What is obesity? It is when someone is so overweight that is a threat to their own health. Today obesity is a growing global health problem among children, teenagers and adults. This is due to over-eating especially when the person is over — eating unhealthy foods and a lack of enough exercise throughout the day. Doctors and scientist have found that children who are depressed and are often left alone because their parents are always busy with work or other things are more at risk to be obese then children who are in a home where their parents are attentive of what their children are doing, depressive children see food as a way of getting out and not facing their problem to them food is the answer which often leads to overeating to an extreme that becomes dangerous to them and their health. These children sit in front of the television and eat away while watching various different types of shows which doesn 't allow them to think about how much junk food or unhealthy food is being consumed by the child and parents aren 't there to watch their children and teach them that it isn 't a good nutritional choice. What are the factors that contribute to obesity? This question cannot be answered simply because there are many factors that contribute to obesity, such as parental income, lack of exercise, time limits and poor food consumption choices along with many more. All these are factors that can lead to obesity problems in children and adults. Parental income or just income in general for a family or a single person may lead them to become obese because maybe because some can 't afford a healthy meal for their children or themselves which then leads to poor food consumption choices instead of buying a healthy meal they buy something that doesn 't cost much, but doesn 't have any
