Nutritional Self-Assessment Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to adult men and women. “It can be used to screen for weight categories that may lead to health complications” (CDC, 2015) but it is not a reliable source of information to get a person’s body fatness or health of an individual. My BMI score is 24.4; to find that, I divided my weight in kilograms (70.9 kg) by the square of height in meters (2.9 m). HAMWI is used to calculate the ideal body weight of an individual based on their height and body frame (FitnessHealth101, 2016).
