Africa, especially my country home, Ethiopia. It is sad to see people not getting treatments and dying of disease. I believe completing my degree in nursing will provide me with essential tools to help bring that dream to accomplishment. Apart from my career goals, I want to enjoy life and be a positive influence in my
I was recently fortunate enough to speak with Carri Montgomery, who lists her title as the Director of the Women’s and Newborn Center for Platte Valley SCL Health. Platte valley use to be community owed and they recently joined Sister’s of Charity which includes; Good Samaritan, Lutheran, and Saint Joseph Hospital. The purpose of this interview was to interview someone where I could see myself working in what they are doing later in my career. With this interview I hoped to learn what it took for Ms. Montgomery to be in the position she is today. Also, get advice from her to see what where the things she recommended I could do when I graduate from Metropolitan State University (MSU) in 2019. It was beneficial to interview her
I recently turned 36 years old on January 29th. My daughters are sixteen and six years old. Zy’Aira my sixteen-year-old daughter has autism and is non- verbal. There are many incidents were Zy’Aira’s behavior will cause me to stay up late nights to complete my homework assignments. Being a mother of an autistic teen is challenging, yet rewarding.
I’ve never imagined myself actually taking a CNA class as a junior in high school. Since elementary I always said I wanted to become a doctor, and after maturing and researching how long it would take, I changed my mind. So therefore I set my goal to either become a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner. When I found out I met the credentials for this class, I went for it and encouraged my fellow friends to join as well.
My educational goals are to receive my Associates Degree in Nursing at Shelton State Community College so that I can work as a Registered Nurse. After working as a Registered Nurse for at least two-years, I plan on returning to school to obtain my bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Becoming a Nurse is more of a calling then just a job or a career for me. I have worked in the healthcare field as a Certified Nursing Assistant since I was eighteen years old. I have known that I’ve wanted to be a Registered Nurse since I was fourteen when I helped take care of my sick grandmother. Becoming a Nurse is very important to me because I have a passion for taking care of people and I know that I can make a big difference in people’s life.
Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, once said, “I attribute my success to this:—I never gave or took an excuse.” That is an outlook on life I try to live up to. I have had a few set backs in my college career to keep me from achieving my goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. I could have easily given up on my dream but I took those hardships and turned them into fuel to keep going. My father suffered a massive heart attack and went into cardiac arrest when I first started college. It completely flipped by life upside down. I spent weeks at a time in the hospital with him. Seeing him go in and out the hospital for years reaffirmed my need to become a nurse and help others like how those nurses took care of my father. Once I
I began working towards these goals in the 4th grade, before I even knew what I wanted to be. The National Jr. Beta Club and straight A’s were my first great achievements, only improving from there. My efforts have only increased, as well. All of my clubs, sports, extracurriculars, and honors were for the chance to make my dreams come true and achieve my goals. Even my part-time job was so that I could afford the resources I needed to get this far, and so that I could save for my college and my future. I have also spent the last year researching, completing, and submitting more than 60 scholarship applications through various schools and
I have three goals I would like to achieve during my time here at Auburn University Montgomery. One being that I would like to pass all my classes freshman year with an A. Secondly, I would like to be accepted in the Nursing program within two years of being here. Lastly, I would like to graduate with a Bachelor's in Nursing. Questions I have about achieving these goals include what are the actual in more detail requirements for the nursing program, how do I apply for the nursing program when I meet the requirements for it, and how would the classes I take now prepare me for it. I personally think my biggest challenge is to not procrastinate because even though I try not to it is a habit of mine that is really hard to break. My greatest strengths
