The light that engulfed Melody blinded her for a few seconds. But once she got her vision back, she saw that she was in a boardroom. Sarah, Steve, Shelly, Michael, and Allison were there was well. “What the hell happened?” Melody asked. “Where are we?” “I have no idea,” Sarah said. “I’ll explain everything,” Monica said as she walked into the room. “In the year 2018, invaders from a planet called Oberon will come to Earth looking for machine that can be used to alter reality. It’s called a reality engine. People have used that machine so much that it created holes in the space-time continuum. The thing is, these invaders went through one of those holes and they ended up in the year 2013.” “So, you and Mom really are from Oberon,” Steve said. “All the years, my parents thought you were crazy. So, why are we here? And where are we?” …show more content…
Although it’s more like a ship. I brought you here because I need your help in saving Earth and Oberon.” “Why us?” Shelly asked. “What I can say is that it has something to do with your futures. What I can also tell you is that you all have special abilities and skills that will aid us in our mission. Melody and Sarah, you two are psychic.” “So, that explains why we both shared the same dream,” Sarah said. “Shelly, you are strategist,” Monica said. “So you will us come up with plans for our mission. Michael, since you love to write, you will document everything. Allison, since you have a black belt, and you know how to use a rifle, your fighting skills may come in handy.” “You know how to use a rifle?” Michael asked. “Yeah. I told you my mom was in the military,” Allison said. “She taught me how to use one.” “You didn’t tell me she taught you how to use a rifle.” “That’s because it would have scared the shit out of
The light hurt Wolfgang’s eyes as he open his eyes and looked up into the sky.His eyes strained because he remembers everything, the beating and his experience at Auschwitz.
In my opinion, the ending wasn’t satisfying. It wasn’t satisfying because I was expecting a little bit more. For example, when the whole entire band shaved their hair I was surprised. But, I was wondering as to why the girls didn’t do it as well, I was hoping that they’d shave their hair as well. Also, when Jeffery got sick and Steven couldn’t perform, but in the end he received an award for his drums. But, he didn’t even perform and he got the award, I thought that it was unfair for the other people that played the instruments. Also, when Steven went to Sam and she died I was heartbroken. So, I would’ve kept her alive, I would have let her meet her sister. I would let them have a reunion, then later on she would give some more advice to
“Well,” Mrs. Johnson interrupted, “how about we settled down and talk about our plans for the morning?” Everyone agreed and sat in a circle discussing their ideas. Next, they decided they should head to bed due to the early times they would have to wake in the morning. As they woke up, they put on their layers of clothes, grabbed their bags, and headed for the Johnsons’ business. They would be staying in an attic, which luckily had a bathroom, but would have to sleep all in one room. They set up their belongings and set rules which they would have to follow to stay safe.
The leader of the colony was Sir Walter Raleigh.People think they traveled for over 100 miles trying to get back. The colony of Roanoke was really just 50 miles away. The first voyage, an exploration venture led by Philip Amadas and Arthur Barlowe, landed in 1584 on the Outer Banks of present-day North Carolina and made mostly friendly contact there with the Algonquian-speaking Indians, even returning to England with two of

"and after a stunt like that she's going to need." Claire pointed out. "This isn't a job she can't afford to mess up, there is going to be about five other veterans running point with us. You don't think she needs those connections?" Claire produces a small envelope from her purse and pushes it across the table towards him.
“Well the truth is I brought you here with our time machine that the other girls and I made.” Posa informs Marilyn again.
Every day we are surrounded by technology such as phones and computers. While we know that technology can help us to improve and advance our society, it still has a downfall. When daily tasks get easier, people get lazier. In Ray Bradbury’s, Fahrenheit 451, technology is everywhere; fast cars, interactive homes, mechanical hounds, and the parlor walls. Technology can be used to make life easier, they can emphasize human characteristics of distraction, censorship, and ignorance, which could be potentially harmful for society.
A group of three boys and two girls laughed, as they threw stones to his forehead.
He was always an excited kid living with his mother, life wasn’t great, but to Jarrod as long as his mother was around he was fine. Conversely that day his mother was killed. “Jarrod!” Startled Jarrod arched up and noticed James Bernadette his subordinate. “Sorry, just thinking about.” It has been thirteen years since the accident.
The Eighth Amendment of the United States Constitution bans punishment that is cruel and unusual. Implicit in that ban is the principle of proportionality, meaning that punishment for crime should be graduated and proportioned to the offense. Punishments that are disproportionate have been deemed cruel and unusual. There is much debate about what these words mean. The debate seems to focus on whether the provision was intended only to govern modes of punishment or intended also to include a proportionality principle, prohibiting prison sentences disproportionate to the crime.
“Alexandal is under a spell. Luckily, El Krea was able to enslave his mind. And he is our commander, not our Lord Master. The Lord Master rewards failure with death. Are you ready to die, Lief?”
“Yeah,” Zack responded with some sparkle in his eye. “I’m sure Ben and Zoe will join her.”
EDWARD HYDE positively deteriorated throughout the rest of the evening -- his words, while long and elegant and therefore best suited for the upper classes, slurred together, suggestive of a cheap windchime’s discordant tin. His chair inched ever-closer to that of Utterson’s throughout the evening. The lawyer recoiled upon catching a whiff of the man’s breath and motioned to Poole, anxious for the safety of his friend lest Hyde, in such an intoxicated state, should deem it fit to remain at the house overnight.
“Well my brother and I have special powers Henly can see into the future and I can read peoples
